Title: National football arena issue and public attitude to its construction Objectives: The main aim of this bachelor thesis is to find out Czech public attitude toward a national football arena construction. This research was conducted through a questionnaire survey. The results have shown football public opinion on the national football arena project and the main public ideas about the construction. Methods: A descriptive analysis was used to analyze the national football arena issue. Electronic version of questionnaire survey has been used to find out public attitude to national football arena construction. Results: The results of this research have shown the diversity of Czech public attitude. However, we can claim that most of football public supports the national football arena construction. Czech Architect during the Political Changes after 1989

In this thesis, the author wants to deal with the broad spectrum of the contemporary Czech architecture. However, the phrase "Czech architect" appears in the title to show that this thesis is not a critical analysis of the stylish development of Czech architecture, but rather a search for links and inspirations that define the modern architectural profession in Czech society. These links and connections are deeply rooted in architects' experiences before and after the political regime change. The author feels that the architects' understanding of today's society and political transformation will help clarify some uncertainties of their meaning and status. One can understand the modern architects and the course of the Czech chamber of architecture as well as the public sector with it's ever changing tendencies ever since 1989 if the broad spectrum of contemporary architecture is kept in perspective.

Environmental education and a municipality with extended powers

SUMMARY: Environmental education is not a matter of only educational system but of the integrity of all external influences which affect people in the course of their life. Also state administration plays an important role the basic element of which is a municipality potentially comprising a very important task. The thesis aims to highlight the possibility how state authorities may affect implementation of CEPA with stress on educational system. The thesis is divided into three sections - theoretical, analytic and propositional chapters. The theoretical part focuses on starting situation, progress, goals and tasks of EEA projects and legislation. The analytic part deals with gathered facts and evaluates them from the point of the state of CEPA implementation within the area of a chosen municipality with extended powers. The propositional part contains a SWOT analysis and a proposal of particular measures leading to improvement of the situation and a draft "Concept of CEPA development of the selected municipality with extended powers".

The Right to Information and the Public Participation in the Environmental Matters

Presented dissertation is devoted to the participation of lay element in the environmental matters within the public administration. In these matters it is necessary to find the compromises that should reflect the private plans (of investors and the owners), exercising of the public participation and the public interests too. The cooperation among the administrative authorities, public subjects and private subjects shall be constructive, based on a real legal ground. The target of this thesis is to make an overview of the ways that Czech legal system (based on the international and European law) gives to the public in order to participate on the public administrative in the environmental matters. The important finding of the thesis is evaluation of efficiency of partial tools and also of risks connected with their application. The main terms, motives, preconditions and the importance of public participation in the environmental matters are defined in the introduction. Apart from that the main principles of the public participation are defined. The most important document for public participation, the Convention on Access to Information, Public Participation in Decision-making and Access to Justice in Environmental Matters (Aarhus Convention), is analyzed in this dissertation. Primary Architecture / Architecture is Coming

The aim of the work is to find a suitable way and solution of mediating architecture and its broad themes into the lives of the public. To design an ideal space and suitable conditions for the popularization not only of architecture, but also of related fields such as art, landscape architecture and construction, where all these disciplines will be connected. The main part of the design is to find a suitable way to "transfer" architecture from large cities and those in which it is taught to regional cities or villages. This way of presentation and sharing would be carried out by mobile pavilions, which would create mobile studios. The entire system will be coordinated and managed by the building, where these mobile pavilions will be merged and modularized. The building will create a "center of architecture", where all functions will be combined. This centre serves as a complementary function to the schools of architecture, civil engineering, fine arts and landscape architecture. Thus, there will be cooperation between students across all disciplines with a place for presentation and exhibition to the public.
