The aim of the diploma thesis is to design a new office building with client operation. The building is designed with requirements for buildings with almost zero energy consumption. The project also includes a complete fire safety solution for the building and a certificate of the building's energy performance. The diploma thesis is processed in the form of documentation for execution of the project.
Returnig to Normal Life after Prolonged Period on ICU Following Major Surgical Procedures
Žánová, Libuše ; Židková, Lucie (advisor) ; Pucholtová, Romana (referee) ; Hocková, Jana (referee)
Introductin: The diploma thesis deals wits the quality of life of patients who have undergone more demanding surgery in the area of thoracic or abdominal surgery and were subsequently connected to artificial at present. This increases the need for patients to be places in an intensive care unit. Whwther i tis performance intenzity, length of anesthesia, possible complications during surgery or age of the patient. Stay in intensive care for a patient is physically and mentally very demanding, which may lead to deterioration in qaulity of life after returning to the home environment. Methodology: The research itself was carried out in the framework of qualitative research using a sem- structured interview. The interview was made up of the maim questions that could be supplemented by supplementary questions. Researchers selected patiens who had more severe surgery in the chas tor abdomen and were vented for at least 48 hours. The study also include patients who had a "minor" surgery but had complications nad had to be connected to artificial pulmonary ventilation. The research was conducted from August 2018 tu February 2019. Research Objektive: The main goal of the diploma thesis is to map the quality of life of patients who were hospitalized under intensive care and were exposed to PICS (Post...
Design of fan for electric machines
Švec, Dalibor ; Appel, Martin (referee) ; Vlach, Radek (advisor)
Aim of this bachelor thesis is to program a design calculator for different types of ventilators. Calculator should be able to display design of ventilator, draw characteristics to a graph and show characteristic numbers of ventilator. Calculation is based on characteristic numbers and theory developed especially for ventilators.
Modelling of changes of the intracranial pressure (ICP) during physiological and pathological processes
Vaněk, Petr ; Otáhal, Jakub (advisor) ; Suchomel, Petr (referee) ; Sameš, Martin (referee)
The more we know about the circulation of CSF through ventricle system, brain parenchyma, subarachnoideal space and the development of intracranial pressure (ICP), the more we understand different pathologies and pathological processes of the central cervous system. The knowledge about the basic hydrodynamic charecteristics of craniospinal system is a key factor for understanding a wide range of pathological situations affecting CNS, these are for example intracranial hypertension, normal pressure hydrocephalus and syringomyelia. In the presented paper, we are presenting a newly developed measuring system Visionbrain that enables us to gain the biological data and consequently to analyse them. At the same time, the results of such measurements were used to specify the compertmental model of CSF circulation. The model devides craniospinal system into five divisions - two intracranial and three spinal. Such model is the third generation of this model and, compared to the older version, it includes two intracranial veins. Thanks to this stucture, the model enables us simultaneous modeling of heart and respiratory pulsations of CSF. Compared to the other published models, it also includes defined structure of spinal part. The model is derived using laws of conservation and it encompasses pressure...
Wind-tunnel Modelling of Turbulent Flow Inside the Street Canyon
Kellnerová, Radka ; Jaňour, Zbyněk (advisor) ; Brechler, Josef (referee) ; Jonáš, Pavel (referee)
Turbulent flow inside a street canyon was investigated in an open circuit wind tunnel and in a blow-down wind channel. Two geometries were used for comparison purposes: buildings with pitched roofs and with flat roofs. Both generate the flow of a different category, so the induced ventilation regimes are fundamentally different. Quadrant, Fourier and Wavelet analysis, Proper Orthogonal Decomposition (POD) and vortex detection methods are used to identify coherent structures in the flow and establish their impact on the ventilation of pollution. Two types of the organised motions are detected: the compact areas of sweep and ejection with the scale comparable to the size of building and the small vortices generated in the shear layer behind the building roof. POD identifies the most dominant modes with high coherency in the flow and evaluates the relative contributions of each mode to the overall kinetic energy of turbulence. Rigorous analysis of the correctness of the physical interpretation for such a decomposition is carried out. Wavelet analysis is applied to the time-series of the POD expansion coefficients in order to reveal control mechanism of the dynamics of the modes. Vorticity, calculated from the original velocity data, is decomposed by POD as well. Finally, the correlation between the vorticity...
The Effect of Alcohol Ingestion on Maximal Treadmill Performance
Smrčková, Zuzana ; Strejcová, Barbora (advisor) ; Česák, Petr (referee)
Title: The Effect of Alcohol Ingestion on Maximal Treadmill Performance Objectives: The aim of this study was to assessed the effect of alcohol consumption before sport performance on the maximal running test and values of respiratory parameters. Methods: This study attended 7 girls age 21,3 ± 1,0 years which are active in sports. They had been running at the treadmill first time after intake of juice with alcohol in relation with their fat free mass and secondly only after intake of juice. This is called Switch replication design. Independent variable was ingestion of alcohol and dependent variables were maximal relative oxygen consumption, heart rate, minute ventilation and respiratory exchange ratio. Alcoholic history of each participant was detected. For this study were used treadmill ergometer Quasar (Cosmos, Germany), the metabolic analyser Metalyzer (Cortex, Germany) and the sporttester Polar. Results: Paired t-test was used for evaluation of the results. The measured values were not statistically significant with the level of significance 0,05. The measured values were individually evaluated in the same time and increase of minute ventilation was confirmed at 5 tested girls otherwise the effect of alcohol on maximal relative oxygen consumption and heart rate was not proved. The alcohol did...
Development of ventilating turbines
Křupka, Jiří ; Malach, František (referee) ; Malášek, Jiří (advisor)
This Master thesis solves a construction development of alternative modular mechanical systems for ventilation turbines. A research part of the thesis deals with the issues of transported medium (air) and ventilation, as well as functions, designs of ventilation turbines, and finally it provides an overview of ventilation turbines produced by manufacturers worldwide; these are used for ventilation of residential, commercial, industrial or agricultural structures using the natural or hybrid ventilation. A construction - design part is focused on creating 3D models of selected alternative modular adjustable ventilation turbines according to the data provided by the thesis supervisor and then on establishing a system for calculating the shapes of blades relative to the airflow for additional axial fan of ventilation turbines. For this purpose, a customized software application VENTILATOR (GUI) was developed to allow a flexible change of input calculation parameters and thus a fast modification of the curve shape in the 3D model of the axial fan blade.

Blažek, Dušan ; Fiala, Miloš (advisor) ; Bažant, Filip (referee)
Title: Hyperventilation in diving Objectives: The main goal of this labour is to finde out, if hyperventilation and inhalation of high-percent oxygen has influence on sport effort in diving. Also outline possible danger and hazards in diving. Very important goal of this labour is to inform reader about diseases and shocks connected with diving, and first aid when they come actual. Methods: In this labour, I used analysis method of documents. It was mainly used literature sources related to human physiology and scuba diving. Results: From this labour results, that hyperventilation and inhalation of high procent oxygen rises achievment at free diving and may have positive influence in short route swimming. The rest of this labour has mainly informative character about physiology and dangers connected to diving. Labour can serve as informative material for beggining divers. Keywords: hypoxya, ventilating, oxygen, acidosis, tetany
