Initial Education Of Early Years Teachers And The Profession's Needs

The thesis deals with undergraduate training of kindergarten teachers. The aim is to compare the issue of preparation for the profession of kindergarten teacher from different perspectives in historical and international comparisons and reflect and analyze the needs of the profession towards initial training kindergarten teachers on the basis of theoretical concepts and statements from practice. The reaserch aims to analyze the curriculum of initial training kindergarten teachers at selected faculties of education in the Czech Republic, analyze and reflect on meeting the needs of the profession in these faculties and learn how to evaluate their students' level of development of their professional competence at the beginning of undergraduate training and at the end. Research design is a multi-case study. Working with reaserch respondents has a longitudinal character. Methods were used quantitative and qualitative methodology - questionnaire, rating scales, content analysis of documents, interview and focus group. Options to include children under three years to nursery schools in the Mělník region

The diploma thesis deals with the age category of children which are under three years old and their potential to be accepted to nursery schools in this region. The thesis generally summarizes all the current knowledge about that if is it possible to place the children of this age into pre-school institutions and under what conditions. Thesis also deals with providing care, upbringing and education of children under three years, the overall readiness of kindergartens to fulfill those demands and also opinions of pedagogical public. In the theoretical part the author explains legislative requirements of accepting the children under three years into nursery schools. The author also describes and characterizes the child development between second and third year of life. The thesis deals with the specific peculiarities of these children their adaptation and describes their possibilities to be accepted by kindergartens. The author looks into the possibility to be accepted in conditions of social needs of families and also in terms of education legislation. Adaptation to kindergarten and appropriate activities for four-year-olds and younger children

This bachelor's thesis focuses on the issue of child adaptation into the kindergarten environment, particularly children four years old and younger. Special attention is given to games and activities that strengthen the relationship of the child with the teacher or the other kids and strengthen the security of the child in his new environment. In the theoretical part, the student will focus on the preschool-aged child's socialization and the aspects related to his transition from a family environment into the wider environment of a kindergarten school. The main objective of the study, which is part of the thesis, is to find out about the adaptation process with three to four-year-old children entering kindergarten and what factors influence this process. The practical part of the thesis presents three case studies of children between the ages of three and four, who start going to the kindergarten for their first time, focusing on adaptation in the kindergarten. The survey was conducted by a combination of interviews with parents, the child, the principal of the kindergarten school and by observing the child directly in the kindergarten.
Work satisfaction of nursery school teachers

The work focuses on the selection and further study of factors concerning work satisfaction of kindergarten teachers. The theoretical part of the final bachelor's thesis presents findings from literature review concerning definitions, signs, determinants and theories of work satisfaction and related subjects. Consequently the work concentrates on the analysis of real life assets related to kindergarten teachers' work performance. A questionnaire survey in the practical part of this work identifies the most explanatory factors of work satisfaction. Another focus is on the importance of other variables influencing the general work satisfaction of kindergarten teachers. Levels of current work satisfaction of kindergarten teachers are then compared among the three regions within the Czech republic. The survey results together with theoretical findings may provide more detailed point of view under the given conditions as well as serve to managers with topics for consideration and resposible approach to this subject.
