Design of Device for Damper Characteristic Measurement
Šplíchal, Bohuslav ; Kučera, Pavel (referee) ; Hejtmánek, Petr (advisor)
This Diploma thesis deals with the design of facilities for measuring characteristics of the cars shock absorbers. It describes damped vibration, construction design of shock absorbers and their diagnostics methods followed by description of shock absorbers characteristics and the design of linear motor driven device.
Measurement of wear in shock absorber with magnetorheological fluid
Žáček, Jiří ; Strecker, Zbyněk (referee) ; Roupec, Jakub (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with measurement of abrasivity of magnetorheological fluids and its effect on hydraulic shock absorber. The abrasion could be measured and evaluated by many ways. The pin on block measurement method has been selected for this test. The pin was moving on a steel block while the whole system was surrounded by magnetorheological fluid. According to results, the lifetime of magnetorheological shock absorber is 4 times shorter than classical damper. Results of this thesis could be helpful in damper construction or in development of new magnetorheological fluids.
GUI for Automotive Tester
Bilík, Šimon ; Čala, Martin (referee) ; Beneš, Petr (advisor)
This thesis is aiming in problematic of shock absorber testing, namely by resonance adhesive test methodology EUSAMA. The goal of the thesis was to make a program for measuring and processing signals from shock absorber tester with a graphical user interface to operate of this program. The program was written in the LabVIEW programing language and for data acquisition was used acquisition hardware of the company National Instruments.
Axle assessment using the EUSAMA methodology
Vítek, Lukáš ; Roupec, Jakub (referee) ; Mazůrek, Ivan (advisor)
This bachaleor thesis deals with optimalization of axle assessment. The introduction is directed to description shock absorber, non-assembling diagnostics and dynamics of vehicles. The automotive suspension is meant to provide comfort and mainly safety for the passengers. Because shock absorber are stressed, it must be controled. The most important kind of non-assembling diagnostics for this thesis is EUSAMA methodology. All measurement are realized with resonant adhesive tester, which is named TriTec. This device is structural simpler, then other one.
Adjustable crank mechanism for shock absorber testing rig.
Podhorský, Petr ; Číž, Petr (referee) ; Mazůrek, Ivan (advisor)
This bechelor thesis deals with redesing of the mechanical shock absorber tester, which is situated in laboratory of designed department. First part focuses on the principle of shock absorbers and division. Next is something about devices, which are used to testing the shock absorbers. Because these equipments are a wealth of species, work is focusing on the devices, which tests excluded shock absorber only. The next part describes a few variants reconstruction of referenced tester. After that is chosen variant, which is the most simple, economic and production simple. This variant is after that numerically checked. In the end is educt, which describe the tester redesign.
Use of 3D printing for the construction of loaded parts
Matějka, Tomáš ; Fojtášek, Jan (referee) ; Zháňal, Lubor (advisor)
This thesis deals with designing and manufacturing of a 3D printed bump stop part of shock absorber with a predetermined deformation characteristic. The aim of this thesis is to confirm or refute the suitability of using 3D printers to produce stressed components. The introduction deals with the approach of the method of additive technology using three-dimensional fixed objects, the method of 3D printing. Followed by a division of individual methods, types of printers and usable materials. The suitability of use for our specific case is also mentioned there. Furthermore, in this thesis, the model itself is designed and the assumed deformation characteristics of the bump stop are calculated using the finite element method. The next part of the thesis describes the production of the bump stop using a 3D printer, the advantages and weaknesses of this technology and evaluated the printed model itself compared to the proposed one. The conclusion of the thesis is devoted to testing the manufactured bump stop, from which follows the suitability of using this technology.
Design of device for measurement of vehicle shock absorbers
Duda, Martin ; Hejtmánek, Petr (referee) ; Vančura, Jan (advisor)
This Diploma thesis deals with the design of device for measurement of vehicle shock absorbers. It describes shock absorbers and options for their diagnostics. In the next part describes design of device, strength analysis, modal analysis, and cost estimate. Transferring torque of device is realized by scotch yoke mechanism.
Computational models of shock absorbers of plastic and hyperelastic materials
Burdík, Martin ; Vlach, Radek (referee) ; Burša, Jiří (advisor)
An aim of the given thesis is creating of a computational model of strain-stress behaviour of shock absorbers made of plastic and hyperelastic material. First step is get ecquaint with theory of large strains, theory of hyperelasticity and plasticity. Next step is get ecquaint with options of commercial programs based on MKP. Based on this knowledge, models of simple shock absorber are made. With created models, crash tests are simulated and property of shock absorbers are compared.
Reconstruktion of shock absorber test rig
Smejkal, David ; Strecker, Zbyněk (referee) ; Mazůrek, Ivan (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on the reconstruction of shock absorber test rig which is placed in the laboratory of Machine and Industrial Design. The introduction deals with the basic description of particular dampers. There are also analyzed the dismantling and non-dismantling testers that serve for testing of dampers. Several special testers and testing devices are listed in this paper. There is a thorough division and description of dismantling testers. In the following chapters are mentioned various kinds of software used in the testing device for simulation of operating conditions. A special attention has been paid to the analysis of the function of hydraulic servo valve. The last chapter of this part is devoted to the description of the existing tester at UK and the advantages of a hydraulic tester comparing to the mechanical one. In the practical part of my Bachelor work are suggested several reconstruction options of the above mentioned tester. Subsequently the alternations that best meet requirements of simplicity and cost-effectiveness are chosen.
