The goal of the diploma thesis is to evaluate the possibilities of a new land use between the southern part of the housing area Kamechy and the northern part of Žebětín. The area is divided into southern and northern part by a distinct terrain fault and the bed of the stream Vrbovec. The northern part is closely connected to the housing area Kamechy. In the central plain of the southern part is located a brownfield area of former agricultural cooperative. Dobeš, Jan ; Muroň, Ivo (referee) ; Ležatka, Lukáš (advisor) ; Šuhajda, Karel (advisor)
The subject of the bachelor's thesis is the reconstruction of a historic building in the village of Zlobice and the addition of a municipal office together with premises for technical services of the village. This project is a continuation of the subject AG034 Studio of Architectural Creation 4 - restoration of monuments. The solved object was built in the 1920s. Originally, it had only one floor. It is located in the heart of the original village. It is part of a terraced development of country houses. At the turn of the 20th and 21st century, a part with a bathroom and an apartment for the administrator was added to the building. During this period, the second floor was rebuilt and 3 apartments were built here, one of which is in very good, well-preserved condition. The design seeks to complete the courtyard of the building to its original condition according to historical documents. The extension with bathroom and apartment for the administrator will be removed. It will be replaced by the municipal office building and the technical services building, which is perpendicular to the office. The first floor of the historic building will be used for social and representative events of the village. One room is reserved for the clubhouse. The second floor of the historic building will have the village as a possible social housing. The largest apartment is reserved for the building manager. The courtyard is closed by a building that serves the purposes of the adjacent park. The former forest park was transformed into two areas separated by a path. On one side are residential terraces. On other side, an auditorium and parquet space is created for possible outdoor events.

The Building on Obilní trh
Daňová, Barbora ; Štěpánek, Martin (referee) ; Kratochvíl, Jan (advisor)
The gap on the opposite side of Obilní trh has been a neglected area for a long time and it looks unaesthetic. The location of the place is ideal for the construction of a building of public interest as it is located near the city center and at the same time it is surrounded by nature especially the park around the castle Spilberk. The situation is solved in this thesis by designing a multifunctional building which houses mainly the Office of district Brno střed, Brno City Architect's Office and the Urban Center. The premises attract with their variable use and also with the mutual communication of the building with the outdoor spaces. The urbanism of the design respects and complements the surrounding public space while not disturbing the current state of public infrastructure and life in the city. On the contrary, the design supports the attractiveness of the place and the city of Brno as such.

Design of sustainable urban structure of the 21st century in the Czech Republic
Dubinová, Veronika ; Erben, Adam (referee) ; Pavlovský, Tomáš (advisor)
The objective of the diploma project was to repurpose the area of military barracks in the residential neighbourhood of Černá Pole in Brno. The thesis sets out to design a new urbanistic concept within the already existing structure, devise a new town square, a park and a town hall for the district of Brno-Sever. In this project, I aimed to fill in the chasm in the current construction and create a new lively neighbourhood. The selected area is to provide its residents with high standard of living and a rich selection of facilities. The essential aspect was to focus on different types of the residential development that surrounds the given perimeter. The eastern and the southern side reveals terraced houses and family houses, while on the west side the conservatory of the Mendel University is laid out and in the north high-rises can be seen. Through this project a new space emerges, activated through various types of residential development while blending with the residual structures. Also, another goal was to design a new town hall for Brno-Sever with a cultural centre, situate a new kindergarten in the area and construct a community centre with sports facilities. Due to the lack of more prominent town square in the city district Černá Pole, the positioning of this feature was highly significant in my project. The designed square should be multifunctional, enabling the residents or wider public a wide range of utilization.

It is part of the so-called Brno ring-circuit, which originated in the 19th century after the demolishing of the town's fortifications. By function, the site can be divided into three parts. In the southern part is designed entry area with the building of metropolitan significance - city hall. This area is focused on the main pedestrian entrance from Nádražní Street and the main transport hub in front of Central Station. Metropolitan building is the main compositional and functional accent of the area. In the middle of the park is located pavillion, which forms reclined relax and rest area. In the northern part is designed multifunctional house with the main function of rentable office spaces. Along Benešova street is designed linear insulating greenery. Design of park and line of green spaces extends ,, green ring "around the historical center on the southeast side. The designed facility of metropolitan building was placed in the area so as to form endpoints in main compositional visual axis - boarding pedestrians routes from Nádražní Street and Theatre Street. In the future it envisages the realization of green spaces for rail routes in the manner of Highline Park, making it the visual endpoint from the east. The main entrance to the building is the from the square. From the western part of the Metropolitan building is designed pedestrian zone open towards urban greenery and park. In the pedestrian zone is designed commercial parterre of town hall with the possibility of creating a summer terrace, exhibitions and various artistic activities. In this usage is also involved pavillion, under which the overlay can be used for supporting the ongoing activities within the metropolitan house. From the north side of city hall is a secondary entrance to the restaurant section, which is oriented to the designed park. In the northern part is the territory compositionally enclosed by multifunctional building, which is composed in the form of a closed block with passages.
