MICHALOVÁ, Veronika
This diploma thesis focuses on issues related to spatial planning, specifically the territorial study. The territorial study is conducted in a selected locality which is the cadastral area of Nové Hrady. Based on the analysis in the given area, the low civic amenities near the Vilová Čtvrť were evaluated, therefore the territorial study deals with the evaluation and finding of a suitable location for a new recreation center and a new supermarket. The suggested locations are firstly thoroughly described and then compared to each other. The most suitable variant is selected from the proposed locations. The first part of the work is devoted to literary research. The result of the work is finding a suitable location for the construction of a recreation center and a new supermarket.
Development of the functional autonomy of municipalities in the Prague urban region during the period 1990-2019
Štrba, Šimon ; Ouředníček, Martin (advisor) ; Šimon, Martin (referee)
5 ABSTRACT The thesis investigates the development of the functional autonomy of municipalities in the Prague hinterland in the period 1991-2020. The dynamic population growth of the Prague hinterland, mainly fuelled by residential suburbanization, led to the strengthening of centripetal movements to work and school at the beginning of the transformation. In the later stages of the study period, this relationship begins to change in favour of a more functionally independent hinterland. The functional autonomy of the municipalities has been monitored at three levels: the deconcentration of employment opportunities in social and commercial services, the development of educational infrastructure, medical and retail amenities, and the evolution of commuting flows between Prague and its hinterland. Both the increase in employment opportunities in social and commercial services and the development of basic amenities point to a significant increase in the functional autonomy of settlements in the hinterland of Prague. However, in terms of work and school commuting, hinterland settlements are still strongly interconnected with the core. At the same time, however, work commuting from the core to the hinterland has increased, suggesting a persistent mismatch between the location of work and home of urban region...

Kopijevská, Kateřina ; Klimecký, Martin (referee) ; Gerö, Jiří (advisor) ; Matějka, Libor (advisor)
The subject of the bachelor thesis is the design of a multifunctional house in Poděbrady. The work is based on the study in the subject AG034 - Studio of Architectural Creation 4. The solved area is located between Paroubkova Street and Jiřího náměstí in Poděbrady, where the height difference between the street and the square is 6.3 m and the goal is to connect these two places with passage. It is an extension to the existing burgher house, whose northern facade towards the square is under historical protection. The extension is therefore located on the western part of the plot. A staircase from Paroubkova Street to the atrium serves to overcome the height difference. The building consists of 6 floors, where 3 floors serve as garages, which 1 of them is completely underground, and 3 floors, which are used for civic amenities and housing, which are connected to the existing building. There is a roofed atrium as a connection between the existing and the newly designed building. On each floor there are 3 residential units with a disposition of 3 + KK, where the apartments are connected by a built-on gallery. The optical barrier between the atrium and the apartments is formed by a designed steel dividing wall. The construction system of the building is combined from reinforced concrete columns with girders and a wall. The ceiling structures are designed from reinforced concrete slabs. The structure is partly covered by a flat roof and partly by a glazed roof.

Bursa, Otakar ; Netrdová, Pavlína (advisor) ; Kubeš, Jan (referee)
Residential satisfaction belongs to important elements of human's satisfaction with life. It is created by the unique set of different components to which the accessibility and quality of civic amenities in a neighbourhood may also be included. Nevertheless, the importance of this factor used to be underestimated and the real connexion between residential satisfaction and the presence of civic amenities has not come out so far (Swindell, Kelly 2005). Therefore, the diploma thesis focuses on the qualitative- analytical research of residential satisfaction in two differently served Prague's localities with the aim to deepen the current knowledge of this issue. The results show that the presence of civic amenities in the neighbourhood has a significant effect in creating residential satisfaction which is comparable to the quality of housing and neighbourhood features. However, this relationship is partly influenced by the assigned importance of services' presence that especially varies according to the locality type (housing estate or suburban) and the position of household in a life cycle. Keywords: residential satisfaction, civic amenities, Prague, housing estate, suburb

Bušinová, Eva ; Erben, Adam (referee) ; Pavlovský, Tomáš (advisor)
The thesis deals with the design of a sustainable urban structure, based on a medieval city, in the 21st century. The main idea of the proposal is the creation of a new part of the town Náměšť nad Oslavou with the aim of connecting it with the existing urban structure and at the same time extending it to the missing elements of the developing city. The newly built area is designed with an emphasis on the construction of new residential housing with civil facilities services, while designing and creating public spaces and private parts of courtyards and villas. The aim of the thesis was to design a growing territory so that it adapts to the needs of today's society and at the same time became part of the existing city. From an urban point of view, based on the theme of the thesis, the aim is to combine elements of a medieval city with elements of a city built in the 21st century. The concept is based on a planned network of streets with multifunctional buildings designed for trade and production in the ground floor and housing on other floors, which originated in the medieval city. The emblem of the medieval city was the emotional perception of the connection of strict lines and strange shapes into one whole, and therefore buildings were designed in a new part of the city for living with almost clean geometric lines, while the objects of civil facilities are organic shapes.
