1 Hearing in Contentious Procedure Abstract This rigorous thesis deals with a hearing as a key phase of a contentious procedure in which the presiding judge, in cooperation with the parties, takes evidence and undertakes other appropriate measures in order to ensure complete and fair hearing without undue delay in the proceedings. The primary aim of this rigorous thesis is to describe the course of a hearing in the contentious procedure, as well as to analyse its legal basis governed by the provisions of § 115 et seq. of Act No. 99/1963 Coll., Code of Civil Procedure, as amended. For the sake of clarity, the text of this rigorous thesis is divided into five parts marked with letters A to E, which then contain 11 chapters. Firstly, the essential concepts are defined in Part A. The concept of "contentious procedure" is defined, its parties and their adversarial positions are introduced, their procedural initiative is described, as well as the function of the contentious procedure itself. Subsequently, the key concept of a "hearing" and its purpose is defined. Speech understanding before entering elementary school

The diploma thesis is focused on the area of speech understanding by children before entering the elementary school from the speech therapist's point of view. The thesis focuses on diagnostics. There is a dearth of diagnostic material nowadays, which is a reason for the creation of Speech Understanding before entering elementary school Test. This test is meant for children over five years of age. The theoretical part of the thesis characterizes preschool children from the psychical and motorial development point of view. Furthermore, the theoretical part focuses on the description of preschool child communication, with particular attention to the development of the lexical-semantic language area and summarizes knowledge of speech understanding, development of speechunderstanding, and speech understanding process. Finally, there is a brief description of a few conditions. The research judged the impact of these conditions on speech understanding. The research includes the processed results from the screening of speech understanding with the mentioned diagnostical material. Quality of life of people with acquired hearing disability in adulthood

This thesis is focuced on the quality of life of people with acquired hearing disability in the age between forty and sixty years. In the theoretical part there are outlined physical, psychic and social characteristics of persons in the age range and then there are defined the elementary concepts concerning hearing impairment, diagnostics, compensation and there is also explained concept of the quality of life. Practical part of the thesis concentrates on a analysis of the qualitative research that the author of this thesis implemented. The aim of this thesis is especially to clarify how do people with the acquired hearing disability rate their quality of life - how do they interpret this construct, which aspects do they include, and how much does the acquired hearing disability influence their subjective quality of life. For that reason interviews with some informants were implemented. The results of the qualitative research shows that the essential effect on the quality of life of the individuals has their satistaction with their family life and their occupation. Informants describes occasional problems with communication that are caused by their acquired hearing disability, however, these problems does not influence the informants' subjective feeling of well being. Creating snoezelen room for pupils with severe mental and combined disabilities

The thesis deals with the creation of Snoezelen room, its characteristics and properties. He is more closely involved with the creation of snoezelen for pupils with mental and combined disabilities who are trained in special primary schools. The work describes the target group, defines the snoezelen method and describes its origin and development in our country and abroad. The main goal of the thesis is to explain to the reader how the rooms are created and what it is necessary to know before deciding to launch the snoezelen room. This information was used mainly by special teachers who operate snoezelena in facilities where they work in schools. The thesis also touches on the topic of education at special schools, methods of working with these pupils and describes types of expressive therapies, therapies, basal stimulation and sensory stimulation. The thesis also reflects the Snoezelen-MSE qualification course in theory and practice, which was the main source. The output of the thesis is a proposed room model, description of equipment and activities that are suitable for working with disadvantaged pupils.
Mobile Applications For Human Hearing Sensitivity Aassesment

Based on the literature research I program mobile Android application for audiometric measurement. To ensure precise measurement of the sound output, I also implemented calibration unit in the application.

Bachelor thesis aims to evaluate changes of sensitive human hearing through created mobile application. According to obtained teoretical knowledges mobile application provide audiometrical measurements. In connection with this is described adjustments of sound outcomes of mobile, which is set in pursuance of calibrate unit. In the next part is described methodics of measuring and processing measured data. Static evaluation is processed on collected measured data from one proband and group of probands. Measurements on one proband were repeated for couple of days. The end of this thesis discusses about obtained results, which challenges the hypothes about sensitivity of hearing.
Speech understanding in preschool children

The purpose of this master thesis is to investigate how preschool children understand speech, particularly its development, therapies and diagnostics. It was created a test called Rozumění řeči (V. K.) (Understanding of Speech) because of lack of diagnostic material for examination of understanding of speech, auditory memory and attention. The test was produced in three versions for children from 4 to 7 years. Theoretical part deals with the characteristics of preschool age and the development of communication skills, especially the level of lexical-semantic language and the possibility of developing an understanding of speech and auditory perception. At the end of the theoretical part I describe the aspects (diagnosis)that had an impact on understanding of speech. The empirical part shows the practical use of the test Understanding of Speech (V.K.) in three versions. In total it was 302 children who completed the test that helped me to compare aspects which has got an influence on difficulties in understanding of speech. It has been proven that most children had at least a weak difficulty in understanding, memory and auditors attention. Modified texts for deaf pupils and their use in teaching practice

The diploma thesis deals with adjustments and consequent application of texts in the field of education of pupils with hearing disorders, and investigates potential advantages and disadvantages of such adjustments. Texts have been used practically at three elementary schools for hearing impaired pupils. Primary school pupils were given unedited texts, and consequently their edited versions, and the comprehensibility of texts from the reader's perspective was tested. A fairy tale and a fable were chosen for the research. The acquired answers to questions aimed at the content of given texts were then processed and formulated in the conclusion of the research.
