Burning pellets from non-wood biomass in boilers I
Knob, Jan ; Zejda, Vojtěch (referee) ; Brummer, Vladimír (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with combustion of non-woody biomass pellets in boilers. In the first part of the background research, biomass is generally described in terms of fuel properties, with a focus on characteristics determining its suitability for a direct combustion in boilers and undesirable emissions. In this context, planned legislative restrictions of boilers with a lower operating power are summarized. Furthermore the usage of the automatic boilers, and specific problems associated with combustion of non-woody pellets are described. Final part of the background research focuses on a composition of commercially available non-woody pellets and their production. Experimental part consists of fuel analysis determining the general properties of the biofuel - i.e. the water and ash content, essential content of elements, lower and higher heating values. Results of analysis are used to put together fuel lists of tested pellets. Conclusion of the experimental part discusses the influence of the pellet composition on the boiler functionality and emissions.
Fireplace for heating
Vítek, Zdeněk ; Baláš, Marek (referee) ; Lisý, Martin (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with combustion of wood in small fireplace, fireplace inlay specifically. This thesis is divided into four main parts. First chapters follow up stoves and their construction. The second parts describes the calculation and design of the stove. The third part focuses on the manufacturing of fireplace. At the end there is a description of experimental measurements produced a prototype, the determination of emmisions and efficiency.
Verification of the use of agro pellets for heating
Muzikářová, Věra ; Musilová, Petra (referee) ; Baláš, Marek (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with agropellets and their combustion in terms of emissions and efficiency. It consists of two parts. The first part is theoretical, where the search of available types of biomass, production of agropellets and combustion principle is presented. The second part of the thesis is focused on experimental comparison of efficiency and emission class of boiler for various agropellets.
Solid Particle Emissions from AgroPellets Combustion
Svoboda, Marek ; Milčák, Pavel (referee) ; Lisý, Martin (advisor)
This thesis is divided into two parts. The first part deals with defining the main concepts, properties of biomass and pellets. Further, the procedures for measuring agropellets properties according to valid standards are mentioned. The following is a selection of the raw materials for the production of agropellet, with the determination of their properties. The theoretical part closes background research emissions from combustion and emission standards for a solid fuel boiler. The second part is an experimental one, which determines the formation of solid pollutants in combustion of four types of pellets made from alternative sources. Here are the graphs of the gaseous emissions of each of them. At last there will be a comparison of emissions agro pellets with more widespread wood pellets.
Forming of solid pollutants from biomass
Havlínová, Denisa ; Štelcl, Otakar (referee) ; Baláš, Marek (advisor)
This bachelor‘s thesis is divided into two main parts. The first part is research and deals mainly with biomass and pollutants. In this section, we will find a two-dimensional distribution of biomass, a comparison of fuel forms and a discussion of basic pollutants with a focus on solid pollutants. The second part is experimental. It starts with a fuel laboratory, where the water, ash and heat content of the biofuels examined is determined. The following is an investigation of the dependence of the PM formation on the properties of the biomass, which was measured by the measurement of these PM by the filters in the collecting device, while the examined biofuels were gradually burned on the fireplace insert.
Combustion of Solid Fuel in Unsuitable Boilers
Ondrůj, Jakub ; Milčák, Pavel (referee) ; Lisý, Martin (advisor)
The aim of this work is to investigate the combustion of various solid fuels and experimentally verify the environmental impacts of combustion of selected solid fuels in inappropriate boilers. The first part of the thesis is focused on the determination of solid fuel burning conditions and the second part describes the basic combustion tests, the comparison of the measured emissions during combustion of selected fuels and the comparison of these results with the valid emission limits.
Possibilities of energy exploitation of biomass – direct combustion
Hlaváč, David ; Niedoba, Pavel (referee) ; Jaroš, Michal (advisor)
The thesis deals with general definition of biomass and classifies biomass into groups by origin. The main focus of the thesis is on the conversion of raw biomass into the valuable energy sources and direct combustion of biomass. The conclusion is dedicated to devices designated for biomass combustion and examples of realizations.
Evaluation of technology for the biomass incineration.
Havelková, Pavla ; Máša, Vítězslav (referee) ; Jícha, Jaroslav (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis is interested in description of the biomass and its utilization as a renewable energy source. The text is specified in the production of the biomass and also an overview of the technologies used in its processing and utilization, which is both energy and non-energy. Then, this thesis deals with the description of the various devices, in which the biomass is processed.
Positive and negative impact of biomass combustion on environmental
Adámek, Tomáš ; Baláš, Marek (referee) ; Lisý, Martin (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is specialized research dedicated to the issues of combustion biomass. It presents fundamental problems of process of combustion biomass as well as significant influence of its production to environment. First part of thesis is dedicated to the definition of biomass, division and impact of biomass as fuel to environment. Second part deals with process of combustion and with related pollution.
Influence of gas properties on the IC engine cycle
Ptáček, Martin ; Klimeš, Lubomír (referee) ; Štětina, Josef (advisor)
Properties of gases forming during combustion process in combustion engine influences the engine efficiency and fuel consumption. Harmful substances are formed during combustion, which could be reduced by combustion optimization. The thesis studies the change of gas properties inside combustion engine during temperature changes. The aim of this thesis is description and creation of models describing thermodynamic cycle of spark ignition engine. The First part of thesis explains basic ideal gas properties and principle of spark ignition engines. Second part deals with description of combustion process and substances, which enters and leaves the process. Created theoretical models are compared to each other during conclusion. Achieved results and created models can be used as foundation for creation of complex programs.
