The effect of the clame "superfoods" in consumer behaviour

The master thesis is concerned with the effect of the clame superfood and its impact in consumer behaviour. The aim of this thesis is to find out how consumers perceive the phenomenon of superfoods and how this claim effect their consumer behaviour. The theoretical part of the thesis defines and explains the terminology related to the key term superfoods such as functional foods, superfruits and organic foods. Subsequently the thesis edentifies the rules of a food labeling with the emphasis on health and nutrition-related claims. The thesis then examines the recent development of the superfoods market with its trends either from the local and the global point of view. The theoretical part is ended by the analysis of the methodology The Six Elements of Superfruits Success, which defines the six elements leading to a successful business strategy in a field of superfoods industry. The empirical part of the thesis shows the survey results of the effect of the clame superfoods and organic foods on products and its impact in consumer behaviour in the Czech Republic. The thesis then deals with the case study Jeřáb (a product containing a superfood). The thesis draws up a draft proposal for a new communication strategy of Jeřáb with the emphasis on the fact that Jeřáb is a product containing a superfood.
Organic food on the Czech market

This bachelor thesis is focused on the theme of organic food. The aim of the thesis is to analyze attitudes and consumers buying behavior towards organic food with regard to intergenerational differences. This aim is achieved through a questionnaire survey. In the first chapter, organic food and organic farming are defined and further specified. The second chapter deals with the offer of an organic food at the selling points and determines the demand for organic food. The third chapter evaluates the results of the questionnaire survey.
Supply of organic food in the region of statutory city České Budějovice

This diploma thesis is focused on utilisation of organic foods analysis in eating facilities in the region of statutory city České Budějovice. The surveys in eating facilities are replenished by consumers´ survey which considers customers´ opinions about organic foods utilisation in gastronomy. The partial aim of this thesis is to compare the situation in the Czech Republic with chosen countries in European Union. In the introductory part, there are described basic terms with the help of primary literature which are related to ecological production and eating facilities. The practical chapter is consisted of introduction of concrete eating facilities with organic foods offer and the results of survey between eating facilities with and without organic foods offer and the outcomes from consumers´ survey. In the conclusion, there is appraised the present state and probable future development of organic foods utilisation in gastronomy in the region of city České Budějovice.
Statistical analysis of bio products preferences

The thesis is focused on the evaluation of preferences in organic foods consumption in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part summarizes the insights from the literature concerning the issue. The thesis monitors in detail the production and consumption of organic foods and it maps the market environment. In the practical part were expressed hypotheses which using the questionnaire were confirmed or refuted. They have been also identified preferences of consumer groups of organic foods, which were then analyzed and evaluated. There were performed determinations of prices of selected organic foods in individual retail chains and their subsequent comparison with normal foods.The results of this research may be helpful for new entrants in terms of the market operators to assist them in deciding on which market segment or product to concentrate.
Finalization of organic production on the farm

This thesis deals with the questions of farmers' getting their ecological production on the market, the drawbacks of gaining access on the market, what prevents farms from entering the market, and analysis of development of agriculture on ecological farms in the last ten years. In order to obtain questions to these answers it was necessary to conduct a questionnare survey. In order to compare these results, a method of a questionnaire survey from 2004 was selected focusing on the competitiveness of ecological farms. According to the questionnaire survey, the research was compiled and results of the research were compared with the results of the questionnaire survey compiled ten years ago. The research involved areas of north-western part of the Czech Republic and 45 respondents out of 95 farms participated in this research.
The world organic market and the position of the Czech Republic in this market

The paper analyses the state of the world's bio product market and the Czech Republic's position in the market. It discusses basic bio product market information and its historic roots. The paper examines in detail the production and consumption of bio products, especially bio-eatables in the carefully selected array of sample countries. The section focusing on the Czech Republic demonstrates the structural and consumer development of bio products. Additionally, the Czech market is then compared with the world market and the factors that affect the production and consumption are highlighted. The examination of the raw data from both the world and the Czech market supports the first hypothesis that there is an increasing growth pattern in the bio product market worldwide. Second hypothesis focusing on the demand for bio products in the Czech market was not affirmed after careful scrutiny of the Czech bio product market. With regards to the elevated bio product prices and consumer's distrust in their quality, the bio product demand in the recent years had suffered from a decreasing trend.
Vývoj a význam ekologického zemědělství v Jihomoravském kraji

The objective is to evaluate a development and the importance of the organic agriculture and organic food in South Moravian Region. The identified details were than compared with other regions of the Czech Republic, or the whole country. The South Moravian Region due to its position belongs to the areas with a low proportion of organic areas, but since 2008 there are absolutely the greatest areas of arable land and permanent crops (there are more than 95 % of the total area of vineyards), but the smallest area of permanent grassland. This region produces 85 % of all organic grown vegetables. There is dominated sheep farming, followed by cattle farming.Typical for the South Moravian Region are vineyards and wineries, and therefore an integral part of thesis is the evaluation of wine production, especially organic wine in this region.

Analýza spotřeby biopotravin v ČR

The bachelor thesis defines organic agriculture, including its products and outlines its current status in the Czech Republic and in the world. This work is focused on the organic food consumption analysys, which follows. The current situation of the global and domestic organic food market are stated, further individual continents and countries are compared from the point of view of the consumption level and the position of organic food at the market. The distribution channels for selling organic food are briefly described as well. The work itself includes proposals for marketing events which could contribute to bigger consumer's call for organic food and thus to higher sales volume. The effectiveness of the proposed events was verified by a questionnaire survey and its results were evaluated.
Organic agriculture (regional structural and geographical analysis)

The aim of this thesis is to process and evaluate UZEI (MZe) data for organic agricultural produce and sales of the South Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic in 2011, followed by structural and geographic regional analysis, based on the graphical output (production maps, charts and sales diagrams). Analysis involved also current processing capacity and selected sales formats in the region.
