Public opinion on social security in the Czech Republic and allocation of public funds – November/December 2021

The November and December 2021 survey of the Public Opinion Research Centre included issues related to social policy. It surveyed citizens' views on that how much the individual areas of social policy are secured. At the same time the block of questions included an item, in which citizens had to comment the social policy as a whole. It also examined public preferences concerning allocation of public funds.
Attitudes towards Czech social security system – November/December 2021

In November and December 2021, the Public Opinion Research Centre asked a set of questions related to attitudes of the Czech citizens towards social policy. Questions investigated opinions of the Czech public on the involvement of the state and the citizens themselves to funding the sphere of social policy. Other questions focused on whether the current distribution of responsibilities is divided equally between state and citizens. Finally, we were interested in opinion on the fair distribution of benefits and abuse of the social security system.
Labour market in the European Union

The graduation thesis consists of two parts. The first part deals with the general operation of the labour market and the key principles and factors occurring in this area, such as the subsistence wage or the activities of trade unions. Special attention deserves the issue of unemployment and public employment policy. In the second part, the general information of the previous section is inserted into the framework of a particular economic situation and the evolution of unemployment in the European Union during the last decade. An important role is played by taking various forms of national employment policy and social policy which are dealt with separately. The same attention is paid to the main EU institutions and strategies that seek to eliminate negative phenomena occurring on the European market.
Compliance with EU law in disability policy: Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Hungary

This work analyses compliance of disability policy in the states of Visegrad group, i.e. Czech Republic, Slovak Republic, Poland and Hungary. It examines legislation adopted at the supranational level and their subsequent implementation in the policies of particular national states. It deals with the development of policies for people with disabilities since 1989 with the emphasis on similar historical development in these countries. It describes in detail various national strategies, legal acts and measures adopted, possibilities their enforcement and public attitude towards the issue. The outcome of this study is to compare disability policies in the examined countries while the research shows that in the Czech and Slovak Republic the compliance rate is significantly higher than in Poland and Hungary. Vítkovice in the Era of State-building. The Contribution to Social History

The aim of the diploma thesis called "Vítkovice in the Era of State-Building. The Contribution to Social History" is to describe and analyse social relations and social interactions in Vítkovice in the twenties of the 20th century. It is focused on two main topics which were really important for society in Vítkovice in that period. The thesis consists of two chapters, which are: relation between nations and housing strategy. The dynamics of the society in Vítkovice is determined by the Vítkovice Ironworks. That is reason why company is such important part of the research field. Position of Vítkovice Ironworks was very influential because of connection between the company and the city. Whereas relations between nations were strained because of policy of the company, despite of housing crisis Ironwork's housing strategy helped to unify the society.
Importance of family life and a healthy family-work balance

This bachelor thesis considers the importance of a family and the question of harmonization of family and work life.It defines a family and work as very significant parts of a human life and points at some main attitudes towards the issues of putting family life and work together. Some transformations in terms of the relationship between a family and work in the past are suggested. There are also stated some basic measures of the state, which support a family. This thesis also considers the position of women in the labour market, the competence of the state and employers in the matter of women returning to work after parental leave. The most common methods of taking care of children younger than three years are also shown.There is a conception of Homeworking introduced as an alternative in the matter of harmonization of family and work life.
Large families with children in the Czech Republic

This diploma thesis wants to find out main needs of large families in the Czech Republic. Families with three and more children are minority group for which social and family policy don't have specific measures. These families face to many problems, especially to the lack of financial resources and complicated reconciling of work and care. Situation of families and adjustment of social and family policy in the Czech Republic are compared with large families in France and with French family policy which is aim at reconciling of work and care in last years. Although adjustment of French welfare state is different, the inspiration for Czech system will be defined. Major benefit of this thesis is focusing on large families in the Czech Republic which don't receive social benefits and at least one parent is economically active.
The social work and consultancy for clients making use of system of social benefits

Graduation theses deal with social security system in the Czech republic. Theoretical part describes social policy and their functions, provide supplementary benefits, personality of social workers, their personality, professional and educational requirements. In next thesis deal with clients characteristic and possibility of social consulting. The questionarries of staff engaged in public services are analysed in the empirical part of the thesis. Individual questions are orientation on provided supplementary benefits, their motivation, fairness and provided social consulting and educational influencing.
