Interactions and imobilization of pharmaceuticals in soil systems
Šmerdová, Kateřina ; Krouská, Jitka (referee) ; Klučáková, Martina (advisor)
In these days, most non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), including diclofenac (DK), are considered as environmental contaminants. In this thesis, the sorption and desorption mechanisms of diclofenac in soils with different organic matter content were studied. The pH of the medium and its effect on DK adsorption by Britton – Robinson buffer were also studied. Last but not least, the spontaneous degradation of DK in water under sunshine was observed; depending on similar studies, the photodegradation product has been described. The value of pH and conductivity of all the samples were monitored continuously throughout the experiment. It has been found that the content of soil organic matter has a colossal influence on the drug sorption and desorption. Studied soil with a higher content of organic matter recorded higher adsorption of DK in all monitored koncentration of DK. Different pH values also affected the sorption and desorption of DK. By results, a neutral and alkaline environment supports the adsorption of DK more than an acidic environment. The samples were analyzed by UV-VIS spectrophotometry. Photodegradation of DK in water was successful after 4 months. The degradation product was analyzed by UV-VIS spectrophotometry and FTIR spectrometry. The product of fotodegradation could probably be carbazole derivative.

Map-based Movement Control of Mobile Station in OPNET Modeler Simulation Environment
Jakúbek, Peter ; Skořepa, Michal (referee) ; Hošek, Jiří (advisor)
Diploma thesis focuses on a motion control of a mobile station in the simulation environment OPNET Modeler (OM). The thesis is summarized and described the possibilities of controlling the motion of a wireless mobile station. A significant part concentrates on the motion controlling of the station via an external file containing the path of movement. In this type of governance is a continuous movement of the station. The movement is driven by a simulation engine OM. External files designed for a motion control of the station can be created manually or used to write a data directly from OM to store the random generated routes for later use. For the manual creation of the trajectory is chosen the MATLAB tool that handles pre-created maps in the form of the input image into a form that the output of the tool can be used for motion control station in OM. To automate the process of creation and the subsequent trajectory motion control station is used by her library MATLAB Engine. It allows to call MATLAB functions from the language C/C ++ on which is based OM. For automated process of the movement control of the station is used a direct manipulation with the station position which is an alternative of the motion control station according to a set of the trajectory. The direct manipulation station position provides discrete movement of the station. The user’s created process which uses the discrete trajectory values manage the control.
Simulation of advanced access control functions in wireless networks
Uher, Václav ; Hošek, Jiří (referee) ; Molnár, Karol (advisor)
The work deals with the verification of methods to ensure quality of service and mobili-ty in wireless networks using OPNET Modeler program. It examined the possibility of adjustment the link layer model in order to achieve a better service compared to the model according to IEEE 802.11e and without support implementation of the quality of service. The results of simulations show that quality of service support is one of the key characteristics of wireless network deployment for applications demanding low delay and jitter such as voice services. After modifying the algorithm for calculating the wait-ing times for slow-growing window with specific parameters for the transfer haven’t changed so much that wasn’t worth to enforce it for deployment in the real world. Fur-thermore, it is examined to support mobility and service stations on the network layer. Here I had to tackle the problem in the transition from one network to another. Station, although almost immediately switched from one BSS to the other he, but when examin-ing the chart of received data at the application layer were apparent failures of transmis-sion of orders in a few seconds, which for high-quality voice services is not acceptable time interval. Lowest values were achieved using wireless bridges, the shortest period of failure of income data was 3.5 s. Up to that lack of support for the model of service quality work without problems.
Typical Traffic Accidents of Hazardous Frivers Focusing on the Elderly
Krchová, Zuzana ; Semela, Marek (referee) ; Schmeidler, Karel (advisor)
This diploma thesis focuses on the issue of seniors in transportation and examines the typical causes of traffic accidents caused by the participation of persons of this age category. The theoretical part of the thesis explains the demographic development of the society with regard to the population’s mobility and describes the personality of the person in the transport environment from the traffic psychology point of view focusing on seniors. The empirical part of the thesis focuses on the analysis of traffic accidents with the participation of seniors, defining the causes. It sets out the practical tools that can be used to objectively assess the driver's ability to drive in terms of driver's age and the possibility of reducing the number of traffic accidents caused by the elderly.
attributes of corporeality
Lukešová, Eva ; Bartlová, Milena (referee) ; Gabriel, Michal (advisor)
My thesis titled Attributes of corporeality is a continuation of my thinking on the topic of identity. Now I approach identity as a category, not as an identity that belongs to a particular person. I consider the question of how is identity shaped in a postmodern, globalized world and how is it related to corporeality. My answer is based on the reality I know, on the current state of society. However, the intention of my work is above all to express my idea, which is rather a utopian scenario than anything else.
Motivation for migration of young adults from the Moravian-Silesian region to the capital city of Prague
Němcová, Tereza ; Uherek, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Grygar, Jakub (referee)
The topic of this thesis is the motivation of migration of young adults from the Moravian- Silesian region to the capital city of Prague. With the help of qualitative research, the thesis tries to present the motivation to migrate as an outcome of the current situation in the Moravian- Silesian Region. It is primarily a statement not only about individual decisions, but also about the impact of structural problems, inequalities, and socio-economic differences in Czech society on mobility and on the dynamics of demographic development. Using the examples of individual respondents, the thesis shows a certain specific life path typical for the children of the so-called "Husák children" generation from the Moravian-Silesian region. These life trajectories of the selected individuals are strongly connected with the idea of social success and the culture of migration that individuals adopt from their environment. Motivation to migrate is framed in the paper primarily using push and pull factors. The research is based on a series of in-depth episodic interviews with students and graduates of Prague universities. The main finding of the thesis is the crucial role of opportunities, in the areas of education, employment and the acquisition of social capital in the form of contacts, which functioned as the...

Title: Analysis of Qualitative and Quantitative Characteristics of Pre-match Warm- up in Elite Football Teams. Objectives: The aim of this diploma thesis was to analyze pre-match warm-ups in elite football teams from both qualitative and quantitative perspectives. Methods: The research sample consisted of top European football teams, namely Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Inter Milan, and Manchester City. Data was collected and retrospectively evaluated through video analysis. A total of four pre-match warm-ups were recorded during UEFA Champions League matches. The individual recordings were processed and categorized based on predetermined evaluation criteria. The selected categories were activation exercises, preparatory exercises, game-related exercises, small-sided games, and speed exercises. Evaluation criteria were established for each category, including total exercise time, number of exercises, and average number of repetitions per player. The criteria were compared among the different football teams. Results: The obtained results revealed both common qualitative and quantitative characteristics. Activation exercises emerged as the most numerous and complex category. Based on the recorded durations of the warm-ups, it was evident that the most time was devoted to this category compared to...
Car dependence in Czechia: the example of municipalities with extended power Černošice and Kralovice
Dvořáček, Jan ; Marada, Miroslav (advisor) ; Zevl, Jiří-Jakub (referee)
Car dependence is a problem that has been closely linked to transport and land use planning since the mass spread of motoring in the second half of the 20th century. Excessive or total dependence on the car has many negative impacts, especially environmental and social ones. The aim of the study was to investigate the extent of car dependence in the Czech Republic in selected areas representing typical problem areas (periphery and suburbia), to identify and characterize the most dependent places in them. For this purpose, a network analysis of public transport accessibility carried out using a transport model of pedestrian accessibility in a GIS environment and the calculation of an indicator of car dependence were used. The results show that in the Czech environment in the study areas, the problem is more strongly related to small, mostly without the status of independent municipality rather than suburban neighbourhoods, which are most frequently mentioned in the Anglo-American literature. A very poor situation was also identified in what were formerly purely recreational second homes, but which are now partly permanently inhabited. Key words: car dependence, public transport, mobility, network analysis
