Corporality is Gods gift
Kubeš, Jiří ; Pařízek, Michal (advisor) ; Jandejsek, Petr (referee)
In the following work I try to grasp the theme of body and corporeality as a gift in Christian conception. Thus, in its first chapter, the work itself will go from the basic presentation of the polarity human body and spirit, the sacrament of the body and its conception as a body created according to the image of God. Thus, the reader will be able to look into the sacramental dual unity in man, the unity of the body and the soul that is desired and desired by God, and who is eternal in God. The second chapter, following the introduction of the body as an inseparable part of man, will elaborate the given theme of creation of the body to a greater depth to the conception of the created body as a gift. Here, the compilation offers the reader even greater insight into the mystery of the body through the Christian perception of the gift. The character and purpose of the gift then eventually distributes the work in its third chapter, existing with the consensus of the previous chapters, by approaching human corporeality and body through one single pattern, which is the body of Christ. On Christ's body, labor shows that, following Christ and the Church, coming out of this body, man in his body is called to the same path, that is, the path corresponding to the path of Jesus Christ. Key words Body,...

Individual methods were analysed and possible applications of each of those were described. For a better understanding, each of the methods was accompanied by an example. During the research I realized even more that the issue of gifted children and gifted individuals in general in the Czech Republic is not sorted out adequately. There are still many challenges to solve before talented individuals will be given the space for their education and also the following application at work and in life. Therefore,...
"The wealth of nothingness" - On the (im)possibility of metaphysics in Adorno and Beckett
Schenk, Jan David ; Hartung, Gerald (advisor) ; Sepp, Hans Rainer (referee)
English abstract: "The wealth of nothingness - On the (im)possibility of metaphysics in Adorno and Beckett": The subject of this paper is Theodor W. Adorno's reception of Samuel Beckett and its embedding in his philosophy. Based on an interpretation of Adorno's treatment of the problem of temporality, it is shown that for Adorno Beckett's work both marks the end of time in a bad infinity and at the same time prepares the turn into a fulfilled time. As the opening of a quasi- utopian temporality, it is argued that the engagement with Beckett represents for Adorno as much as the rescue of the possibility of metaphysics and critical theory through its impossibility, moving in the semantics of gift, promise, and gratitude. Keywords: dialectics, temporality, metaphysics, gift, utopia

Charles University Faculty of Humanities Applied Ethics Ethics of Philanthropy Annotation of Doctoral Thesis Mgr. Jan Kroupa Supervised by: prof. PhDr. Jan Sokol, CSc., Ph.D. 2020 ANNOTATION The increase in private wealth in our cultural circuits has been unprecedented which fosters growth in private philanthropy. Charitable giving has been on a rise throughout the western world, including the Czech Republic, where we can document long-term and steady growth in both the number of charitable gifts as well as in the amount donated. In parallel, on the beneficiary side, there is a stabilized sector of well-established civic organizations covering the standard array of charitable topics. We may state that following 1989, the Czech civic sector has been revived, showing - despite all challenges - most signs of healthy maturing. In this paper, we attempted to capture the cultural and social context of philanthropy from the point of view of practical philosophy. We examined the rich roots of philanthropy and described the processes of its institutionalization until now. We paid special attention to describing the current situation of philanthropic giving in the Czech Republic. On basis of the above, we debated some of the dilemmatic questions of today's philanthropy, such as selecting the beneficiary and donor...
