Education and the Social Inequalities Reproduction in the Czech Republic

This bachelor thesis deals with three big theories of reproduction of social inequalities - Pierre Bourdieu, Basil Bernstein and social- psychological model by Duncan and Blau. It explains main terms, which are used by the authors as well as mechanism of reproduction. By compilation of papers in the field it provides situation in education and inequalities in Czech Republic and compares it to the world- known concepts. Inspired by Murphy's refusal to accept automatic change of class disparities into class inequalities a also by in certain way "alternative conceptions", the thesis ends in introduction of following direction considering research of inequalities. It brings forward an opinion that i tis desirable to closely examine the relationship between aspirations of children in less wealthy families and school as a structural factor to learn whereas this mostly affected group regard this issue as a problem.
The Comparison of education system of sign language interpreters in the Czech Republic and in the Netherland

This bachelor thesis focuses on the educational training and background of sign language interpreters in the Czech Republic and the Netherlands. The theoretical part deals with the development of interpreting, presenting the specifics of the political and social events affecting the education of sign language interpreters in the Czech Republic and the Netherlands. It continues by examining the education requirements of sign language interpreters and how these are recognized in the legislation of those states. It aims to inform the reader about the current system of basic education for sign language interpreters, on how to support emerging sign language interpreters, and finally describes the system of lifelong learning sign language interpreters in the Czech Republic and the Netherlands. The research part, aims to establish the level of satisfaction of sign language interpreters with their current system of education. Based on the data from the survey. It proposed possible solution to how to support the education for sign language interpreters in the Czech Republic.
Education policy transfer: case study of Slovakia inspired by Finland

to the thesis Education policy transfer: case study of Slovakia inspired by Finland Abstract Bachelor Thesis Education policy transfer: case study of Slovakia inspired by Finland deals with the case study of the Slovak education system, whose planned reform is inspired by the generally positive perception of the Finnish model. The Slovak Ministry of Education expressed its decision to reform the Slovak education system based on the Finnish one-structure model in the National Education and Training Development Program. This decision can be defined as an attempt to voluntarily transfer education policies. The research is conducted on three levels. First of all, the thesis deals with the motivation of Slovakia to reform its system based on the Finnish model with an emphasis on the role of international rankings in education, especially PISA rankings. The focus of the thesis is a comparative analysis, which aims to thoroughly compare and describe six selected criteria (characteristics - geographical, historical, political; development of education systems, structure of education systems, financing of education, inclusion in education and the position of teachers) related to the transfer of education policy between Finland and Slovakia and their overall context. Comparison of selected European riding schools and riding education system in the Czech Republic

Title of the work: Comparison of selected European riding schools and riding education system in the Czech Republic Work goals: Mention all available riding schools in the Czech Republic, their description and comparison with selected European riding schools Methods: Analysis of literature sources and other available materials, description of individual programs of the mentioned schools, comparison based on the results of the individual schools and the level of their alumni Conclusion: The level of riding education in the Czech Republic is lower than in the compared foreign schools. The selected European schools have much longer tradition and also more elaborate education system. The Czech Republic faces lack of qualified trainers, as well as lack of funds. The success of the riding schools alumni is much higher at the foreign schools than in the Czech Republic, which is caused both by the level of the alumni and more work opportunities abroad.

This diploma thesis deals with the issue of the teaching profession in the period of totalitarianism on a particular territory of the Czech Republic. It deals with the period of 1948-1989 from the point of view of teachers and the school system. The theoretical part will give insight into the school structure, legislation, management and the position of primary school teachers in the given period, in the context of Sedlčany. The research part is based on the testimonies of teachers-witnesses of the time. Data acquisition methods are based on characteristic oral history tools. The effectiveness of training integrated rescue system in the system of continuing professional education and lifelong.

Titul: The effectiveness of training integrated rescue system in the system of continuing professional education and lifelong. Objectives: The goal is within the theoretical level to define, describe and explain the key terms related to the integrated rescue system. Objective of the research is to verify the functionality of the education system of IRS through a questionnaire survey on the effectiveness of education as a tool for feedback on the education system components. Methods: Main method of thesis is quantitative research based on a standardized survey. Research is focused on the current education system and its effectiveness in terms of the integrated rescue system. Research focused on public concerns to determine public opinion on the perception of the individual components of the integrated rescue system. Results: In the questionnaire survey identifying areas that are dysfunctional in terms of efficiency. Based on the results obtained by analyzing questionnaire was developed and designed a model of analytical and synthetic modeling, allowing to create the concept of a single training course of IRS. Term of evolution and its understanding by students of secondary schools and high schools

This thesis deals with the conception of evolutionary topic in schools and textbooks. It introduces education systems and curricular documents of England, Scotland and the Czech Republic. Based on this information an analysis of biology textbooks was made, which was focused on the theme of evolution. The research included 62 textbooks distributed by 27 different publishers. Comparative SWOT analysis of these textbooks has shown that the concept of biology in general is presented differently, what is also reflected in the interpretation of the studies of evolution. The questionnaire research based on those findings was done in the Czech Republic. It is focused on secondary school and high school pupil's knowledge and their personal opinions about this topic. 586 pupils took part in this research. It was found that in the context of evolutionary processes the pupils have problems to use commonly known biological, or evolutionary terms (e.g. adaptation, evolution of the organisms). On the other hand some pupils can easily define some more complicated evolutionary topics such as Neo-Darwinism. Pupils have quite various personal opinions on the issue of the evolution. Comparison of Sign Language Interpreters'Education Systems in the Czech Republic and the Great Britain

The bachelor thesis deals with the comparison of sign language interpreters' education systems in the Czech Republic and Great Britain. The objective is a comparison of possibilities, availability and quality of sign language interpreters' education in said countries. The thesis attempts to evaluate and define the main differences between the systems and subsequent submission of possible changes for the sign language education system in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part briefly describes the basic concepts and terminology in connection to hearing impairment that is relevant for the topic, the specifics of the Czech Sign Language, British Sign Language and International Sign as well as the comparison of sign language interpreters' education in the Czech Republic and Great Britain. The research part is processed by quantitative research, specifically in the form of an anonymous survey and concentrates on the analysis of the current situation through the eyes of the interpreters themselves. The thesis output is an evaluation of the survey together with the submission of proposals for possible modifications of the current czech sign language interpreters' educational system in the Czech Republic.
Analyzing the use of law as a tool for the management of educional systems in Czech Republic and evaluating the impacts of selected legislative changes in years 1990 - 2010

This diploma thesis examines the use of the law as an instrument for the governance of the education system in the Czech Republic. It evaluates the impact some selected changes in legislation had on the education system during the period between 1990 and 2010. The topic of this paper is the law used as an instrument for implementing education policies in the Czech Republic, as well as monitoring of and evaluating objectives and reality. A section in the theoretical part is dedicated to defining and explaining the basic terms the author works with and uses throughout the text. The paper briefly analyses the development of changes within the school system in the course of the first twenty years that followed after the November overthrow in 1989. Key attempts to make changes in education and child-rearing are described, and the amendments to the Education Act or, if applicable, other legislation that impacted on the school system and education are examined. Not only does this paper summarize the key legislative reforms within the education process in the Czech Republic between 1990 and 2010, it also examines the education system from the curriculum documents' point of view - Primary School, General School and National School, the Framework Education Programme - as well as the school governance systems...
