Criminological Aspects of Drug-Related Crime The thesis deals with the topic of criminological aspects of drug-related crime. Due to the breadth of the issue, the work is focused only on the so-called primary drug crime, which is understood as a criminal activity consisting in violating the regulations governing the handling of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances. Specifically, it deals with crime associated with the unauthorized handling of cannabis. The main goal of this work is to answer the question whether the criminal law regulation of unauthorized handling of cannabis chosen by the legislator is appropriate and respects in a reasonable way the specific criminological aspects related to cannabis. The first part focuses on explaining some basic terms that are used in the work. The second part deals with the interpretation of terms that are specifically related to the issue of illicit handling of cannabis. Also it includes the issue of the harmfulness of cannabis use and describes the state and trends of crime associated with cannabis use. Attitudes of oncologists in the Czech Republic to the treatment of cancers with cannabis as a supplement to classical care

Background: Oncology is a vital field in modern medicine due to the high incidence of malignant neoplasms in society today. Cancers and their treatment are often accompanied by a myriad of unpleasant symptoms that make the patient's life miserable. Cannabis has helped treat many diseases for centuries as it contains a number of substances, including well-known cannabidiol (CBD) and psychoactive tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). Cannabis is also often used recreationally and is classed as an addictive drug. However, aside from addiction, it is also ascribed positive therapeutic effects in the treatment of cancer, where it helps alleviate the side effects of treatment or the symptoms of the disease itself. Nevertheless, it is still used sparingly by Czech oncologists. Objectives: The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to map the position of oncologists in the Czech Republic on cannabis and their awareness of the treatment of cancer with cannabis as a supplement to conventional care. Attitudes of high school students towards the use and users of marijuana and alcohol

This thesis deals with the attitudes of students of two secondary schools to marihuana, alcohol use and their users. Attitudes to alcohol, marihuana and to their users are topics frequently discussed in connection with changing perception of these two substances. This trend can be best seen in adolescents during the period of late adolescence which is the period of secondary school studies. The main aim of the thesis is to find out which factors influence the attitudes of students to alcohol and drug use and if there are any differences concerning those factors between the observed schools. These factors come from theoretical considerations which are subsequently tested in research. As the research showed, the students' attitudes to marihuana and alcohol use, and also to alcohol users are primarily influenced by significant others, among which belong mainly peers and their parents or their own experience. While the individuals form their attitudes to alcohol primarily according to their parents, in case of marihuana, the individuals, who have experience with it, follow mainly their peers and their own experience. Effects of long-term use of hemp substances

The thesis was divided into two parts. The first part deals with selected long-term impacts of cannabis use and basic concepts such as history, methods of application, use or legislation. In order to understand the whole issue, the basic components of the cannabis plant and their effects. The main part of the theory was then devoted to the possibilities of social work in the field of addiction, but also health complications and therapeutic effects of cannabis. The first part was built on a professional basis literature that addresses this topic. As the work dealt with a very current topic, the latest HARP treatment program was also mentioned. In the second part of the work semi-structured interviews were performed in order to confirm the theoretical part of the work and bring a certain authenticity to the work. The goal was to offer to the reader comprehensive information about cannabis in one place, clearly and transparently. The negatives and the positives that this plant can cause as a result of use were analyzed.
Estimation of illegal drug consumption in Kazakhstan

Background: The republic of Kazakhstan is located on the "Northern Route" by which opiates are smuggled from Afghanistan to the Russian Federation and further into the European Union. For this reason, the state is under constant high risk of the drugs leaking to the local market, leading to drug abuse and related issues within the population. The drug situation in Kazakhstan is further complicated by the internal factor of the Chuy Valley which features the largest area of wild- growing cannabis in the world. The aim of this thesis is to estimate the consumption of cannabis-derived drugs and heroin in Kazakhstan based on the latest national and international reports and research. In terms of research, the thesis examines which organisations collect statistical information on users of illegal drugs and what methods are used to do so. Methods: the data analysis consisted of a secondary analysis of existing collected data through quantitative descriptive statistics and a qualitative analysis of individual international and national reports. Drug consumption was estimated based on demand. The attitude of Prague high school students towards marijuana

This bachelor thesis examines attitudes of high school students in Prague to marijuana use and also the prevalence of use itself. Despite the highest prevalence of marijuana use in the Czech high schools, compared to other adolescents in Europe, it is not elaborated what differences are within the user group and what are the factors, that influence attitudes to use in Prague. The issue is viewed from the perspective of the theory of social control. The concept of risk behavior is also used. The empirical part is a secondary analysis of ESPAD data and consists of statistical tests of quantitative data.
Effect of cannabis in sports training

Objectives: * Present the physiological and psychological effects of cannabis on human body. * Identify harmful and beneficial effects of cannabis consumption in people who partake in recreational sporting activities as well as competitive athletes. * Identify the perception of cannabis use in the sports world. The attitude of Prague high school students towards marijuana

1 Abstract Author in his thesis examines high school students in Prague in connection with marijuana abuse. Contentedly differences between boys and girls types of high schools, as he also shows why is this interesting. However, author starts with the theoretical part, where he shows to the reader the problematic of marijuana abuse in general by not only defining marijuana and hashish and ways of use but also theory of this problematic. Next, he shortly introduces origins of marijuana as a drug and risks associated with usage. At the end of theoretical part, he shows legislation related to marijuana in Czech Republic. In practical part, he shortly shows methods of analysis, which he is going to use, then uses them and show results. In summary, he suggests use of the results.
The Politics of Marijuana Legalisation in a Comparative Perspective

This work focus on the issue of potential legalisation of marijuana for recreational use in Czech Republic in comparison with different experiences from two, foreign states of the European Union - Netherlands and Spain. The work begins with a description of a historical context of cannabis use that is subsequently followed by historic and actual state of legislation in Czech Republic. The chapter regarding the situation in Czech Republic is furthermore composed of different opinions of relevant political parties, experts and public opinion polls. The second part is addressing the historical process and actual state of legalisation in Netherlands and Spain that is afterwards also accompanied by the opinions of political parties, experts and public opinion polls, which are focused on actual problems considering the specific type of legalisation in both countries. This chapter is followed-up by a comparison of the Spanish and Dutch model of legalisation and by general summarization of different political and expert opinions across the chosen countries accompanied by the information from the public opinion polls.
