The topic of school catering operation is an integral part of the management of nursery schools, primary schools, secondary schools and other school organizations. The provision of school catering services is one of the duties of school managers - that is the reason why is this issue considered as a part of school management. This work is divided into several thematic parts. It the introduction part are explained terms concerning the subject of school catering, then the connection with Czech legislation is explained. Following chapters explain possible advantages of using informational technologies and their benefits for clients as well as for canteen operators. This part also deals with the area of communication, ordering system, inventory, and accountancy. The practical part of this work is focused on given task - to find out to which point, and in which area explicitly the information technologies are used in school catering. Title Selected nutrition aspects of female students at chosen universities in the Czech Republic Abstract The objective of this Bachelor thesis is to focus on specific aspects of selected female university students in the Czech Republic. Initial chapter describes basic life-style facts of this group. Following chapters list and compare youth and adult nutrition habits. General nutrition issues are also presented in this project including family and school nutrition addition to public nutrition analyses. There is also chapter specifying sample of university student, nutrition habits and relevant research. The practical part presents own university student research. The output of this research did not prove any significant fluctuation in female student nutrition at selected universities. The matter of this Thesis is an analyse of the School canteen in Praha 22 and the comparison of the current status and all boarders expectations. The problem is divide into two separate sections: theoretic section, alluded to position and definition of the school canteen in educational system and practical section focused on the canteen users expectations and the contemporary operation of the organization. The main idea of this Thesis is to bring a valuable information about users contentment with canteen operation, observation of their needs and requests for subsequent planning and development of the organization.
The influence of school meals and family on the development of overweight and childhood obesity

Currently childhood obesity has reached epidemiological levels and can be considered one of the world's biggest problems. The probability of an obese child becoming an obese adult is dangerously high. These children are also more likely to develop health risks. The mechanism of development of obesity is conditioned by a number of factors. These are most often genetic factors, whilst their environment also plays a large role. In this case the influence of the family and the preferred lifestyle, which plays a significant part in the development of obesity, may be a factor. Early treatment and detection is important to prevent future issues with weight and serious health risks. However in order for obesity to be treated, it must first be diagnosed, the so-called diagnosis of childhood obesity. School meals in Czech Republic are considered to be one of the most advanced in Europe. It is not about providing a sufficiently strict diet, it also pays attention to variety, balance of dishes and dining culture. School meals must comply with the legislation, comply with financial limits and follow nutritional standards, respectively a consumer basket that sets out the required quantity of ten food commodities per pupil a day and these have to be adhered to within one month. This diploma thesis focuses on problems of food consumption at schools in the Czech republic and on eating habits and nutrition preferences of pupils at primary schools. The practical part of thesis introduces an actual statement of eating habits of older children, their satisfaction with services in school cafeteria and their knowledge about healthy nutrition. The thesis explores if there is any influence on children made by program called Healthy School Cafeteria. I made a research by using questionnaires given to 158 respondents. The research was later used for statistic data processing. Data was collec-ted in six primary schools (3 schools with program Healthy School Cafeteria and 3 schools without the program). The thesis compares results of respondents' answers be-tween these two types of school cafeterias. According to results, eating habits, satis-faction with services in school cafeteria and knowledge in healthy nutrition of respon-dents from two different types of school cafeterias are similar. Also, food consumption at school is the second most influential instrument in education of children´s health, especially their knowledge of proper eating habits.

This thesis focuses on school meal programs, teenage nutrition and related issues. It describes school meal programs in the Czech Republic as well as their history and present situation, presents fundamental legislative requirements and addresses well known nutrition habits of adolescents and possible related health issues. The practical part includes information on quantitative research using questionnaire survey method and assesses representative students nutrition awareness, nutrition habits, and their approach to healthy lifestyle. The results of the survey are evaluated both statistically and verbally and show the differences based on age, gender and area of studies. The work also deals with students attendance and satisfaction with school canteens.

This paper deals with the nutrition of selected population groups associated with eating disorders. It also describes school meals in the Czech Republic, introduces basic legislative requirements for school meals. The practical part of the thesis contains information about the survey by means of the questionnaire survey and evaluates nutritional knowledge, eating habits, predisposition to eating disorders in children from selected elementary schools.
