MARKOVÁ, Jana
Institutions for leisure time activities focused on children and youth are divided into two basic groups in this thesis. First group is represented by educational institutions whose activity is arranged by Act No. 561/2004 Coll., on pre-school, basic, secondary, tertiary and other kind of education (School Act). These institutions concern basic art education, language education and free-time activities. Non-state and non-profit organizations concerning upbringing and education of children and youth in their leisure time belong to the other group. Mostly, they are civil associations whose activity is arranged by Act No 83/1990 Coll. on gathering of citizens. The aim of this thesis is to describe the problems of institutions of free time activities in short and then bring information on particular organizations functioning in regions Český Krumlov and Prachatice. For this purpose the database of subjects functioning in these regions was created. From them, twenty organizations were chosen, investigated and described more detailed. Because of the aim, the method of qualitative research was used, to be specific, the technique of interview and technique of documents analysis were chosen. Recognized information is divided into six spheres, e.g. legal norm, financing, membership, focused activity, presentation for the public, staff and material funding. According to acquired information from these thematic spheres, separate institutions are compared and their common characteristics or the specifics of single respondents are checked. This work is established for everybody who wants to acquire basic information on free time institutions and know more about some of these organizations.

The Lifestyle of a Person with a Disability
KOSTLIVÁ, Hana
This thesis, titled "The Lifestyle of a Person with a Disability" deals with the quality of life and aims to map out possible differences in the subjective perception of quality of life of visually impaired individuals and individuals without this disorder. Visual impairment brings many difficulties in various areas of life. The most serious ones include learning about the outside world, manipulating objects, movement in space, but also reduced opportunities for employment, and social isolation. Each person, however, presents the concept of quality of life a different way based on the differences in values and needs that a person recognizes. The theoretical part is concerned with visual impairment terminology, the anatomy and physiology of the organs of sight, and the types of visual impairments. I describe the characteristics of individual groups of visually impaired persons, their opportunities to get a job and I mention the possibilities of using assistive devices. Finally, I mention the quality of life of persons with the impairment mentioned above. In the practical part of the thesis, I tried to find out, using the method of questioning, how people with visual impairment and those without this disorder perceive their quality of life, health and other areas of life. A sub-objective was to compare the quality of life of these two observed groups. With the information obtained from both the visually impaired persons and from persons without visual impairment, I could focus on possible changes in the opinions of these two observed groups and perform a comparative analysis of the data collection. The research was carried out in Blatná, in Strakonice, in České Budějovice, and in Prague. To obtain information, I chose the technique of questionnaires, i.e. a quantitative research. One research set was compiled from 31 respondents with no visual impairment, i.e. 56.0 %, and the other set consisted of 24 respondents with a visual impairment, i.e. 44.0 %. The research results were processed in the graphs. Based on the research, I found that there is no difference between the quality of life of visually impaired people and the quality of life of individuals without this disorder. Satisfaction in specific areas of life, i.e. health, relationships, leisure, social, professional and financial, does not differ between the groups. It was shown that the respondents are most satisfied with leisure time and relationships, while dissatisfied with health and finances.

Statistics from the Vysočina region and the Region of South Bohemia are complementary information. Rybová, Drahomíra ; Lebeda, Tomáš (advisor) ; Jüptner, Petr (referee)
There was a record-breaking gain of seats that was based on preference votes in the 2010 election to the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic. The aim of my diploma thesis is to determine whether the reason for the above was a more active and effective utilization of the voters' preference votes, or it was a result of the different rules for the preferential voting. The clarification of the reasons is based on the analyses of the quantity of used preference votes from the voters' side, their active participation, and the ability to accumulate votes for several selected candidates. The thesis compares the results of the last election and elections in 2002 and 2006 and explores the differences that had happened in the course of these three elections. The thesis is also focused on models of voting behavior. It monitors which characteristics represent the voters who give the preference votes, and on the contrary, which candidates' characteristics are important for these voters and which are irrelevant.
