Tato práce se snažila poukázat na odlišné vztahy k pohraničím oblastem v prostředí USA a Mexika, na vývoj hraniční linie obou států a na omyly a nedůslednosti centrálních orgánů mladého mexického státu, vedoucí k postupnému odcizení a definitivní separaci jeho severního pohraničního území. Na příkladu Texasu bylo demonstrováno stupňování požadavků již tak privilegovaných severoamerických osadníků a vedle toho i nešťastný pokus ústředních mexických orgánů o pacifikaci tohoto procesu vojenskou silou, jenž vedl ke spojení většiny texaského obyvatelstva ve společném odporu. Příklad Nového Mexika a zvláště Kalifornie zase nastínil úspěšnější pokusy ústředních orgánů o pacifikaci separatistického hnutí, jejichž výsledky však zanikly ve víru mexicko - americké války.

Hypoxia of the brain as well as the subsequent reperfusion can seriously alter the tissue microenvironment and result of the functional and structural changes of nerve and glial cells. Results of experimental studies show that some ions (e.g. Mg2+) can interfere with the brain development. To answer the question whether magnesium can modulate changes of neuronal circuits induced by hypoxia and reperfusion effect of magnesium administration on the density of nitrergic neurons (NO synthesising neurons) in the rats exposed to repeated hypoxia during the postnatal ontogeny (12, 25, and 35-day-old) was studied. NO synthesising neurons were identified according to the presence of NADPH-diaphorase (NADPH-d), the enzyme co-localized with NO synthase. Results have shown that the long-lasting intermittent hypobaric hypoxia brings about the increase of the density of NADPH-diaphorase positive neurons in all studied regions of the hippocampus in 12-day-old animals, in 25-day-old only in the hilus of the dentate gyrus, and in 35-day-old in CA1, CA3 hippocampal regions and in the ventral blade of the dentate gyrus. Contrary to that, decreased density of nitrergic neurons was found in groups of animals exposed to hypoxia till the age of 25 days in both blades of the dentate gyrus and in 35 days in the ventral blade and...

Multifunctional house in Karlovy Vary

The project solves a multifunctional Duma building in a vacant lot, contemplated the construction site is located in Carlsbad, in the street Vyhlíce. This is a protected site spa. Part of the project's layout and structural design of the house. It is a six-storey house with an attic and a basement floor. It is designed as a free-standing in the gap as the final house. The layout is divided into two complete units with their own input. There are spaces for business and residential units for permanent housing. Part of the living area are also room house equipment. Inputs to both parts are wheelchair accessible. The house is not wheelchair The house is designed as a brick building of brick masonry Porotherm the module dimensions of 250 (125) mm with reinforced concrete ceilings. Roofed by a hipped roof. The house is located on a private plot of 519 m2 built-up area of 221 m2. The land is gently sloping. The main orientation of the building to the cardinal's east and west. The south wall is adjacent to the neighboring house.

Steel structure of a business centre

The diploma thesis elaborates on the proposal of a loadbearing steel structure of a shopping centre. Four-storey building has total lenght of 88 m, width 48 m and its base structural grid is 8 x 8 m. The total height of building is 25,4 m. First three floors above ground are designed with structural height of 5,6 m whilst the 4TH floor uses height of 4,0 m. Frame structure is formed by primary beams and castellated secondary beams. Above 4TH floor, the roof structure is designed in two alternative versions, both using solid purlins and truss girder. The 3D computer animation of the building is also part of thesis. The shopping centre that is subject of the final thesis is located in Brno area.

The master's thesis deals with analysis of current solution of car tracking system on Faculty of Science at South Bohemia University and new solution proposal of this system and its implementation and comparison of this solutions. One part of the thesis is proposal of comparison methodology and an experiment with the goal of gaining data from comparison of both implementation. Furthermore, to evaluate results of these comparison and to create conclusion.

The media reflection of the Czech pavilion at EXPO 2015 in Czech and Italian press

The diploma thesis is focused on the media reflection of the Czech pavilion from the recent EXPO in Czech and Italian print. The research sample comprised of 12 daily newspapers (Hospodářské noviny, Lidové noviny, Mladá fronta DNES, Právo, E15, Deník, Corriere della Sera, la Repubblica, La Stampa, Il Giornale, Il Messaggero, Il Sole 24 Ore) that were monitored from 1. 3. 2015 until 30. 11. 2015. Firstly, the content analysis of 137 articles was performed on the individual level for both states. Subsequently, the media reflections in Czech and Italian print were compared to each other. The research found out for both countries that the highest number of media outputs was in May and that one particular journal was dominant in each country. On the contrary, the primary differentiation point was the extent of interest of the media outcomes. As the focus range of the articles differed (the Czech pavilion only in contrast to multiple national pavilions), other distinctions imply, such as the main subject of the articles or the most accented news values.

Construction of Czech national identity in Czech print media : a qualitative analysis of Mladá fronta/MF Dnes and Rudé právo daily newspaper in the years 1989 and 1992

The bachelor thesis "Construction of Czech national identity in Czech print media: a qualitative analysis of Mladá fronta/Mladá fronta DNES and Rudé právo daily newspapers in the years 1989 and 1992" deals with the media constructing of Czech national identity in the content of Czech print media. The selected newspapers are in 1989 Rudé Právo and Mladá fronta and in 1992 Rudé Právo and Mladá fronta DNES. The periods under examination are the same for both years - from 17th November until 31st December. The qualitative analysis of the content is used for the study of the construction. The analysis is conceived as an interpretative study of the text. The study analyzes and interprets the found constructions. It examines what identity and character and which traditions and attributes are given to the Czech nation by selected newspapers. The thesis notices differences between both newspapers and distinctions which happened between 1989 and 1992. The analytical part of the work is complemented by the theoretical part and the methodology. The methodology describes the technique of the analytical work. The theoretical part includes description of the period situation, the media situation of the era and definition of the concepts of national identity, media construction and social construction of reality. Lease reporting according to IFRS

In the final thesis I deal with problems of lease reporting according to effective framework of International Financing and Reporting Standards. In the thesis, which is divided into theoretical and practical part, I focus on impacts of leasing transactions primarily on the lessee side. In the theoretical part of thesis that is divided into three subchapters I summarize facts about leasing. The first two subchapters are based on standard IAS 17. I devote the third subchapter to preparation of new standard, which should replace IAS 17. The aim of the practical part of the thesis is to find out which way the European airlines use to finance their aircraft, I focus especially on using of both types of leasing. Therefore in the second part of the thesis I analyze annual reports of European aircrafts and examine how much these airlines exploit the possibility to finance the aircraft by leasing and how they report it in their annual reports.

Economic assessment of the financing possibilities of the company cars for the selected company

This thesis covers the topic of loan and lease financing. Its basis is the economic assessment of the selected financing options. The attention is first paid to the principle of leasing and credit, the historical development of both forms of financing and the current situation in the leasing market in the Czech Republic. In the Theoretical solutions part of the thesis the pros and cons of leasing and credit financing are being discussed. This section is concluded with a chapter about Czech Leasing and Financial Association.
The analytical part of the thesis evaluates the selected financing trends. It introduces Robert Bosch odbytova s.r.o. company, which is characterized as a lessee of the leased asset or as a company interested in a loan. Furthermore, this part refers to Skoda Auto a.s. and Hyundai Motor Czech s.r.o., companies which supplied configuration for Skoda Octavia and Hyundai i30. The aim is to compare leasing and credit as funding sources. The conclusion summarizes and evaluates the obtained results and gives recommendations for the effective financing for the company Robert Bosch odbytova s.r.o.

Visualization Support in Sefl-Service Business Intelligence Tools - a SAS Visual Analytics and IBM Cognos Analytics Comparison

The thesis deals with problematics of tools marked as Self Service Business Intelligence (SSBI) which is paid close attention by its users as well as producers due to expected progressive growth of this trend. Two products are evaluated: SAS Visual Analytics and IBM Cognos Analytics, both tools are evaluated by their extent of user´s autonomy and support of data visualization. Basic principles and concepts connected to the area of business intelligence are defined in theoretical part of the thesis. The problematics of data visualization is introduced and trend of self-service business intelligence is discussed with analyzing its benefits as well as restrictions. Technological factors which helped to fast development of SSBI are mentioned as well. A methodology has been created within practical part of the thesis. It is enforceable for any other tool from the family of SSBI and it is possible to assess the extent of support within observed categories through this methodology: Using information, Creation of information, Creation of sources and Visualization. A set of criteria on basis of which the evaluator can create evaluation form corresponding to his/her needs was defined for each of the stated categories. Usability of the methodology is illustratively demonstrated at mutual comparison of chosen modules of both tools while those parts are sufficiently described before the evaluation itself.
