Headmaster's competency at secondary technical schools with technical focus

The diploma thesis deals with the current topic of headmaster's competence at secondary vocational schools, technically oriented. The thesis is based on the general theory of competencies and competency models. It aims to identify the headmaster's competencies at the technical vocational school in Prague and based on these findings create the competence model. On the basis of the literature search, a research was carried out, its purpose was to find out what competences the those people possess, i.e. to identify these competencies and to compile a competence model. The questionnaire survey technique was used as the first, data collection technique. Within the questionnaire survey, all headmasters and deputy headmasters were approached at 15 secondary technical schools in Prague. The third group of respondents was consisted of the founder of these schools. Through the questionnaire survey, we determined the importance of individual competencies. The second used technique was a semi-structured interview with selected representatives of respondent groups (headmasters and deputy headmasters). The interview was used to verify observable formulations that are part of the competency model. This diploma thesis focuses on the process of civic and political socialization of adolescents in the context of the reflexion of current political topics in the lessons of civic educational basis on secondary technical schools in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part of the thesis contains the explanation of basic terms regarding the chosen topic. It is then followed by an analysis of curricular documents of secondary technical education in the Czech Republic on the national level, from the point of view of the possibilities of the inclusion of current political topics into the teaching lessons. After the theoretical consolidation of the topic, a practical part of the thesis follows, which consists of a case study. This study aims to describe (with the help of the methods of mixed research) the reflexion of current political topics in the Civics lessons on a chosen secondary technical school, for example regarding the teaching methods, also the frequency and intensity of including the topics into the lessons, or expression of personal opinions of the teachers on current political topics. Through the realisation and evaluation of a questionnaire survey is at first found out the perception of teaching about current political topics, as the pupils of the chosen secondary technical school perceive it. Then is through the realisation of half-structured interviews with the teachers and the following analysis in the whole context found out also their position towards teaching about these topics. The ending part of the thesis then includes the conclusion of all important and interesting findings the study brought, evaluation of reaching the goals which were set for the research, recommendation for the pedagogical praxis and also a reflexion on the use of the findings on an own future praxis.
Primary Prevention of Risky Behaviour at High Schools with Graduation in the District of České Budějovice

This bachelor thesis deals with the topic of primary prevention of risk behaviour at secondary schools in the region České Budějovice. It is divided into theoretical and practical part. The first aim of this bachelor thesis was to find out and describe which types of prevention programmes are realised in the field of risk behaviour prevention on chosen secondary schools in the region České Budějovice. Other aim was to describe which strategies do the chosen secondary schools in the region České Budějovice apply when solving the presence of risk behaviour. For data gathering I chose the qualitative type of research, which took place by means of interviewing, in the form of semi-structured interview. Within the research, I asked eleven secondary schools in the region České Budějovice, ten of them were willing to cooperate. After an agreement with schools methodologists or other people in charge of securing the prevention, I realised the interviews, which took place with the aforementioned people, in the school premises. The results of the research show that within the prevention, all included schools abide by methodical instructions from the Ministry of education, youth and sports. The prevention is most often secured by means of lectures, discussions, adaptation courses and experience programmes. Among the most often occurring strategies in the case of presence of risk behaviour is firstly informing the parents, then also talking to the student at risk. In the case of occurrence of particular risk behaviour, the schools try to focus their prevention on this particular problematic. The bachelor thesis can serve as a background for the school prevention methodologists, pedagogues, social workers and all others, who deal with the problematic of risk behaviour at secondary schools, it can also serve with their findings to create Minimal prevention programme.
Project education and the possibility and applying to culinary school

This bachelor thesis deals with project teaching and its usage at the secondary gastronomy school. It is divided into two parts, theoretical and empirical. In the theoretical part, the issue of activation methods at secondary vocational scho-ols is elaborated on the basis of professional literature and there is also a summary of finding of the lessons on project teaching. The empirical part deals with the creation and realization of a teaching project focu-sed on the issue, which corresponds to the character of the given school. The output is a methodology which will allow to use the processed project in other specialized schools.

Application of Graduates Vocational Schools with Final Exam in Prague on Labor Market

In this thesis I am looking into how absolvents of vocational schools with final exam enter labor market in Prague. I'm focusing primarily on exploring postures and expectations of the absolvents along with their consequent experience on labor market. For better look on the subject I made a semi-structured interview with four absolvents. Then I acquired data from another 56 absolvents by using a form. Then I analyzed and interpreted the data. By this research I concluded, that absolvents mostly enter vocational school with inadequate awareness of a field they chose to study, which is making them disappointed. For that reason, majority of the absolvents don't want to and later even don't find use in the graduated discipline. As a strategy for finding a job, majority of them choose internet sites and help from friends, while labor office is used just as a tool for paying social and medical insurance. Moreover, from the results is clear, that almost every absolvent applies initially in secondary sector of labor market and its first job leaves mostly in a short time. The benefits of professional practice for students of secondary schools

This study deals with an analysis of the contribution of a work-study practice for secondary vocational school students, especially in the area of social studies. It describes various forms of work-study practice at four high schools and evaluates the students' opinions regarding the value of work-study programs and their connection to classroom theory. The study seeks outputs for increasing the value of work-study programs so that the students would receive most practical expertise to work in their future occupations. It also brings arguments defending the continuation of the work-study programs in the secondary vocational school curriculae.
Crime prevention at secondary vocational school

The bachelor thesis focuses on hazardous behaviour of adolescentsand crime prevention at vocational school. Theoretical part explains concepts related to adolescence, describes causes and exanples of juvenile crime and clarifies types of crime prevention. Empirical part of the thesis contains basic information on Secondary Vocantional School of Energy in Chomutov. Further, a quantitative questionnaire survey, conducted at the mentioned school, is processed an evaulated. On the basis of results of the survey recommendations leading to improve the crime prevention are suggested in the conclusion.
