Datalogger with Ethernet
Orávik, Tomáš ; Arm, Jakub (referee) ; Bradáč, Zdeněk (advisor)
Thesis deals with Datalogger with Ethernet interface controlled by Raspberry Pi 2. Datalogger is equipped with eight digital inputs and three analogue inputs. It allows storage of measured data into the database on the microSD card. It communicates over an Ethernet interface on the Raspberry Pi. The administration and control of the datalogger is possible trought a web server.
Design and realization of the measuring amplifier of mechanical quantities
Kaplan, Tomáš ; Chalupa, Jan (referee) ; Krejčí, Petr (advisor)
Subject of this effort is development and realization of one-channel data acquisition unit of mechanical quantities and it’s PC software application. Usage of this data acquisition unit is aimed on applications, where resistive strain gages wired as Wheatstone bridge with AC excitation are used. Output voltage of Wheatstone bridge is amplięed, demodulated with excitation voltage, filtered and level shifted for analog to digital conversion via AD converter. Converted digital data are sent via serial bus into microprocessor which sends them into PC for further meaningful representation in software application. Besides sensing bridge output voltage, data acquisition unit also generates AC excitation of Wheatstone bridge. This excitation voltage is generated via DA converter which communicates with microprocessor and converts incoming digital data into analog sine waveform. There is precise voltage reference circuitry for both of these converters. PC application’s task is to visualize measured data in meaningful form and to give tools for further work with measured data. It’s programmed in Python language and it has one independent thread which does reading and computing of incoming data and there is also class which builds graphical user interface and plots measured data into live graph.
Doppler's sensor beat freqeuncy proccessing
Dušek, Martin ; Macho, Miloslav (referee) ; Fuchs, Michal (advisor)
This work is engaged in ways of objects speed measuring mainly helped by Doppler Effect. The sensor HB410 is described in this work and its possible elaboration output heterodyne analog signal. The calculation of objects speed is deduced from frequency of heterodyne signal. In this work is projected circuit solution for elaboration of analog signal and its digitalization. Available types and nature of microcontrollers which are elaborating digital signal and communicating with PC are summarized in this work. In the last chapter is described microcontroller's driving software and PC software for speed measure.
Digital AM / FM transmitter
Kováč, Marek ; Strašil, Ivo (referee) ; Pavelka, Ondřej (advisor)
This master thesis is focused on the theoretical description and practical implementation of software defined transmitter. The main aim of this thesis was made the prototype of software defined transmitter in FM band. Theoretical part is determined to description of basic parts of equipment and working principles to understand the basic principle of digital transmitters and define the appropriate component base for construction. Discussed are used types of A/D and D/A converters, blocks of digital signal processing and the roles, which these components performs. The second part is focused practical. Specified are suitable types of components and block diagram is proposed for following electrical connection and printed circuit board in Eagle program as a plug-in modul for developmental platform Arduino. The main point is program, which sets and controls the transmitter. Next important part is impedance match and antenna tuning, which is explain in practical part of thesis. The result is prototype of software defined transmitter compatible with Arduino Uno platform.
Design of a SAR AD converter with switched capacitors
Sysel, Jan ; Kledrowetz, Vilém (referee) ; Prokop, Roman (advisor)
This work deals with the design of analog to digital converter with a successive approximation register for automotive industry with the range of operating temperatures from -40 °C to 175 °C and with the use of DAC with switched capacitors between interconnect metal tracks in an integrated circuit to minimize converter area. Theoretical part deals with the basic theory of analog to digital converters, principle of converter with a successive approximation register with the utilization of capacitive DAC. Then with the design of capacitors for the DAC in an integrated circuit made of metal layers and vias and their layout to minimize parasitic capacities. In the practical part is made the theoretical design of the converter on block level. Then is done the design of a capacitor for this DAC and layout of the whole DAC is made. On the transistor level are designed and verified blocks required for realization of this converter: circuit of voltage follower, operational amplifier, comparator and switches. Inside the converter the self-test circuit is implemented for measurement of its own nonlinearity. In the work the functionality of the converter is verified as a whole.
Automatic monitoring of fluid density
Bebej, Rastislav ; Chalupa, Jan (referee) ; Krejčí, Petr (advisor)
This thesis focuses on creating a device capable of monitoring the density of liquids during the fermentation process. The thesis includes the selection of a suitable principle for the measurement of the density of liquids, including the temperature compensation, the selection of suitable components and the design of schematics. Furthermore, the thesis deals with the design of a printed circuit board and wireless data transmission to a computer via Wi-Fi.
Design and fabrication of the multimeter
Daněk, Martin ; Levek, Vladimír (referee) ; Háze, Jiří (advisor)
The goal of this thesis is to design and build a multimeter. Firstly, multimeters, their history and basic parameters are described, followed by an analysis of existing solutions with a similar topic. Next, theory of measurement of basic electrical quantities is described and the first prototype is proposed. Finally, the first prototype is evaluated, necessary adjustments applied, and the final prototype is proposed and evaluated.
Testing Device For Optical Transfer Of The Sound
Zimniok, David
This paper deals with the design of an audio tester, focused on the conversion from an analogue signal to the digital signal going through Toslink cable. My design use ARM microcontroller, which generates the harmonic audio signal. This signal will go through a connected AD converter. The circuit receives this signal and microcontroller do FFT analysis. After testing frequencies among 20Hz and 20.000Hz, microcontroller puts all results of FFT analysis to one plot, represented by points. These points are sent by serial line to the computer.
Samples of examples for configurable gate array
Bajer, Jan ; Spáčil, Tomáš (referee) ; Bastl, Michal (advisor)
This thesis introduces the issue of configurable gate arrays and their position with respect to microprocessor technology. The aim is to present work with gate arrays on a set of basic realizations within the field of mechatronics. The examples are processed using VHDL and they are primarily intended for Altera / Intel devices.
Design Of A Sigma Delta Ad Converter For Sensor Applications
Pěček, Lukáš
This paper presents the design of an AD converter for a sensor application of junction temperature measurement in the demanding automotive environment. A modified continuous time current mode first order single bit ΣΔ modulator structure was designed in ONC18/I4T technology. Its advantage lies in shifting and extending an input voltage range to work with signals from 0 V to 1.2 V with a high impedance input, low hardware complexity and low power consumption.
