Identification of microorganisms in cosmetic products with probiotics
Langová, Denisa ; Španová, Alena (referee) ; Trachtová, Štěpánka (advisor)
Probiotics products are an integral part of the current market. Products containing probiotics cultures are also cosmetic products. The first part of the study focuses on testing of bacterial survival abilities in the environment of preservatives presented in cosmetic products. Collection strains of genus Lactobacillus were used for these tests. Another part of the study focuses on isolation of bacterial DNA from probiotic cosmetic products Ryor, Yoghurt of Bulgaria, FeminaMed and Lactovit Activit in PCR-ready quality. DNA was isolated by fenol extraction and with magnetic particles. Presence of bacteria was proved by genus and species specific PCRs Lactobacillus. Species specific PCR for identification of Lactobacillus pentosus was optimalized. Species identification was in accord with data declared by producers.

Adaptation of transsexuals after sex reassignment
Bartas, Bert ; Morgensternová, Monika (referee) ; Weiss, Petr (advisor)
The aim of this study was to examine the adaptation of transsexual patients, both Female-to-Male and Male-to-Female after the sex reassignment surgery and during the whole therapeutical process from the moment they asked for the sex change. A series of three questionnaires designed for this special purpose was distributed among the patients who underwent sexual reassignment surgery during a decade 1997 - 2006. It was filled out by 71 respondents in total, 52 FtM and 19 MtF. We extracted the questions relevant to the topic, i.e. adaptation to the new body scheme, to the (formally) new sexual identity, satisfaction or regret, presence of psychopathology, adaptation in personal life, sexual life, in family, in the social environment, in occupation and analyzed them. Additionally we made some descriptive statistic of the examined population. We found out, that the satisfaction rate is extremely high, as well as the adaptation to their new body scheme and formally new sexual identity. We observed also good adaptation in personal life, in dyadic relationships, in sexual life, family and social environment. However we had also to admit that there was a difference between the two subgroups - especially in dyadic relationships, in sexual life and in social environment the MtF transsexuals were doing worse. Interaction of Tensides and Dyes in Solutions I
Belatková, Petra ; Kubíček, Vladimír (advisor) ; Lázníčková, Alice (referee)
This diploma thesis deals with study of interactions between organic dye phenol red and tensides cetyltrimethylamoniumbromide and benzethoniumchloride with using extraction photometry, UV-VIS spectrofotometry and fluorimetry. There were detected changes in spectra of phenol red in presence of both used surfactants, which were ascribed to a formation of premicellar aggregates as a consequence of significant interactions between the dye and the tensides.

Fracture behaviour and toughness of materials on isotactic polypropylene base
Elisek, P. ; Raab, Miroslav ; Molliková, E. ; Lapčík, L.
Fracture toughness and dynamic modulus of elasticity have been evaluated as a function of temperature for injection-moulded bars of four polypropylene-derived materials. The presence of solid inclusions or dispersed rubber caused marked shifts of the brittle temperature.

Ekonomika organizovaného zločinu: Přímé zahraniční investice v Latinské Americe a Karibiku
Tošovský, Štěpán ; Klosová, Anna (advisor) ; Jackson, Ian (referee)
This paper attempts to investigate the degree to which organized crime affects FDI in 15 Latin America and Caribbean countries during 2006-2014 period. We employed four crime proxies: homicide rate, organized crime index, business cost of terrorism index and business cost of crime index and analyzed their impact on overall, sectoral and industrial FDI inflows. We find evidence of a deterrent effect of organized crime on FDI inflows; in particular on FDI in secondary and tertiary sectors. On the contrary FDI inflows in more extractive industries - primary sector - are less affected by the presence of organized crime

Teambuilding in selected organisation
Havránková, Markéta ; Urbancová, Hana (advisor) ; Fajčíková, Adéla (referee)
In most operating companies, assignments are becoming increasingly demanding. This trend is gradually leading to the importance of teamwork. Managers who are fully aware of the complexity of this sort of interaction, are now focusing on developing their team and nurturing the relationships between individual members. The aim of this thesis is to evaluate the team-building activities at Red Bull, to identify present flaws and to suggest effective solutions. A thorough analysis of literary sources serves as a solid theoretical basis while the quantitative and qualitative research deliver practical results. The questionnaire method and an interview with an employee of the company's human resources department were also conducted. The main findings indicate that Red Bull's team-building program is mostly effective. Activities are organized in a broad range of focus and most employees perceive them as effective entertainment that supports the team spirit. The main recommendation is to improve the way team-building is communicated from the managers to their subordinates. The second recommendation is to train managers in developing effective team-building programs.

IR thermometer with automatic emissivity correction
Dobesch, Aleš ; Tannenberg, Milan (referee) ; Poliak, Juraj (advisor)
Diploma thesis deals with basic physical quantities and laws relating to non-contact temperature measurement and emissivity determination of solids. It describes the design and implementation of the IR (Infra-Red) thermometer often missed with automatic emissivity correction. The first chapter explains the concept of temperature and basic principles of temperature measuring . The second chapter focuses on the history and theory of non-contact temperature measurement. Gradually are explained the concepts related to non-contact temperature measurement and the problem of determining the emissivity of the body. Next third chapter describes the proposed hardware solution of IR thermometer. The fourth chapter describes a software written for the IR thermometer. The fifth and last chapter summarizes the findings and knowledge from the implementation of non-contact thermometer and measuring emissivity.

Environmental aspects of steam-gas power station Červený Mlýn
Šilar, Martin ; Kulichová, Lucie (referee) ; Matoušek, Antonín (advisor)
The master’s thesis deals with the environmental aspects of combined heat and power station Červený Mlýn (Red Mill). The introductory part of the thesis focuses on the current production technology and the electricity balance of the power station. The heat and power station (also called combined cycle heat and power plant) is scrutinized in terms of emissions sources, focusing on pollutant emissions to air in the following chapter. In this part of the thesis the quantities of the released emissions, namely solid particulate matter (TZL), sulfur dioxide (SO2), carbon dioxide (CO2) are also calculated. The calculation is worked out according to the valid Czech legislation. Further on, the current production technology of the power station is compared with the best available technologies according to the valid directive 2008/1/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council concerning integrated pollution prevention and control. The last chapter presents the innovative technologies which could possibly be installed to reduce pollution emissions (especially nitrogen oxides - NOx) to air at the heat and power station Červený Mlýn.

The reaction of ammonium bisulfate
Sedlák, Filip ; Bartoníčková, Eva (referee) ; Opravil, Tomáš (advisor)
This thesis studies reactions of amonium hydrogen sulfate. It studies chemical and physical properties of this not very examined compound. It deals with description of chemical reactions of thist compound. This thesis studies selected chemical reactions and describes its products. Object of this thesis is to find such reaction of ammonium hydrogensulfate that leads to stable product which would not leak ammonia in alkaline environment based on real experiments. Presence of ammonium hydrogen sulfate in solid residues of coal combustion is a result of inauguration denitrification technologies. A great percentage of fly ashes is used today in buildin industry for production of concrete. Fly ash containing ammonium hydrogen sulfate is unusable for this application, that is why searching for new solution to this incurred situation is needed.

Infuence of eardrum position on sound transmission
Krbálek, Jaroslav ; Dušek, Daniel (referee) ; Pellant, Karel (advisor)
The human eardrum is inclined at an angle of 50 ° t o the axis of external auditory canal. The main objective of this thesis was to determine the impact of the inclination on sound transmission characteristics of external ear canal. It was observed influence of the various features of the eardrum and of the malleus weight on calculated transmission characteristics. Simple finite element model (FEM model) was created in the ANSYS program. The acoustic subsystem of the outer ear tube, elastic eardrum and solid malleus were created. The external ear canal model was modeled as one sided open cylinder which was terminated diagonally bedded with eardrum. In addition to the impact of the eardrum inclination, the influence of the eardrum elasticity and the weight of malleus on the sound transmission characteristics of external ear canal was also monitored. The eventual presence of the coincidence effect was also studied.
