Options of parent education for children and teens in school

The diploma thesis deals with parent education at school at theoretical part. Its aim is to provide the necessary methodological ideas and principles which can promote better preparation for teachers of primary and lower secondary schools to implement parent education. The present work highlights the importance of family upbringing for the child's personality, the majority of the current instability in Czech families and the history of problematic areas and deficiencies in preparing children and adolescents for their future role as a father and a mother. The theoretical part is completed by defining the necessary requirements for teacher personality which dedicated to teaching about family and parenthood at the school. At the empirical part, there is a questionnaire to a sample probe 72 Czech teachers of first and second degree qualified to teach elementary science, health education, civic education (education for citizenship), family education, personal and social education, respectively other objects within which pay attention to family and parenthood. It was concluded that the attitudes of teachers to teach these topics in the choice proved to be rather positive. Physical punishment in child upbringing

The aim of this thesis is to form a comprehensive view on the discussed issue, explaining the suitability or unsuitability of corporal punishment in a given situation. Describe the role of the family in the upbringing of children, the effects of corporal punishment on children, corporal punishment in connection with CAN syndrome and corporal punishment from the perspective of children. The thesis will include a practical component. It is written in a more critical reflection on the topic. The thesis will compare corporal punishment as a form of an education and its opposite - a liberal education.The conclusion will include case studies. Two case studies deal with uthoritarian upbringing while the third case study deals with liberal education. Adaptation of Romany children at elementary school

The work deals with the problem of adaptation of Romany children at Czech elementary school. It is difficult for these children to interact with the environment of Czech schools due to differences in social and cultural spheres. Czech school often does not take into account these differences are not adequately prepared for high quality work with them. There is a lack of school readiness of Romany children, differences in language skills, cultural and social habits, and family backgrounds. The first part is outlining the historical context. It also discusses the relation between adaptation of Romany children at primary schools and language skills, social background and education in the Romany families and access to education in these families. A separate chapter is devoted to social exclusion and its effect on education of these children. At the conclusion of the work it comes with the now-established strategies that facilitate the education of Romany children. They are multicultural education, preparing grades and teaching assistant.
Child with disabilities in foster care

Abstract UHLÍŘOVÁ, Markéta. 'Child with Disabilities in Foster Care'. Prague : Faculty of Arts, Charles University in Prague, 2011. 140 pp. Graduation Thesis. In the opening chapters of the thesis entitled 'Child with Disabilities in Foster Care' are defined basic concepts relating to disability issues and there are also outlined options of care for a child with disabilities and their families. More text in detail deals with foster care, defines the essential functions of the family and describes various forms of foster care, which are applied to provide care for orphaned children socially in the Czech Republic. The main part of work deals with foster care, its history and particular types, given the current state of implementation of foster care in the Czech republic and discusses the process of mediation foster care with regard to the child with disabilities. The survey based on analysis of interviews with the famaliare experience, that has accumulated during their life foster-mothers, who take care to children with disabilities. The work is concluded by an evaluation of lessons learned and outlining ways on how to use them for those, who think about implement of the foster care and they would be willing to accept a child with disabilities.
Substitute Family Care - The Importance and Benefits of Foster Care

This work is focused on the evaluation and verification of the criteria of success foster care on the basis of their own experience. Affects the overall trend of the development of the child in the context of the family and the wider society. The key theme of this study is, above all, approach the importance and advantages of foster care, or clarify so much discussed questions of education of children in substitute family environment in terms of celospolečenského scale. To achieve the desired outcome here were used not only to their own knowledge and experience, which are processed in the individual kasuistikách, but also the conclusions of the expert examination of pedagogical-psychological counseling and specially-educational centre. The thesis has been processed on the basis of personal long- standing observation and study the behaviour of children in foster care, which are pursued and carried out directly in the family of the author thesis. DIPLOMA THESIS SUMMARY This thesis is aimed at reciprocal relationships between parents, the state and the nursery school. The key focal point of this research is a pre-school child and his needs as these are what the aforementioned institutions mainly concern themselves with. The theoretical part scrutinises the institutions. It explains their functions and examines their mutual relationships with the pre-schooler's needs in view. It characterizes the contemporary family and their current expectations. The diploma deals with provision of pre-school education by, the state as well as establishement and financing of nursery schools. It outlines historical development of the nursery school as an institution and reviews characteristics of a pre-school child. It also looks at various need assessment frameworks. The empirical part of the thesis is based on various hypotheses, some of which were aimed at awareness and review of the pre-school child's needs from the point of view of the teachers and the parents and some which were focused on satisfying the needs by the nursery school with respect to the child's individuality. Zabývá se implementací sexuální výchovy do vzdělávacích programu: Základní škola, Obecná škola, Národní škola a do rámcového vzdělávacího programu a analyzuje "Doporučení MŠMT CR k výuce sexuální výchovy". Positive parenting - education without the use of punishment

The thesis describes the phenomenon of education without punishment and positive parenting, which is engaged in this education. This thesis defines basic terms and definitions, which are necessary for an understanding of the topic. It describes basic parenting styles and defines unappropirate educational methods. It answers the question, why the use of directive methods is in the education ineffective and it characterizes other educational styles dealing with the educational without punishment. It also describes the problem of educational without punishment in relation to a psychology of moral development of a child and ethical issue of the problem. This thesis is beneficial for educators and parents, because it presents the description and the summary of basic educational methods without the use of punishment, from which today's society is increasingly abandoning and it is therefore important to know how to proceed in education without punishment.
Leisure time of children and family surrounding.

Bachelor thesis on "Activities for children and family environment" is focused on the issues of free time for children, especially for its use from the perspective of children themselves, as well as their parents. The theoretical part deals with a functionality of free time processed form of questions relating to education which in this area blends together with a family atmosphere. Analysing how parents can intervene positively and negatively to the use of leisure time of their children. Further work their way the function of the family and also the function of family environment on development of children especially their interests and abilities. I focus on leisure activity outside of the classroom and on the distribution of teachers who go in for of this free time. . An integral part of the thesis is the result of the negative impact on children in their free time, describing the consequences that may arise and we should try to avoid them. The practical part contains a survey: analysis of the views of parents whose professional focus is not pedagogical direction, parents with at least one of them is a teacher and an analysis of the answers of the children themselves. The research goal of my work is to analyse the general view of children's free time. How children use leisure time as guidance from parents, to what extent their leisure time is influenced by different factors and how far their ideas, wishes are taken into account.
Adaptation of a Child to the Kindergarden

The aim of this thesis is to highlight the importance of the adaptation period of a child to the nursery school setting, in connection with the importance of the family background and the necessity of a close cooperation of families and nursery school staff. In the theoretical part the student focuses on the different factors influencing the child?s nursery school adaptation and their description. The attention is dedicated especially to education in the family, and particularly to the mother-child relationship. In the practical part the student describes the performance of several adaptation period case studies, carried out in her class-room, on 2 to 4 children. The single case studies include the observation of children?s behavior, the description of selected adaptation means and different strategies of nursery school-family cooperation in the period from the inscription of the child to the Nursery school (spring 2010) to January 2011. To complement the practical part of the thesis, the student carries out a survey among the parents, by the means of questionnaires, to find out how the nursery school adaptation process of the children runs in practice. That is to underline how important it is to base the theoretical concept of pre-school education mainly on work experience.
