Optimalizace workflow grafika při úpravě standardních úloh pomoci současných grafických programů
Khabirova, Maja ; Horný, Stanislav (advisor) ; Bedřichová, Jana (referee)
This work focuses on the description and characteristics of common problems which graphic designers face daily when working for advertising agencies. This work describes tasks and organises them according to the type of graphic being processed and the types of output. In addition, this work describes the ways these common tasks can be completed using modern graphics editing software. It also provides a practical definition of a graphic designer and graphic agency. The aim of this work is to map out the fundamental tasks with raster graphics which graphic designers must perform most frequently during their work and to suggest an optimal workflow. As a result, after collating all of the proposed solutions, a manual should take form. It should help to facilitate early stages of work for students who may hold the position of junior graphic designer within advertising agencies.
The use of lymph drainage in patients with lymphedema
DĚKANOVÁ, Klára
For my bachelor thesis I chose the theme ?Utilisation of the lymph drainage at patients with lymphedema?. In the Czech Republic the lymph drainage is a relatively new method which is used in medical facilities only since the year 1992. Efforts to introduce this method in the area of the Czech Republic came already before, since the seventies of the 20th century this problems was dealt by MUDr. Miroslav Bechyně CSc. Thanks to him in 1992 the first course of manual lymph drainage was realised in the Czech Republic. In the same year MUDr. Bechyně contributed to the foundation of the League against swelling and he made a motion to the birth of the Czech society of lymphology. The aim of my thesis was to acquaint patients with the possibilities of the use of the lymph drainage in the health care, to find out to which extent it is possible to influence the lymphedema and above all how this method affects the global state of patients. In the theoretical part of the bachelor thesis I summarized the findings dealing with this problems. I engaged myself in the history of lymph drainage and in the research of the lymph system in the world and in our country. In my thesis I defined the notion of lymphedema and I sorted it according to its origin into primary and secondary. Next in the thesis I present the diagnosis of lymphedema and the possibilities of his conservative and chirurgical treatment. Among possibilities how to treat the lymphedema I chose in particular manual and instrumental lymph drainage. I present also indications and contraindications of the lymph drainages. In the thesis I dealt as well with the use of lymph taping. This method is more and more popular at patients with the chronical lymphedema. The application of the lymph tape has many advantages, for example it does not limit patients in move. In the last chapter of the theoretical part I dealt with possibilities of the spa treatment at patients with lymphedema. The practical part of my thesis was realised by the qualitative research strategy and the results were treated by the form of case interpretations. The research sample was constituted by four probands who had the diagnosis of lymphedema and whose therapy took place in the rehabilitation department of the health centre Poliklinika Jih MEDIPONT s.r.o. in České Budějovice. The sample was chosen from clients with various kinds of lymphedema who were willing to cooperate on my bachelor thesis. The chosen sample was constituted by one client with primary lymphedema and three clients with secondary lymphedema. Clients with the secondary lymphedema had diagnoses venous insufficiency, postoperative and post-traumatic lymphedema. All probands underwent 10 therapies of the manual and instrumental lymph drainage. At the beginning and at the end of the therapy the lower limb circumferences were measured. With the patient´s consent I have used their health documentation, I have elaborated their detailed anamnesis and I have realised a structured dialogue with all probands. The dialogue contained both closed-ended and open-ended questions in order to chart proband´s health state and the contribution of the implemented therapy. After the end of the therapy the probands had possibility to express their subjective opinions on the undergone treatment. All probands found out lymph drainage as a very pleasant procedure. Three of four probands have noticed improvement of their health state and a visible swelling reduction. At the fourth patient, who was treated with the lymphedema caused by the venous insufficiency the improvement did not take place yet. But this patient says that she did not observe regime measures. The doctor proposed to the patient to continue with the treatment. The results of my bachelor thesis may be used by other physiotherapists for the needs of education or for a further research.
Changes and development of digital video
Černý, Martin ; Čermák, Radim (advisor) ; Lisý, Martin (referee)
Final thesis deals with changes and development of digital video from the perspective of ordinary users. The aim is to describe how the amateur technology is getting closer to the professional video processing. This will be achieved by a description of the historical development of digital media and a comparison of amateur and professional technology. The part of thesis also deals with prerequisites for this development, which is the new camcorders, more high-efficiency computers, amateur editing programs and new approaches to video compression. The text provides a brief introduction to the topic of digital video, an overview of current technologies and asks questions about what the implications of this change are and what those changes could mean for the future.
Multi-wall carbon nanotube networks prepared from pure MWCNT and their oxidised forms effect of compressive strain on electric resistence
Olejník, R. ; Slobodian, P. ; Říha, Pavel ; Kimmer, D. ; Sáha, P.
Multi-wall carbon nanotube networks were prepared by filtration of CNT aqueous dispersions. CNT dispersions were prepared with the help of surfactant system (sodium dodecyl sulfate with amylalcohol) by ultrasonication. Three types of MWCNT tubes were used. The first were pure CNT delivered by supplier. The others were oxidized CNT oxidized (1. acid solution of KMnO4; 2. the mixture of acids H2SO4 + HNO3). It was found that oxidization significantly changes properties of prepared carbon nanotube networks. There were observed differences in porous structures networks analyzed by SEM microscopy. Moreover, the apparent density of prepared MWCNT networks also changes according to the used CNT. The network electrical resistance is also affected by process of MWCNT oxidation as well as by compressive strain. It was found that the network resistance is sensitive to compressive strain both in the course of strain growth and when loading/unloading cycles are imposed.
Improvement of manual lymph draining like method physical therapy in regeneration and therapeutic profession
OPATRNÁ, Alice
This thesis deals with usage of the technique of manual lymph drainage and verification of its influence in therapeutic, regeneration and cosmetic practise. This technique is very popular among non-professional and professional public. As for the regeneration practise it is used especially for cellulite treatment, whereas in medical practise it is used for healing numerous kinds of swelings, lymphedems in particular. In the introduction to the theoretical part my thesis aims for history of this technique in the Czech republic and abroad, emphasizes the importance of professional knowledge of the lymphatic system anatomy, physiology and pathophysiology, indication and contraindication and it introduces this manual heptic technique in detail. The practical part deals with verification of effectiveness of the manual lymph drainage technique in practise and it compares input and output data of the monitored set. The results of the practical examination confirm the effectiveness of this method in the therapeutic practise.
The Theoretical Background of Neuronal Networks
ROKŮSEK, Zdeněk
In focus of this dissertation is the theoretical background of the neural networks with a description of basic models of these neural networks and their application in practice. Furthermore, this work provides a concise historical overview of the exploration on field of the neural calculations. It also clarifies neuro-physiological motivation that conducts to the mathematical model of the neuron just like the neural networks. The number of options of neural networks and ways how to apply them is high. The neural networks can be used to define figures or to compress data, and so on. Among the most familiar models of a neural network is the multilayer neural network, the model of MADALINE, the associative network or the Hopfield´s network.
Komprese dvousměrných texturních dat založaná na víceůrovňové vektorové kvantizaci - doplňkový materiál
Havran, V. ; Filip, Jiří ; Myszkowski, K.
The Bidirectional Texture Function (BTF) is becoming widely used for accurate representation of real-world material appearance. In this paper a novel BTF compression model is proposed. The model resamples input BTF data into a parametrization, allowing decomposition of individual view and illumination dependent texels into a set of multidimensional conditional probability density functions. These functions are compressed in turn using a novel multi-level vector quantization algorithm. The result of this algorithm is a set of index and scale code-books for individual dimensions. BTF reconstruction from the model is then based on fast chained indexing into the nested stored code-books. In the proposed model, luminance and chromaticity are treated separately to achieve further compression. The proposed model achieves low distortion and compression ratios 1:233-1:2040, depending on BTF sample variability.

Compression test of a timber core - ANSYS model and moire interferometry experiment
Micka, Michal ; Minster, Jiří ; Václavík, P.
The paper presents results of modelling a non-standard compression test of timber, executed on small diameter cores in a special testing device. The test is semidestructive - friendly to historic timber. Numerical solution for elastic orthotropic material is correlated with results of moire-intererometry experimental data. The approach enables to define strengths and Young´s moduli of the assessed core.
