The disappearing work - a sociological interpretation, reality or both?
Burjánková, Anna ; Tuček, Milan (advisor) ; Kuchař, Pavel (referee)
The present western society is characterized as a society, which is running out of work. The main aim of the presented thesis is an analysis of sociological interpretations of this civilization problem. The sociological theories were consequently supplemented by empirical material. The first part of the work is concentrated on theoretical variability of the interpretation of the problem of the disappearing work. H. Arendt's and L. Clausen's concepts are explained, then technological approach, descriptive theories of dematerialization and subjectif!cation and critical approach are introduced and the chapter is closed by suggestion of solution from U. Beck, which is found in universal basic income and civic work. The second part is complementary based on the empirical evidence of some theoretical conclusions and on the partial illustration in the concrete context of the Czech Republic. The data of employment, labour marker flexibility, position of work between values and civic engagement revise to some extent theoretical conclusions. The aim of the thesis was apart from the compilation to show how sociology describes, makes popular, formulates, solves and creates one problem at the same time. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

In this connection we sketched the possible ways of expression and we tried to find out whether the literature and film differ intrinsically. In this part we also investigated the influence of the film on Manuel Puig's writing in general. We mentioned the literary critics and the author's opinions about whether this influence is present or not in Puig's novels, as far as the formal elements (the narrator, characters description, dialogue) as well as the thematic elements (sentimental motives, melodrama) are concerned. In the main part of this work we focused on Puig's novel "Boquitas pintadas" and the study of the artistic means of expression which had been presented in the previous part. We gave a brief characteristic of...

Pobežal, Michal ; Mrkvička, Tomaš (advisor) ; Prázová, Irena (referee)
The diploma work proceeded from a hypothesis, that Internet will gradually lead to a development, similar to the one of TV or radio - thus that it will become a medium, through which a narrow group of owners of particular titles of this media will share on the profit generation and that after a certain period the entry of new subjects into this market will be limited in a same way as it is today in the world of electronic media and print. And also that the big internet web sites will enter the print and electronic media market or will influence it significantly. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

Standard and non-standard language in printed media communication and its impact on discussions about standard language
Pospíšilová, Martina ; Šoltys, Otakar (advisor) ; Jirák, Jan (referee)
The present Master's thesis analyses language means in printed media with a particular focus on national daily newspapers from the second trimester of 1993. That year, there was an important linguistic conference on standardised Czech and language culture. The analysis examines especially language means that deviate from the standardised norm of the language. The theoretical part discusses key concepts, such as norm and codification or national language and its varieties. The understanding of these terms is critical for the analytical part of the thesis where language means used in printed media are being analysed using quantitative content analysis. The aim of this analysis is to describe their motivation of use and function. The results are then compared with the proceedings of the 1993 conference on standardised Czech and language culture held in Olomouc. The thesis provides a clear view on how the occurrence of non-standardised language means in media influences academic discussion on standardised Czech.
