Modifying the Babetta engine
Poulíček, Matěj ; Píštěk, Václav (referee) ; Kaplan, Zdeněk (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is about one of the possible modifications of two-stroke single-cylinder Babetta 210 engine for increasing of power. Further about another manufactured Babetta engines with focus on their pros and cons. Attention is paid also to possible design changes for elimination of drawbacks.
Over-expanded internal-combustion engines
Novotný, Pavel ; Janoušek, Michal (referee) ; Drápal, Lubomír (advisor)
At the beginning there is a short history of over-expanded engines. Subsequently, the thermodynamics of ideal over-expanded cycles are analysed and compared with the ideal Otto cycle. The thesis also deals with some design solutions for achieving over-expansion in an internal combustion engine. In the thesis there are also selected over-expanded engines from leading world carmakers. At the end the thesis deals with systems with variable compression ratio.
Audio signal dynamic compressors
Panenka, Vojtěch ; Kubánek, David (referee) ; Koton, Jaroslav (advisor)
This thesis describes block diagram and speci cations of dynamics compressor with an example of realization of each block. As a result of this thesis I’ve designed, constructed and experimentaly mesured dynamics compressor based on VCA circuit.
Thermodynamic of Atkinson and Miller cycle
Böhm, Michael ; Mauder, Tomáš (referee) ; Štětina, Josef (advisor)
In the bachelor thesis is performed a basic thermodynamic analysis of combustion engines cycles. For every cycle there is also a design for a real combustion engine. Subsequently, the Atkinson and Miller cycles are compared to the ideal Otto cycle with supercharger and without it in terms of thermal efficiency for the same input parameters. The results are evaluated and the use of the Atkinson and Miller cycle in motor vehicles is explained. Next, there are specific car representatives, which use these cycles and the development trends of modern cars.
Compression of ECG signal
Blaschová, Eliška ; Němcová, Andrea (referee) ; Vítek, Martin (advisor)
This paper represents the most well-known compression methods, which have been published. A Compression of ECG signal is important primarily for space saving in memory cards or efficiency improvement of data transfer. An application of wavelet transform for compression is a worldwide discussed topic and this is the reason why the paper focuses in this direction. Gained wavelet coefficients might be firstly quantized and then compressed using suitable method. There are many options for a selection of wavelet and a degree of decomposition, which will be tested from the point of view of the most efficient compression of ECG signal.
Honda B Engines
Smělý, Jiří ; Bradávka, Marek (referee) ; Svída, David (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with four-stroke internal combustion gasoline engines series B by manufacturer Honda (marked B-series) focusing on their characteristics, construction and use of models in the course of production. Attention is also given to applicability of these engines for racing cars.
Cylinder unit of motocycle two-stroke engine
Stejskal, Miroslav ; Novotný, Pavel (referee) ; Píštěk, Václav (advisor)
Miroslav STEJSKAL Cylinder unit of motorcycle two-stroke engine In the beginning is briefly described two-stroke engine features. Furthermore, according to the set of basic geometric and thermodynamic parameters, the maximum pressure in the cylinder during one engine cycle. For the selected operating modes are carried out strength tests of the upper piston and connecting rod eye. In conclusion, the results are evaluated.
Aircraft Piston Engines
Nepraš, Ondřej ; Svída, David (referee) ; Dundálek, Radim (advisor)
This thesis is focused on the overview of aircraft piston engines. Attention is devoted to known, nontraditional or other interesting construction types of aircraft piston engines largely from period of Second World War. This paper looks at the historical development of aircraft engines and propellers, and is followed by a detailed description of the piston engine design. The detailed description will form the main focus of the thesis. This will cover the main requirements and differences of aircraft piston engines types. Particular engines were selected, described and technical data was given.
Ideal cycles of internal combustion engines
Marušák, Ondřej ; Jedelský, Jan (referee) ; Štětina, Josef (advisor)
The thesis set out the basic thermodynamic circulation and their properties. For these orbits are shown ideal cycles gas engine and diesel engine, in which investigating thermal efficiency depending on the change in their characteristic parameters. The results are reported in tables and diagrams. For each of the engines is also a table with most values the compression ratio, the final compression pressure, the final compression temperature and maximum combustion pressure. Finally, we compare the thermal efficiency of the two orbits in the T-s diagrams.
Ideal cycles of internal combustion engines
Polívka, Radek ; Jaroš, Michal (referee) ; Štětina, Josef (advisor)
During the development of cars, two main basic types of internal combustion engines have been detached: diesel engines and petrol engines. The aim of the thesis is to make an analysis of ideal cycles of these engines (graphic scheme, derivation of valid formulas, characteristics quantities, etc.), with insist on the most important of parameters-thermal efficiency and then compare their advantages and disadvantages.
