Ritualization of death and dying in the Revolution of 1848: the cult of the dead
Randák, Jan ; Hlavačka, Milan (advisor) ; Řepa, Milan (referee) ; Kořalka, Jiří (referee)
Looking apart from subsidiary topics, the presented thesis generally attempts to take a non-traditional view of the subject of the revolutionary year of 1848. While a vast majority of the existing research has been focused on the course of the revolution, particular political camps and leaders of the contemporary movement, I have put emphasis on a phenomenon seemingly concealed and disregarded. My attention was aimed on the dead, the victims of the events of this hectic period. Death as such has indeed been a traditional interest of historians, nevertheless, reception and reflection thereof in a political or rather a revolutionary context is a fairly less regarded subject. Therefore, I have laid out an indeed concrete topíc in my thesis - ritualisation of death and dying during the revolution of 1848. A simple question is apparent: why study this subject of the dead and victims in the Czech context when no major fights occured here and thus the number of fatalities was not extreme? After reading my thesis the answer com es up as obviously as the question does: despite a relatively low body count of the Pentecost events in June 1848, a cult of the dead and victims of the revolution 1848 is present in the course of the few restless months. The cult of the dead was a sophisticated means of using the victims to...

From the perspective of conflicting opinions on the women's education in the second half of the 19th century and on the background of struggles for its formal establishing this contribution follows the Masaryk's views on relevant issues from the time he became a deputy in the Imperial Diet in early 1890s. Švadlenová, Jana ; Havrdová, Zuzana (advisor) ; Procházková, Jana (referee)
The main topic of my diploma work called "The use of psychodrama in supervision" is a psychodrama method that is applied for the use of supervision praxis. In the first part of my work - Psychodrama as a method - is psychodrama described in its historical development that is connected with its founder J. L. Moreno, a doctor and a psychotherapist from Austria. Further in the text is psychodrama defined in the context of contemporary conception. It is also showed how are its basic elements, phases and techniques used in the praxis. In the second part of my work - Supervision and the method of psychodrama - is the psychodramatic supervision presented from the two points of view. The first point of view belongs to several contemporary professionals dealing with its theory and praxis and the second one belongs to German supervisors who were asked for this purpose. This part also summarises arguments for the use of psychodramatic supervision, specific concepts of professional education and theoretical concepts of psychodramatic supervision. As my diploma work is dedicated especially to the supervisors who are on the beginning of their supervision carriers it contains also concrete limits and recommendations for the use of psychodramatic supervision that have preventive character.

Černá, Jana ; Dvořáčková, Ivana (advisor) ; Dostálková, Šárka (referee) ; Drašner, Ivan (referee)
Theory and Practice an the Competence of Graduate Nurse. Working in the Surgical Ambulance This bachelor thesis deals with the contemporary situation and new trends in health service - in the branch of nursing. It presents and evaluates theoretical assumptions of further development of a graduated nurse in new conditions. The empirical part is aimed at identification of the conditions for the work of a graduated nurse and to recognize whether the current legislation enables such a nurse to work individually, concretely in surgical ambulance. The thesis concludes that graduated nurses are allowed to work individually and separately conformably to the laws, and patients and insurance companies take concern in their work. On the basis of this fact some questions arise: Why is there a problem to implement it in practice? Do we really take care in graduate nurses?

BIELKOVÁ, Petra
The subject of the Bachelor work is a research of Italian neologisms from the sphere of cosmetics from 1900 to 2011. The work is divided into two parts. The theoretical part includes theoretical basis for understanding and timing of the concrete term neologism, how is the Italian language enriched with neologisms in the 20. and 21. century, how I sought out them. Furthermore, this part indicates the definition of the semantic sphere of cosmetics. In the analytical part I compiled my own corpus of contemporary Italian texts from the sphere of cosmetics, I verified in the explanatory dictionaries the etymology and the dating of the lexis, I determined basic categories in terms of the mode of the formation of words and I analysed selected samples according to various criterions. The aim of this work is to find neologisms from the sphere of cosmetics in contemporary Italian texts (especially in Italian magazines), to determine their etymology and to analyse them in details in terms of the method of the formation of words.

Lukavská, Jana ; Pospíšil, Ctirad Václav (advisor) ; Kohut, Pavel Vojtěch (referee)
The aim of this thesis is analysing the very problem and meaning of human suffering. First of all it is the testimony of Scripture itself that is used as a means of fulfilling our task, secondarily also the comparison with understanding of suffering and its mystery as presented in the apostolic letter of John Paul II. Furthermore, the thesis concentrates on the differences between suffering in male and female experience and also on examining the meaning and mission of suffering in the lives of two contemporary saints, Father Pio and Mother Theresa. The analysis is undertaken with the help of the tools offered by the International Theological Commission document Communion and Stewardship: Human Persons Created in the Image of God. At the closure of the work, there are described several concrete cases of people who went through the experience of suffering in their lives. Human suffering, the suffering of women, the suffering of men, Father Pio, Mother Theresa, Communion and Stewardship.

The ongoing changes in the category of identification in contemporary standard and non-standard Czech
Dobiáš, Daniel ; Zikánová, Šárka (referee) ; Čermák, František (advisor)
While the category of in/definiteness in Czech and other Slavonic languages (except Bulgarian and Macedonian, cf. Corbett - Comrie, 2002) is not expressed by articles, the present paper is concerned with the observation that in contemporary spoken nonstandard Czech a) the demonstrative pronoun ten is developing functions of a definite article, and b) the indefinite pronoun nějaký is developing functions of an indefinite article (alongside with the numeral jeden). On the basis of quantitative analysis, I will demonstrate that this development is ongoing predominantly in spoken non-standard Czech, in which speakers mark identification even if it is obvious from other means (e.g. functional sentence perspective), whereas in standard Czech this tendency is still avoided. Methodologically this paper starts from grammaticalisation theory, according to which frequently used expressions are in certain contexts syntactically and morphological1y reanalyzed, and after having grammaticalised, they continue to develop new grammatical functions (cf. Traugott 1995). The general trend in the field of grammaticalisation is that new means are first very productive in spoken language and pervade standard language only after that. As will be shown later, the development of ten / nějaký in Czech is at a stage in which these...

Pišna, Jan ; Trávníček, Jiří (advisor) ; Voit, Petr (referee)
The work is a contribution to the research on contemporary reader of the 16th century in the Czech lands. On the basis of available materials, retrospective bibliography and existing research in comparison with foreign research and theoretical approaches to the matter of historical reader it deals with book culture with the focus on the reader (expansion of book print, censorship, changes of various parts of books, obtaining books and their placement in libraries, reading equipment), ways and character of reading (teaching reading, silent reading and reading aloud, reading out, repetitive, selective and extensive reading), with analysis of contemporary book production (religious literature, amusing reading, school literature) and contemporary canon of religious and school texts. On the basis of this knowledge, in the conclusion, we attempt to show the ways for future research on getting to know a contemporary reader, we are drawing attention especially to the absence of basic research on book culture.
