The presented thesis analyzes the eBook market. The aim of the thesis is to establish the optimal way of pricing electronic books. The most important entities of book markets are defined, and the utmost stress is put on changes in the entities' role that have been brought about by the coming of eBooks. The thesis is not only limited to the model of sales of eBooks, but also discussed are alternative business models based on the eBook as an object of monetization. The conclusion of the thesis summarizes the findings, and introduces possible trends in the development of the described subject.

Market conditions are constantly changing. Enterprises try to furnish the best products and services, to be competitive and sustainable. Constantly new businesses are coming to the market which compete the existing ones. Customers demand quality products and services and want to fulfil their wishes. And it is a big challenge for a company's strategic management which must respond efficiently to stimuli from the external environment and shape a strategy to achieve corporate goals. This thesis offers a theoretical perspective on strategy, strategic management and strategic analysis. Theoretical knowledge is applied in a practical part and the company's draft strategy has been formulated using the strategic analysis results in the form Business model Canvas.

The specialization of the final master thesis is theory and a practical view of Location Intelligence. The author is writing about specific parts of development of the application which is focused on analysis of consumer's behaviour for managers of retail businesses focused on customer's satisfaction. The application is a new way of researching consumer's behaviour. Spatial data is connected with the subject of research -- analysis of the movement of consumers in retail stores. The application is a practical tool for better targeting for managers or marketing specialists. The app was developed by four researcher Martin Matějka, Tomáš Rosenberger, Vilém Kalus (three diploma researchers) and Ondřej Funiok. The Main goal of the final thesis was to describe the application from the business point of view and to design layout of the user interface. The business model helped us to specify the application from the business point of view. We reached the main goal with research articles of Location Intelligence. The thesis contains theory basis of informatics and geo-informatics field, Business Intelligence, Location Intelligence and selected business models. The practical part of the thesis is composed of integrating application to the business model, functionality description. From functionality description we designed the user interface. The practical part closes with the use case of application in Vysoká škola ekonomická v Praze. Benefits of the thesis are in development of real, new application for future commercial use. Contribution to the theory of Location Intelligence and analytical solution of development of user interface.
Analyze of business plan for IT projects

The aim of this thesis is the proposal of a framework for creation of a business plan for IT related projects. Emphasis is targeted on proposing usable framework evolved from theoretical findings. The first part describes the term business plan on theoretical level. Moreover, the first part includes the development of IT investments in start-up projects. The second part relates to a new proposed framework for creation of a business plan for IT related projects, based on the outcomes from the first part. The third part describes practical example of the proposed framework. It includes the Executive Summary and the complete business plan for the IT start-up project (specifically area of hardware installation, configuration and sales), based on the new framework.
Business plan of fitness center

The aim of this thesis is to develop a business plan of fitness center with subsequent evaluation of the investment. First, the product itself and the ownership structure is introduced and than followed by an analysis of the market, customer, competitor analysis and analysis of suppliers, in which multicriteria decision with the help of Saaty method and the method of linear utility fiction is used. This is followed by personnel and marketing plan including marketing mix and marketing budget. In the financial plan, there is the opening balance sheet, statement of cash flow, profit and loss account for the first year and the balance sheet after the first year of business. In this section, the break-even point is calculated. The evaluation of the project is preceded by risk analysis. The sensitivity criteria of income is examined for the operation of two, or four factors. For the investment evaluation are used static and dynamic methods of evaluation. Under certain conditions, the project is profitable.

Design and implementation of a Rezervacnik service

The main objective of this thesis is the design and the realization of the SaaS project Rezervacnik. The thesis itself consist of three parts. The first part defines the SaaS and Cloud Computing, and the establishment of basic advantages and disadvantages of SaaS services. The second part analyzes the information model of the SaaS provider. Introduce are the basic application billing and subscription software for the management of SaaS, which are researched and compared. The last part presents Rezervacnik project and defines the advantages of online booking. After finding a market assumption are designed all parts of the project. Finally, it is presented as part of the implementation.

This thesis considers current status of recording industry divided into two parts – music and audiobooks, either in the whole world and Czech Republic. Used technologies, payment systems and business models are examined alongside with fresh information from recording industry. The models part describes an ideal business model, which incorporates current trends and creates a vision of the business in the future. Applied part adjusts this model according to real world factors into a model usable in the Czech Republic. A final SWOT analysis describes all strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of the given model.
Key aspects of web applications according to their business focus

The main focus of this diploma thesis is the characteristics of key aspects, which are important when designing, implementing and maintaining web application, whereas these aspects differ according to business model of the web application. The thesis reflects modern trends in the areas of web project management, UX, web design, E-Commerce process management etc. The thesis consists of the introduction, theoretical part, practical part and conclusion. In the introduction I present the reason for picking this topic, the more in-depth targets of the thesis, preconditions, restrictions, in-depth structure, sum-up the expected contribution and present research of the field. The theoretical part consists of the information about online business and introduction of the web applications. Furthermore, the key domains are presented with the new trends in different areas of web applications. In the practical part, at the beginning, there are categories of web applications defined, which are based on different business models introduced earlier. This part is followed by the comprehensive analysis in the field of web E-Commerce applications for each category of the web application, with the output of trends and best practices in the field according to each domain of the web application. It is then followed by the analysis of situation around web applications in general, because here were also some trends and best practice noticed. In conclusion I sum up the acquired results, introduce the contribution of the thesis and think about the situation around the web applications.

The thesis covers the phenomenon of business model innovation. It provides with theoretical background of the concept based on the works of several scientists who stand at the beginnings of the discipline. The paper also introduces the principles of design thinking applied to business model innovation in order to get superior results and serve as a guideline for ideation processes and presenting enhancements to existing business models. The practical part is devoted to applying the described concepts on examples from real life, which can especially help small companies in their battle with incumbents. Three industries are analyzed to see the flaws with the current state of things. New business models that can disrupt corresponding industries are offered at the end of each case.
