Hamhalterová, Dana ; Köpplová, Barbara (advisor) ; Sekera, Martin (referee)
The object of this dissertation is to describe development of the press in urban district Klatovy during 1918 - 1941 for example the weekly newspaper Šumavan. By political and social background we are going to explain development of this weekly newspaper from his beginning to his cessation and to describe character of the newspaper. We are also going to give attention to figure of a founder, an owner and an editor Maxmilián Čermák and his son Otakar Čermák. Patriotic thinking at the beginning of 60's in 19th century in Klatovy gave the incentive to foundation of the first Czech printing office in Klatovy in autumn 1867. The Czech printing office was the essential step for foundation of Czech-written periodical which would spread thoughts and interest in well-being of the whole Bohemia Forest area. To foundation and continuance of the first Czech newspapers in south-western Bohemia (except Pilsen) contributed patriotic thinking grammar school profesors and rich citizens from Klatovy who were concentrated around guild Měšťanská beseda. The weekly newspaper Šumavan was publicated during 1868 - 1941 if we don't count the last issue which was publicated on 19th May 1945 to liberation of Czechoslovakia. Expulsion of Aliens on National Security Grounds in the Context of International and European law
Válková, Zuzana ; Ondřej, Jan (referee) ; Honusková, Věra (referee)
This study deals with the expulsion of aliens in modern international and European law. I have focused on the particular ground for the expulsion, i. e. national security, in the context of the States' obligations under some selected international human rights instruments and the relevant European law. National security is one of the generally accepted grounds for the expulsion of aliens, but the content of this term is not strictly defined. As a consequence of this lack of clarity national security may be abused by States. I focused on such abuse in the process of expulsion when States use the exception of national security as a reason for not allowing aliens to benefit from the procedural guarantees provided by international law. There have been two kinds of abuse of the national security term with respect to the procedural rights of the expelled persons found in this study. First, States expel aliens forthwith without giving them the opportunity to submit reasons against their expulsion or have their case reviewed by a competent authority also in cases when the exception of national security is indefensible. Second, the national security interest restricts the effectiveness of the appeal proceedings in cases when the domestic legislative does not permit the expelled persons to be informed about...

Vácha, Jiří ; Scholz, Stefan (advisor) ; Kuthan, Jiří (referee)
I. Název bakalářské práce: Foundation and building history of St. Nicholas Church in the period of top and late Middle Ages and early modern period in the town České Budějovice1 II. Anotace: In my work I deal with not only the oldest period of building of St. Nicholas Church in the town České Budějovice in the 13-th and 14-th century, but I include new information into regional and church- administrative context. According new connections from literature written and non-written sources and new information I devide the building history into 3 periods connected with economical power and policy of town and reformatory transformation of the Church. The first period defines years 1265-1279, i.e. beginning of building the Church and date of it's interruption of money shortage. Maybe before 1297 was consecrated not finished. The second period defines years 1297-1335 and during this period was building of the Church. Last period is after 1335. And since that we have big source fund showing us Church area, altar beneficious and stay of clergy. We can see, that these historical periods are connected with economical and political power, which after 1265 looked for it's home. In the next part of my work I deal with foundation of town rectory, which was consecutive created besides much older, non-town rectory. The...

Lexical analysis of the novel "Mahrem" by Elif Şafak
Farahat, Milena ; Kučera, Petr (referee) ; Zemánek, Petr (advisor)
one hand it deals with the litera! and stylistic aspects of the novel in relation to the use of vocabulary, dosely linked to the topic of the novel, on the other hand it focuses on inner structures of the text, which is analysed and demonstrated by strict use of mathematical means. The thesis i s divided in to three parts, each focusing on a different aspect of the literary work and therefore each having its own method. From the perspective of the approach to the analysed subject, the first two chapters share many common features with regards to their interest in the aesthetic function of literary techniques, be they the narrative structure or the use ofvocabulary. The third chapter deals with textual structures while applying quantitative methods in accordance with text linguistics. It can be stated that the results ofthe first analysis serve as an introductory step into the second analysis, especially because of the use of the frequency dictionary ofthe novel that was created for the first analysis. The stylistic-lexical analysis confirms that Elif Safak deploys a wide range of archaic words, which is not very common in modem Turkish, but they are well incorporated in the novel's rhetorical style. This fact contributes to the high litera! quality ofthe novel. The study concentrates on different aspects of...

Krejčíková, Eva ; Klimešová, Anna (advisor) ; Mašát, Vladimír (referee)
Childern's home in Vilšany is not an ordinary kind of institutions of social welfare in Ukraine. Its uniqueness makes it need a special care, which is for last six years provided by a group of volunteers from civic association called Bodaj. The circumstance, mean, expanse, spectrum of provided social services for clients have a negative influence to psychological development of inmates in Vilšany. My work is interested in these provided services, it is described in a wider cultural context of the life in Zakarpadská Ukraine. To make it closer to my readers I present basic and global information connected with processing of the childern's home, also with negative influences of provided services, nowadays conditions of this place and tries of changing and global higher quality of clients' lives. The example of the influence of environments can be found in a chapter of a development assessment of the client named Eržika, which was based on analysis of her art creations provided by volunteers of Bodaj civic association. At last I have focused my work on alternatives and different means of work which would make this environment more benign for clients than it is now. I try to suggest some art activities to make it real. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

Man´s Position In Family Planning
CÁPOVÁ, Adéla
The participation of men in family planning appears to be a suitable tool for the improvement of relationships between couples and their children. This thesis studies the attitudes of men towards family planning questions. The theoretical part of the thesis is divided into three main chapters: Family planning, The Male Indentity and the Social Roles of Men. The research methods which were chosen were based upon the collection of data. Twenty semi-structured interviews with early adult men were processed by means of grounded theory. Interview questions involved the definition of family planning and seven categories were created upon that basis: the association of the concept of family planning, images of family, attitudes towards the meaning of children in life, male attitudes regarding men{\crq}s role in child care, paternity leave, contraception as well as solutions regarding fertility disorders. The chosen methodology should assess the important social influences that play a role in the attitudes of men towards family planning and the roles of men in family planning. The setting of the conditions for the beginning of reproduction should be the result of negotiation within the couple. In spite of the willingness to change parenting roles, negotiation still leads to a traditional division of these parenting roles, where the woman is a care-giver and the man is the breadwinner. Gender sensitive upbringing is a good way to give support towards the responsibility within the family planning of men and women; it leads them in equal negotiation regarding questions of parenting. The results of this thesis is the creation of a new theory about the role of men in family planning and interested researchers are to be encouraged to verify its validity by continuing in this area of research.

Sources and Development of Germany's Position towards NATO Enlargement, 1990-97
Eberle, Jakub ; Handl, Vladimír (advisor) ; Kunštát, Miroslav (referee)
This thesis strives to explain formation of German government's attitude towards NATO enlargement within the years of 1990-97. The approach presented is embedded in social constructivist theories of foreign policy and international relations, which emphasize the importance of values, norms and language and downplay the influence of material factors. A theoretical model for analysis of German foreign policy making is proposed, comprising of three essential steps: First, it is the identity that determines limits of states' behaviour. Second, different foreign policy roles arise and engage in a role conflict within discourse. Third, the actual decision is constituted under the influence of external factors. Further, key concepts of understanding the normative background of German foreign policy are put under examination, including the ideas of civilian power and strategic culture. The essence of this background in terms of norms and values is examined consequently. Evolution of different variants of Germany's position towards the enlargement issue is explained and key actors involved in the debate are identified, including their interpretations of German identity and the clash they involved themselves in. Finally, crucial external factors are described and their influence on the decision making process,...
