In my bachelor's work I would like to focus on monetary and fiscal policy of the U.S. since the Great Depression to the present. My work will focus especially on three main topics. In the first part I will try to summarize the causes and consequences of the Great Depression, in another part I will pay attention to 1950s and 1960s in which the Keynesian theory prevailed. Finally I will try to find out if there are any common elements of the financial crisis in 1930s and of the current one. Seeing that I want to reveal the causes of the Great Depression, on which I will base my findings later, I will devote a few words to the characteristics of the golden era in the 1920s at the beginning of my work.

At the beginning of my work I will try to explore the theoretical part, as what are the consequences of a financial crisis on state economy and how to respond to them using disponible tools of fiscal and monetary policy so that the impact is as acceptable as possible. The aim of my essay is an analysis and comparison of the effectiveness of monetary and fiscal policy on the reduction of the impact of the financial crisis and what is their effect on the growth of GDP, development of inflation, employment and other macroeconomic indicators. The question is basically how to restart the economic growth and how to achieve it. I will also explore the possible non-acceptance of any precautions. Fiscal rules and their efficiency - Anglophone countries and the EMU
Maastrichtská kritéria a Pakt stability a růstu.
