The world of work through the perspective of state, labour unions and employers. Building a hegemony.
Němec, Lukáš ; Lánský, Ondřej (advisor) ; Májíček, Jan (referee)
(in English): During adolescence, a person's value orientations towards society, employment, and the economy are being shaped significantly. The educational system plays an important role in this maturing of a person's values in that it provides key social orientation in the form of knowledge, consciousness, or opinions. The theory of cultural and social reproduction was among the first analyses of critical education that drew attention to the fact that this mediation of orientation serves for the maintaining (reproduction) of social inequalities in society. The basic question of education according to these analyses of critical education thus is not what knowledge we get at school, but rather whose knowledge. In the Czech Republic, ca. 73% of pupils go through secondary vocational training. After graduation, most of these pupils are the first to enter the world of paid labor at a relatively early age. Between 2004 and 2012, intermediate vocational training underwent a change of system in the form of the implementation of curriculum reform in connection with the adoption of Act No. 561 / 2004 Coll. on Preschool, Elementary, Secondary, Tertiary Vocational, and Other Education. Curriculum reform enabled various social agents to influence the goals and content of education at the national level...

Rakušanová, Františka ; Hamplová, Dana (advisor) ; Kuchař, Pavel (referee)
The diploma thesis investigates attitudes of employers and employees towards flexible forms of working. Flexible forms of working are, for purpose of the diploma thesis, understood as a tool for work-life balance. Attention is devoted to part-time, home office, flexible working hours and job-sharing. Research of employers and employees attitudes is based on a questionnaire survey and focus groups realized within a project METR at Fond of Further Education. The aim of the diploma thesis is to find out not only the actual using of flexible forms of working in companies and organizations, but also the potential for their development. The results of the diploma thesis show that flexible forms of working are very actual topic among employers and employees. However, employers are still afraid of their implementation. Part-time contracts are the most often used flexible forms of working and also have the greatest potential for the future development. Keywords: Flexible forms of working, part-time, home office, flexible working hours, job-sharing, employees, employers, attitudes
The Policy of Elderly Employment in the Czech Republic
Škorvagová, Viktorie ; Lupač, Petr (advisor) ; Kuchař, Pavel (referee)
This thesis focuses on elderly employment, specifically on how employers reflect this issue in relation to the other two main actors - the state and the elderly. Data was collected through semi structured in-depth interviews with six HR managers from companies in the sector of services and it was analysed by the method of Grounded Theory, with the aim of bringing a general model of their behaviour. Apart from the model, the results bring several deeper insights into how employers perceive the 50+ workers as their employees and as candidates seeking a job. Respondents were also evaluating the states activities in this matter, with a closer focus on the tools of Active Employment Politics. Key words: Older worker, employment, employers, HR managers, state, Active Employment Politics, Grounded theory
Involvement of employers in the provision of care for preschool children in the Czech Republic
Rumanová, Jana ; Dobiášová, Karolína (advisor) ; Kotrusová, Miriam (referee)
My thesis deals with the involvement of employers in the provision of child care services in the Czech republic, their legislative options, motivations, and challenges associated with providing these services. In addition to the so-called. "firm" kindergartens governed by the School Low, recently there was established new child care in children's groups. I try to describe and explain the process of creating this new legislation using optics of Multiple Streams Theory. The conducted expert interviews and interviews with representatives of employers helped me with the identification of external motivations and influences mainly from the state and the surrounding environment and internal factors directly related to the organization. Problem areas mainly concern the establishment of the service and its sustainability. At the conclusion of the thesis, there are formulated recommendations that could help a greater involvement of employers in the provision of childcare services.
