Private Equity as a Form of Investment

The diploma thesis deals with the different ways of investment in Private Equity. The work is focused on investment decision making, investment process and due diligence. In the analytical part, the author evaluates the results of the questionnaire, which focuses on the factors of investment decision. Factors that investment decisions are divided into three categories examined by the author.

Economic analysis of the project of a biogas power plant in the Czech Republic

In recent years, the society is more interested in the use of renewable source of energy, which is related to the establishment of biogas power plants. The aim of this thesis is to evaluate the economic benefits of investing in a particular project of biogas power plant where social impacts will not be the main indicator. In the methodological part is defined methodology (static and dynamic methods of investment decision making, sensitivity analysis). Followed by the introduction of the investor and the project. In the analytical part is evaluated the project from an economic point of view and ways of sales compared with use of biogas feed-in tariffs and green bonuses. The thesis also includes assessment of the impacts of investment from the economic, social and environmental point of view.

The influence of selected investment on the financial situation of the company (creation of a financial plan).

The thesis is on the investment project of the production company XYZ. The first aim of this thesis is the evaluation of effectiveness of the investment project of the company that uses the methods of economic evaluation of investment efficiency. The result is the recommendation whether implement an investment, or not. The second objective is to determine which of the considered sources of financing, is the best for the company. The considered sources of financing are business loan and finance lease. The result informs the investor about the economy that he reaches by fading of the project by one of the above mentioned resources.

This work discusses about issues of investment decision, which is crucial for every business. The aim of this thesis was to evaluate the effectiveness of selected investment project. To assess the potential of this investment, was necessary to assess the current status, whether the enterprise has enough resources to finance this intensive investment. Whether the project is not associated with an increase in the financial risk of the company. Then were identified revenues and expeditures of the project.It was finally in the evaluation of the effectiveness of investments carried out an analysis of the risk of the project.

The impact of the crisis on investment decision making

The objective of the thesis was to describe and analyze the key factors that have an impact on investment decision making during the period of economic recession, in this case on the example of current financial crisis. The thesis is divided into three main parts. The first part is about the issue of financial crisis. The second part characterizes basic macroeconomic determinants, which have an influence on the investment cycle. The third part characterizes the theory of effective and ineffective markets, psychology of investors and market bubbles as the key factors influencing the investment decision making during the period of economic crisis.

The effectiveness evaluation of chosen investment

This bachelor work deals with area of investment decision making, which is fundamental for all companies. The aim of work was to evaluate the profitability and potential risks of brewery Alfa. In order to avaluate the company economy I created financial plan based on original company premises and requirements. The results showed the unreality of the original plan. That´s why I created alternative financial plan where the area of incomes, net working capital and the area of personnel costs were modified.This plan was evaluated through the use of chosen financial analysis ratios. In the end I evaluated effectivity of whole investment and its riskiness by means of sensitivity analysis and break even analysis.

Further is there information about sources of investing the investments. In second chapter is description of company Skiareál Špindlerův Mlýn a.s. It's history, politics, ownership structure and economic analysis since floatation of the company. Third chapter is about company's environment, primarily about competition and customers. In fourth chapter I'm writing about sorts of investments and financial sources in praxis in company Skiareál a.s. There is analysis of the biggest investments of the company and there are plans of future development
