Linguistic and didactic interpretation of translation

This thesis is focused on the linguistic and didactic interpretation of translation. Its objective is to introduce the reader to the issues of language-focused findings, which are reflected in translators' work and besides, to describe the situation of didactic contribution of translation in second language teaching. The work is divided ino two main parts. In the first one, there is translators' work and his competences being presented on the ground of chosen linguistic theories. These are further extended by a practical part of description and analysis of translation methods. The whole thesis is being closed by the second part which mediates the didactic point of view of the given issue. The basic overview facts of actual situation of the use of translation in modern language classes are summarized in here.

The aim of this Master Thesis is to present an annotated literary translation of two chapters of the novella Vstrecha from Maxim Osipov's book, Grech zhalovatsya. The first part of this Master Thesis contains a translation of selected chapters from the novella Vstrecha. The second part, a commentary on the translation, includes information about the author and his work, style classification, the role of translation, vocabulary, intertextuality, characterization of translation methods, strategy of solving translation problems and typology of translation shifts.

Terminology of the new Civil Code regarding to property rights and analysis of equivalent expression in French

This bachelor thesis is focused on the introduction of the new Czech terminology of the new Civil Code regarding to the property rights. The main aim of this work is to analyse the selected terminology in the field of the law of property and search for possible legal equivalents in French. The secondary aim is to describe the basics of property rights in the Czech Republic and in France. The work is divided in a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part consists of two chapters. The first one, which was prepared with the expert sources, deals with legal language. It describes its attributes and pays great attention to lexical and syntactic characteristics of Czech and French legal language. The second chapter of the theoretical part focuses on traditional translation methods which are used in the translation of legal texts and on the problems associated with them. The practical part presents, in its first chapter, the new Civil Code and focuses especially on changes in property rights. The last chapter contains an analysis of relevant terms from the area of property rights and search for their equivalents in French legal language. Supplementary to this part is a Czech-French glossary and résumé in French.
Comparative analysis of the Czech and French justice and analysis of the relevant French legal terminology

The aim of this bachelor thesis is the analysis and consequent comparison of two different judicial systems; Czech and French one. Considering studies of the French language, the second part of the thesis is focused on analysis of selected French legal terms and deals with difficulties appearing when translating. The thesis is divided into five parts. The first part provides some basic information about the role of judicial power within the state which is based on principle of power division. The second part then gives an insight into comparison of particular legal bases of Czech and French justice. The third part deals with the history of judicial systems of both countries. The next part is crucial, because it describes in more detail the judicial organisation in the Czech republic and in France and highlights the main similarities and differences between them. The last part contains the analysis of the selected judicial terms. The bachelor thesis is concluded by the french résumé and French-Czech glossary.
