Home nursing procedures in newborn and baby skin care
GENGELOVÁ, Gabriela
Abstract Hygiene plays a very important role in our lives. It is often influenced by social, cultural, family and individual factors, as well as by knowledge about health and hygiene. The skin of a child is very soft and sensitive, and therefore requires careful and considerate care throughout the whole period of childhood, especially in the neonatal period and infancy. Skin care of newborns and infants is an essential attribute of the child?s health care. Such care is an individual matter, and it will always depend on family circumstances in which the child lives and on a suitable and proper approach of parents and physicians. The aim of this thesis was to determine the level of knowledge of mothers and the use of such knowledge in skin care of newborns and infants at home. The second objective was to prepare educational material for mothers. The thesis makes use of the questionnaire method. For this purpose, 274 questionnaires were collected. The questionnaire was distributed to mothers of newborns and infants, who take care of their skin at home. The investigation was carried out at pediatrics in the South Bohemian and Pilsen regions. The results of the research are introduced using graphs and some of the results are statistically evaluated by a chi-square test. Two hypotheses were set. Hypothesis 1: Mothers have enough information regarding the skin care of newborns and infants at home. Hypothesis 2: Mothers correctly use the acquired information about skin care of newborns and infants. We were successful in answering both hypotheses in the research study. The analysis and evaluation of the questionnaires shows that mothers are knowledgeable in treating skin of their children in the neonatal period and infancy. However, we managed to prove that some information of the parents is inconsistent with the literature. Therefore an educational material for mothers was created, focusing on skin care of newborns and infants. This educational booklet may be used at pediatric wards.

Nanoparticles in pharmaceutical technology : Biodegradable polymeric particles as the systems for drug targeting
Kovácsová, Dana ; Dittrich, Milan (advisor) ; Šnejdrová, Eva (referee)
ABSTRACT-EN Emulsion-solvent distribution method was used for the fabrication of nanoparticles with narrow distribution of size parameters. The nanoparticles were prepared from oligoester carriers with various constitution of molecule. Lecithine was successfully proved as emulsifier, its efficiency begins at lower concentration limit of 0.25 %. Efficiently act in emulsification process also blends with nonionic poloxamers and/or polysorbates. These substances was used alone, but only at concentrations under 1% concentration limit. Dichloromethane was also used as proper solvent for this purpose. As novel prospective solvent was used methylacetate. Nanoparticles prepared from methylformate solutions was of non-standard parameters.

Transdermal in vitro permeation of methoxytacrine IV.
Režňáková, Eva ; Doležal, Pavel (advisor) ; Musilová, Marie (referee)
Rigorosal Thesis 2006, Eva Režnáková Abstract The theoretical section summarizes information about Alzheimer's disease and drugs used for therapy and possible ways the passage of drugs through the skin structure. In vitro permeation experiments using skin samples from excised from pig showed that the samples of 7-metoxytacrine dispersed in TRIS-buffer and propylene glycol yields average fluxes of substantially lower values than the permeation of 7-metoxytacrine from isopropyl myristate vehicle. It was also shown to affect the enhancing transkarbam 12 and both from hydrophilic and lipophilic of the environment. But the acceleration effect of pyrrolidone has not been proved. Azone and transkarbam 12 appears as promising permeation enhancers from isopropyl myristate donor vehicle. In the case of permeation from TRIS-buffer and propylene glycol mixture only transkarbam 12 appears to be suitable accelerant.

Isolation of vacuoles from Scutellaria baicalensis Georgii suspension cultures
Ševčíková, Šárka ; Martin, Jan (advisor) ; Dušek, Jaroslav (referee)
10. ABSTRACT Šárka Ševčíková Charles University in Prague, Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové, Heyrovského 1203, 500 05 Hradec Králové Isolation of vacuoles from Scutellaria baicalensis Georgii suspension cultures Diploma thesis Supervisor: Pharm.Dr. Jan Martin, Ph.D. Page Count: 52 The goal of the thesis was to develop methodology for isolation of vacuoles from suspension cultures of Scutellaria baicalensis Georgii of the Lamiaceae family. The original concept was based on a method used at the Division of Pharmacognosy, Leiden University, Holland. This method proved unsuitable. After getting acquainted with available papers concerning methods of isolation of vacuoles from miscellaneous plant species and after performing a series of experiments, we have managed to introduce such method of our own which utilizes Ficoll gradient. Preexisting methods of isolation of vacuoles varied in data on lytic enzymes, incubation time, lytic solution composition and density gradient, too. We managed to optimize the individual steps, which led to successful isolation of vacuoles. The resulting method makes it possible to isolate vacuoles in a relatively short time and in sufficient quality for further experiments. The Role of High Representative for Bosnia and Herzegovina in its Postwar Reconstruction in between 1995-2002: Closing the "Capability-Expectations Gap"
Šitera, Daniel ; Králová, Kateřina (advisor) ; Tejchman, Miroslav (referee)
Bosnia has been an international protectorate for fifteen years after the end of civil war which was ravaging the country between 1992-1995. The protectorate was to originally give way to Bosnian growing sovereignty after one year since the end of civil war. Instead, the International Community started to increase its activity in the country via an expansion of the High Representative's capabilities (financial and military resources of the protectorate, High Representative's authority to take actions against Bosnia elected representatives, etc.). High Representative was ad hoc institution which was created to administer the international protectorate in Bosnia. At the end of 1997, High Representative received the so-called Bonn Powers which gave him authority to directly impose legislation and to dismiss Bosnian elected representatives. Any such usage of Bonn powers was justified as an effort to speed up Bosnia's stabilization and facilitate thus international departure from the country. However, Bosnia is destabilized country and international protectorate even in 2011. The usage of Bonn Powers proved to be wrong, since it could establish a Bosnian state minimally suitable to the international expectations, but it has at the same time failed to establish a Bosnian state suitable to the domestic...

Safe Harbour Concept in Transfer Pricing
Kolář, Michal ; Heřman, Jan (advisor) ; Dvořáček, Jiří (referee) ; Kapoun, Vítězslav (referee)
Tax administrations worldwide provide taxpayers with favour and offer them the opportunity to set up transfer pricing system according to pre-agreed criteria. When taxpayer´s system complies with, a tax administrator does not dispute the transaction. Any predefined arrangement leading to the recognition of transfer pricing system by the tax administrator can be defined as a safe harbour. It was found out during the review process of current sources, that there is no relevant research available focused on assessing the appropriateness of introducing safe harbour system for both businesses and government. At the same time, even the OECD does not work with data that would conclusively prove the impact of transfer pricing regulation on companies´ behaviour. For this reason, a research was conducted in this area with focus on the potential of safe harbour to affect tax contributions of enterprises. Financial data were rendered from Amadeus database. The impact of safe harbour system was observed on the time series development of taxation of particular cluster. Cluster analysis was selected as the most suitable method for grouping companies.

Forecast of revenue for municipal budget
Špelda, Miroslav ; Sedmihradská, Lucie (advisor) ; Hovorka, Petr (referee)
The main objective of this thesis is to analyze the quality of forecasts of tax revenues. Detail focuses on the town of Nachod, wherein by means of selected quantitative Methods I am trying to suggest potential estimate for tax revenues. Furthermore, based on publicly available data, analyze ten other similarly sized towns. Comparing prediction cities with the estimate of the Ministry of Finance and the reality. Based on these data, I am trying to prove or disprove the hypothesis that the city predicted earnings consistently underestimate, while the Ministry of Finance is overestimates. The results of the analysis of Nachod based on the possibility of more accurate predictions for income taxes using the method of exponential smoothing. For value added tax and land value tax, then using the method of average growth. The hypothesis can be confirmed only partially. Municipalities actually understate their income often. The Finance Ministry, however, in its prediction does not commit more frequent overstatement.

BIOFUELS - REASONS AND CONSEQUENCES OF ITS INTRODUCTION
Bogdanov, Igor ; Vostrovská, Zdenka (advisor) ; Munzi, Tomáš (referee)
The thesis aims to analyze the economic and environmental consequences of the regulation to mandatorily blend bio-components into the fuel and prove its inefficiency. The theoretical part summarizes in detail the reasons of introducing the regulation, including the legislative framework, and generational evolution of biofuels. The analytical part uses statistical analysis of time series and price and efficiency indices to evaluate the effectiveness of biofuels in relation to reducing greenhouse gas emissions. The impact of the introduction of biofuels on the economy is specified through fuel prices. The impact on engines as well as food prices and social environment is also mentioned.
