Support for Playing Board Games Demonstration on Mobile Platforms
Široký, Ondřej ; Kočí, Radek (referee) ; Zbořil, František (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to create a mobile application for the Android platform that will help the player determine the best possible move from  the captured image. The application identifies the game and extracts its current state by using OpenCV library functions. This information is then displayed to the user, who has the ability to manually adjust the game status if the game board is inaccurately read. Subsequently, the application uses the Minimax algorithm with Alpha-beta pruning to determine the best move and displays it to the user.
Linguistic image of woman in the magazine advertising in the yeares 1917 - 1930
Štumpf, Michal ; Šmejkalová, Martina (advisor) ; Holanová, Radka (referee)
68 14 Resumé in English This study is aimed on the image of women as it was perceived by advertising in magazines between 1917 and 1930. The focal points are lexemes: lady, mistress, housewife, a girl, ma'am, miss, household, parent, cook, mother, daughter, child. Their occurrences are statistically processed in the tables according to selected criteria, for example: whether the lexemes are developed by attribute or not. The obtained data are interpreted in the chapters which are divided according to ad focus on three sections: Decoration, Household, Family relationships. The conclusion is based on all of the data created by the image of women as perceived by contemporary advertising compared to what was required of traditional society. The conclusion of the study, including a shift in social values, is supported by a brief comparison of the results of this work, based on knowledge of the study Language image of women in advertising in the late 19th Century (Štumpf, M., RP, Charles University, 2008).
Manager for Board Games
Kusák, Jiří ; Jurka, Pavel (referee) ; Rozman, Jaroslav (advisor)
The main goal of this work is to design and realize an application for managing two programs playing against each other. At the beginning I'm discussing board games (especially their rules) and player's skill rating systems. Then there is short analysis of the actual situation in this area. Fundamental part of the work is the description of the designing and realization of the manager. After that there is short description how to control the application. In the end I'm evaluating achieved results and proposing additional directions for the program development.
Computer Game Based on MTD(f) Method
Janáček, Matej ; Lukáš, Roman (referee) ; Techet, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis demonstrates pros and cons of MTD(f) method on simple implementation of checkers game. Briefly describes differences between this and other methods used for the best move search in games.
Deterministic Games Playing with Learning
Knoflíček, Jakub ; Rozman, Jaroslav (referee) ; Zbořil, František (advisor)
This paper deals with creating artificial intelligence for computer player for deterministic games such as checkers. It's analyzed principle of idea and method for best move searching for a current game state in very large state space in combination with method reinforcement learning which allows us to evaluate individual game states. The paper also involves analysis of method for finding all possible moves in concrete implemented game checkers, concept of effective treatment with evaluated game states and mechanism alternate evaluating in case the absence any of them. At the end is final application going in collection of tests where is compared with competitive program and the achieved properties of methods searching best move and reinforcement learning are analyzed.
Checkers - like Network Game
Semerád, Lukáš ; Horáček, Petr (referee) ; Čermák, Martin (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is concerned with board game checkers. It summarizes the history and previous games. The thesis discusses the various versions of the rules that are played around the world. It also deals with the analysis of algorithms for a computer game. The result of this work is a program that allows the game two players, game via network and play against the computer. Also allows different setting default rules.
Chess Server
Bárczi, Viktor ; Trchalík, Roman (referee) ; Jirák, Ota (advisor)
This work deals with the creating, and solving the problem of a chess server. It is about creating a chess server wherewith people can play chess through the Internet or a local network and also on a PC. In the real world the construction of the informational system resembles chess games between two players. According to the basic rules of chess the control of the right movements, the analysis of special movements like taking a figure and also rooking, projection and the analysis of checks and mates on the king are solved. During the game statistics of the movements are kept and after the end of the game the performance of the players are calculated by the virtue of record and statistics are kept about the gained ELO (rating) points.
Manager for Board Games
Kouřil, Jan ; Zbořil, František (referee) ; Rozman, Jaroslav (advisor)
The main goal of this bachelor work was to remove errors from actual programming, to implement possibility of arranging different forms of tournaments and to add support for games gomoku, checkers, chess and go. It was also necessary to programm possibility of human play for better debugging of artificial intelligences, which are playing against each other in this manager. As a minor goal i would mention implementation of standard protocol in game gomoku, which supports connection for universal artificial intelligences. From begginning I discuss theoretical solutions of given problem, board games, their rules and algorithm proposal. Next, there is a summary of implementation and its realization. In the end posible extentions of manager  are  mentioned.
Desktop Game "Dáma"
Staněk, Ondřej ; Chmelař, Petr (referee) ; Kolář, Dušan (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis implements the draughts desktop game. Application allows to play according to different rules. It supports different ways of possible turns search of the player. One of them is the parallel computation.
Draughts Playing Robot
Štěrba, Ondřej ; Richter, Miloslav (referee) ; Štohl, Radek (advisor)
This thesis describes playing draughts game by 6 axis manipulator Lynxmotion AL5D controlled by ARM Cortex M3 MCU. It involves algorithms for image recognition, artificial intelligence and algorithms for controlling 6 axis manipulator in real-time.
