Faux amis in German and in English

This bachelor thesis deals with the topic "Faux amis in German and in English". This thesis is primarily focused on the semantic faux amis which could pupils in the Czech Republic meet with. The theoretical part defines the basic terminology related to so called false friends. Furthermore, the theoretical part clarifies the formation and classification of faux amis. The practical part contains the gathered semantic faux amis which are classified in the reference levels according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). The lists of faux amis of individual levels are in the practical part further analysed.

Biota of the flooded stone quarry near the village Hradec u Stodu: lokality utilization for education in the field

This thesis deals with a flooded stone quarry near the village Hradec u Stodu. This quarry is examined from historical, biological and educational point of view. The thesis contains informations about history, ecology and environmental conditions of the examined lokality, results of geological, faunistic and floristic investigation and suggestion on the utilization of this lokality for biology and geology education in the field; work sheets for pupils are completed too. Found organism photogalery is attached in appendices. DVD containing a thorough photodocumentation is also a part of this thesis.


The Development of Communication Skills in Education of a Foreign Language

The diploma thesis is focused on the topic of development of communication skills in education of foreign languages. The aim is to find out about ways how teachers develop communication skills and their feedback on pupils. The theoretical part concentrates on individual communicaton skills from the point of their content, process, development and assessment. It also deals with the language subskills which are inseparable from the language skills. The theoretical part further contains the question of categorization of a foreign language in the Framework Education Programme for Basic Education. In the practical part the author focuses on the results of the research which finds out the teachers´ and pupils´opinions of using communication skills in foreign languages. The research was accomplished by the method of a questionnaire and the results are in charts and graphs.

Zabývat se osobností jedince je nutností, která se vyplácí ohledně navázání komunikace Projektová výuka se jeví jako velmi vhodná a žádoucí i ve výtvarné výchově, poznatky jsou hlubší a rozsáhlejší. Configuration and verification of an one-year training plan of the netball played with ball kicked across / nohejbal / by the pupils´ team in PE association Trhové Sviny\\

The Purpose of the thesis is to configmate and verify a one-year traing plan for a pupils teams TJ Spartak in the town Trhové Sviny. The theoretical part is focused on the decription o playing activity of an individua, playing systems and playing combinations in the netball. The Practical part is focused on the training, determination o the targets for the one-year training plan, composicion and proceedings of the plan. For Verification of the obtained data we used a statistic Metod of pair test. After evatration of the results a hypothesis was accepted saying that in 2007 an efficiency increased in the observed activities.

Education Romany pupils during 1948-1989

V diplomové práci s názvem Vzdělávání ROMSKÝCH ŽÁKŮ V LETECH 1948- 1989 se zabývám problematikou vzdělání romských žáků v době, která se vyznačovala snahou Romy asimilovat. Diplomová práce je rozdělena do čtyř hlavních kapitol. V Úvodu seznamuji čtenáře s vymezením tématu a cílem práce, vymezením teoretické části a metodikou praktické části. Druhá kapitola je věnována teoretickým podkladům práce. V pěti podkapitolách postupně popisuji kulturní charakteristiky Romů, vývoj vztahu mezi majoritní společností a romskou minoritou, legislativní opatření daného období, která se vztahovala na Romy a obecnou problematiku školství a vzdělávání Romů v letech 1948 - 1989. Ve třetí kapitole se zaměřuji na konkrétní případ školy Míru v Květušíně, která vznikla pro děti Romů zaměstnaných ve vojenském újezdu Boletice. V rámci historické případové studie se zaměřuji na problematiku specifika vzdělávání romských žáků v této škole. Závěrečná část je zhodnocením teoretické i praktické části. Hlavním tématem této poslední kapitoly je rozbor otázky, zda je vhodnější přizpůsobovat výuku romským žákům, nebo romské žáky přizpůsobit požadavkům výuky, která je dána kulturou majoritní společnosti. Inquiry-based education in natural sciences

The first part of this bachelor work deals with international research projects in the field of scientific education TIMSS (Third international mathematics and science study), PISA (Programme for international student assessment) and ROSE (Relevance of science education). The second one focuses on activities of European Union which are concerned with lack of pupil's interest in natural science. Several references from European Union's research have been published in my work. The main purpose of this work is determine how inquiry-based approach could be put into practise. Another part of the work is about this way of education. Some European projects which apply inquiry-based approach to education are described in this part. In the last chapter I presented Czech project "3V" which uses this new approach in biology.

Testing Young English Language Learners

This diploma thesis deals with the theme of testing young learners in English. The thesis consists of two main parts - theoretical and practical. The theoretical part deals with testing as one form of assessment. Language skills and subskills are studied and Cambridge Young Learners English Tests are described there in detail. This part also tries to find out the answers to essential questions concerning testing. The practical part investigates how the preparation before CYLET tests and their taking influenced the existing level of pupil´s language skills. The second part also asks whether these tests motivate the students for their further development in English. The case study is based on a one-year observation, the results from questionnaires, and an interview with the teacher who prepared pupils for the exam. The thesis is finished by short essay titled: Why are CYLET tests so motivating?
