The project for the use regional inland waterway transport for tourism

The main aim of this thesis was to analyze evaluate the possibility of using regional inland waterway transport for tourism. The thesis dealt with the newly navigable Vltava in South Bohemia, which was part of the state project "Completion of Vltava waterway in the section Ceske Budejovice - Tyn nad Vltavou". It was elaborate the situation analysis and realization of own exploration by means of structured interviews and survey. Based on the obtained data were created proposals to improve current situation. The main contribution of this thesis is the efficient interconnection of these suggestions would significantly increase the attractiveness of the whole idea navigable Vltava river for tourism. The most important output of the thesis is the elaboration of the project "Modernization of steamers on the Vltava river in South Bohemia".

Propojení produktů BPM a BI

Interconnection between various types of IT systems used in an enterprise is crucial in these days. Most of companies are using many different kinds of applications in their daily running of the enterprise which leads to necessity of sharing data across those applications to enable all employees to make a right decision upon correct information. In my diploma thesis I deal with interconnection of two systems -- Business Process Management (BPM) and Business Intelligence (BI). Both systems belong to group of top IT systems with big influence on ongoing business and right decision making on all levels from operational to strategic. My paper contains theoretical as well as practical part of the solution for interconnection of BI and BPM systems. First part is about presenting and describing basic concepts and technologies which are used in process of integration of BI and BPM. At the beginning there is a short introduction to BPM, BI and SOA. Following part is including analysis of three major ways of interconnection between BI and BPM systems. Last part of the first theoretical section presents two products. IBM FileNet P8 representative of BPM system and IBM Cognos 8 BI as a representative of BI system. Second part deals with the practical example of real integration between BI and BPM systems. In first part of this section is simple description of the scenario -- business case. After that there is a detail depiction of two different kinds of integration of BI and BPM. Analysis of benefits, advantages and further possibilities are at the end of work.

Ernst Mach and Evolutionary Conception of Science

Mach's evolutionary conception of science is often neglected and did not received sufficient attention in the course of interpretation of his work. This article aims to emphasize such aspects of Mach's philosophy of science as his evolutionary epistemology, biological function of science, variable and historical character of all theorizing, theory laden character of observation and holism. All these aspects show that biological motives are substantial for Mach’s conception and that from this perspective it could be understood as a compact and logically interconnected system. This view suggests a more adequate interpretation of Mach‘s work and through the evolutional perspective understand him much more consistently.

The Programmes "Begin Together" (Začít spolu) and RWCT in one Classroom

This graduation thesis is focusing on the teaching programmes Start together and RWCT in teacher's class. Specifically it deals with their effective use in teaching and learning, analyzing both of them from the aspect of teaching goals, teaching methods and practice; searching for the ways and means how to combine them in the teaching process. To find out what is the appropriate usability of such interconnection the research is carried out into the curricula of the subjects in the class. Customer Valuation and Predication of Their Leaving in CeMF

Cílem práce je navrhnout systém hodnocení zákazníků a predikace jejich odchodu pro aplikaci CeMF společnosti Digital Resources. Navržený systém je základem pro vytvoření nadstavby typu Customer Intelligence pro řízení zákaznického portfolia. Cíle je dosaženo pomocí propojení Balanced Scorecard, Customer Relationship Managementu a principů Business Intelligence. Práce stanovuje 122 zákaznických ukazatelů ve 28 dimenzích a obsahuje i obecný návrh implementace pro Microsoft SQL Server 2005.
