EU Employment Policy and Its Impact on Labour Market in the Czech Republic

Employment policy is implemented through two forms. The first is a passive employment policy, consisting of tangible assurance of citizens at the time of their unemployment. However, states prefer an active employment policy in order to stimulate access to the labour force to change its own position on the labour market. The main priorities of the European Union is to increase an employee motivation to work. The bachelor's thesis deals with the description of the principal instruments such as the European Employment Strategy and the European Social Fund. In addition, it also deals with funding from the European Social Fund for the Czech Republic through specific projects, compared with other European country, by analysing tools of employment policy in the Czech Republic.
Analysis of labour market on Táborsko

Aim of this bachelor work is an analysis of a situation in a chosen region in CZ, especially job market, determination of factors which influence this market and suggestion of an action which would balance job offer and job demand. There will be defined problems, their solution or prevention and opportunities which can be expected on job market in Tábor region in the future. Studying of special literature was the first step during making this bachelor work. It was followed by getting statistical data, most often from Employment Office in Tábor and from Czech Statistical Office. The graphs and tables were made on the basis of this data. The work contains characteristic of Tábor region, unemployment analysis, number of unemloyed people and problem groups on the job market. Then there are mentioned main emloyers in Tábor region. Part of work is also dedicated to projects which are fellow-financed by EU. In the end there is SWOT analysis of strengths and weaknesses, oportunities and threats in Tábor region.
Social Policy of EU and comparing models of chosen countries

My thesis describes social policy of EU and compares social models of three countries - Germany, Denmark and Great Britain. I divided my work into five parts. In the first one I concentrate on history, tools and function of social policy. In other four parts I pay attention to employment policy, educational policy, pension systems and to poverty and social exclusion. In all these parts of social policy I compare activities of those three countries mentioned above.
Labour market and employment policy in the district of Frýdek-Místek

Main objective of this diploma thesis is the analysis of labour market and employment policy in the district of Frýdek-Místek. The theoretical part is focused on general issues connected with labour market and employment policy in Czech Republic. There is a current situation of the labour market in the district of Frýdek-Místek in the practical part. This part is mainly concerned with the active employment policy carried out by the employment bureau in Frýdek-Místek. At the end, there are suggested recommendations for positive change and human resources development in the labour market and active employment policy in the district of Frýdek-Místek.
Labour market policy in the Central Bohemia Region

In recent months, many developed economies has faced a sharp increase in unemployment. Such a massive rise always brings numerous adverse consequences for the society. In the first part of my bachelor thesis, I clarify the labour market functioning, then I explain the causes of unemployment in the Central Bohemia Region and try to find a solution to each type of unemployment in this region. The main objective of my work was to find a set of tools which would lead to a sustainable improvement in the central-Bohemian labour market.
The Fight of the Czech Republic against Unemployment with Help of the European Union

The aim of the thesis is to introduce and evaluate usage of instruments and arrangements which the Czech Republic keeps at disposal in fight with unemployment. That means not only the usage of national instruments but also arrangements of the European Union. The beginning of thesis describes the basic theory of unemployment. Next two parts address the employment policy of the Czech Republic and the European Union and introduce programs of the European Social Fund used in the Czech Republic. The next part analyzes development of unemployment in the Czech Republic from 1989 until the recent economic crises. The fifth part evaluates the usage of instruments of active employment policy, especially requalification, financial means from the European Social Fund and evaluates the realized project. The end of the thesis includes suggestions how to solve unemployment.
Germany as a welfare state in the context of EU social policy

The paper is discussing German social policy with an emphasis on labour market policy. The topic is set into the context of European social policy and European employment policy. The paper is divided into three parts. The first part informs the reader about European employment policy as a whole. It describes its evolution and targets specified by the European union. The second part is devoted to German labour market policy with an accent on the extensive reforms of the last years. Subsequently, the evaluation of these reforms and the current situation on the labour market in Germany are described. The last part is dealing with German labour market policy in the European context: German National reform programme and a comparative analysis with other member states of the EU. At the end of this chapter there are implications for the German labour market policy. The aim of this paper is to answer the question: How efficient is the German labour market policy comparing with other member states of the EU with regard to the target indicators of European employment policy? What direction is it heading and what are the possibilities of making it more efficient?
The impact of population aging on the labor market equilibrium in the Czech Republic

This document discusses the impact of aging on the labour market in the Czech Republic to examine the labour market situation and propose options for solving the consequences of aging. The theoretical part is introduced by two publications, in which is the impact of aging on the labour market based on the projection of the demographic changes in OECD countries by 2050. Next part of this paper focuses on the definition of basic demographic indicators. Afterwards, there are described approaches of international organizations to this problem. The analytical section begins with the demographic characteristics of the population in the Czech Republic, followed by the projection of future demographic trends. Then, the paper analyzes the situation on the labour market in the Czech Republic. The paper is closed up by the review of the labour market in the Czech Republic and by recommendations for the identified issues, which are divided into 4 parts, according to policy goals set in The Implementation Regional Strategy by United Nations.
Labour market analysis and solutions to unemployment in the Písek region

This paper concentrates on a labour market and an unemployment solution in the Písek county. The basic characteristics and division of unemployment, labour market and unemployment policy are described in the opening part. The following chapter is dedicated to a socioeconomical characteristic of the region. After these two chapters there follows the analytical part which is devided into 3 chapters. The first one focuses on a labour market in the Písek county, the offer of jobs and the enquire of them and available jobs. The chapter called "The unemployment int the Písek coutny" is dedicated mainly to a registred rate of unemployment then e.g. to a segmentation and a structure of enemployed and a development of a salary. The fifth chapter concentrates on the active policy of unemployment. The tools of policy and their use by a job office in Písek are described there. The last chapter is focused on the industrial zone in Písek, which employes most people in the whole region.
Lisbon Strategy - its current situation

The topic of my bachelor thesis is the current european problem - the Lisbon Strategy. I looked closer to her main goals and how they have been met so far. The beginning of my work talks about the first steps of the Lisbon strategy through her past situation and aims to the current situation and how its two main goals, economic growth and employment have been reached. Next, main part of the thesis deals with the macroeconomic and microeconomic indicators and monitors their values in compare with US and Japan The last part is devoted to the employment policy, where I decribe the main indicators, their progress connected with the future plans and predictions.
