Multicriteria games

Theory of multicriteria games is a special field of game theory, when one or more players have at least two payoff functions and want to maximize simultaneously. The work introduces a number of new findings. It examined the concept of finding equilibria in pure strategies in noncooperative multicriteria game. It is possible to find all the equilibria in pure strategies by full search and solving two linear programs for each point. Furthermore, two linear programs are formulated for verifying that a selected point is the equilibrium of the game or not. In the noncooperative games is also introduced the concept that with knowledge of the equilibrium of bimatrix game determines preferences of the players. Although finding the equilibrium point of the bimatrix game is nonlinear problem, finding the preferences is linear problem. The latest findings in the noncooperative games is a generalization of the concept that solves multicriteria game by assigning weights to each criterion of each player. The work demonstrates that it may not be necessarily linear weights, but it can be more general function that describes the player's preference. The remaining part is devoted to knowledge in cooperative games. There is considered that the players know their preferences and are able to express them by weights. The game with known preferences is defined and solved with the use of bargaining theory. Then it is generalized to a case where players have more payoff functions, from which they can choose. Finally, the multicriteria case of voting game is defined. It is designed completely new concept, which selects the winning coalition in the voting game. This concept is then applied to the real situation after the elections to the Chamber of Deputies in 2013.

Expert capacities of the Czech political parties: case study of defence policy

The thesis deals with marginally explored area of expert capacities of the Czech political parties with respect to the different organizational types of selected political parties and movements. The work aims to find out what expert capacities work for these types of political parties, how these experts are recruited in their position, whether it corresponds to their educational background and professional experiences with function, which are they holding in the expert authority. Work is elaborated in the form of case study, which focuses on the activities of defense policy expert commissions. The text is divided into two theoretical and one empirical chapters. The first chapter deals with the process of policy-making, its actors and activities associated with this process. The second chapter defines the various types of political parties first from the mainstream perspective (cadre, mass, catch-all parties), which complements the modern concept of business party and finally there is a typology of S. Wolinetz (office-seeking, vote-seeking, policy-seeking parties). The last empirical chapter presents the case study focused on four Czech political parties (TOP 09, KSČM, ČSSD and political movement ANO 2011) and their access to party expertise. The result of this work is to compare the level of analytical capacity across selected political parties/movements and testing of hypotheses formulated in the introduction of the thesis.

International trade with fresh fruit and vegetables

The main goal of my Master´s thesis is to evaluate dynamic environment of international trade with fresh fruit and vegetables. In the first part of my thesis I analyzed importance of the production of fresh fruit and vegetables for economies of selected countries. Next I had described the trade flows and patterns. In the second part I made a characterization of payment terms and trade negotiations in the context of international trade with fresh fruit and vegetables. Furthermore I made an analysis of import and export rules and regulations of the EU. Based on this analysis I came to general conclusions on the trade policies of countries and communities. In the last part of my thesis I applied findings from the previous parts on the analysis of two cases. The first analyzed case is the situation of imports of Chinese pomelo to the EU, with regards to maximal residue levels of pesticides. Second analyzed case is the situation of South African citruses imported to the EU, with regards to the problematic of citrus black spots.

Optimal production strategy of the chosen company in the area of mechanical engineering

The topic of this diploma thesis is "Optimal production strategy of the chosen company in the area of mechanical engineering" - namely the EUTECH join stock company, or more precisely its toolshop division, which deals with the manufacture of injection moulds, parts and production of special devices for aircraft industry. The aim of the paper is to evaluate, according to the defined factors, what is for the EUTECH join stock company more favourable - invest in purchase of the 5-Axis CNC machining center technology and deal with this process inside of the company or ensure this technology in cooperation with another companies. The thesis is divided into two main parts - theoretical and practical. In the theoretical part, the subjects of operation management theory and production are dealt with. The practical part deals with the production strategy of the EUTECH join stock company, or more precisely of its toolshop division in detail. The company is briefly introduced, the situational analysis of division toolshop is conducted and the production process of the company is examined. The final chapter deals with the use of cooperation in the toolshop division. The main and other factors affecting the choice of "product or sell" strategy are evaluated and consequently is decided which strategy is in case of the 5-Axis CNC machining center technology more favourable.

Corporate identity of cultural institutions

This thesis researches relationship between corporate identity and cultural environment. It explains and analyses key subjects such as graphic design, corporate image, corporate culture, corporate communication, corporate product, target group, symbol, brand, vision, mission etc. It is divided into three parts – first part contains definitions, second part contains analysis of two key studies – Na zábradlí Theatre and Josef Kajetán Tyl Theatre and then there’s third part, which merges the previous (theoretical and practical) into one, which should outline process of creating own brand identity. The last part is focused mostly on handling with corporate design. The thesis emphasizes necessity and reason of professional marketing approach to achieve rising brand equity and stable growth of any cultural corporation.

The Literary Works of G. Angiolini and J.-G. Noverre in the context of the 18th century

This dissertation offers a commented translation into Czech language of works written by two most important choreographers of the 18th century, Italian Gasparo Angiolini and French Jean-Georges Noverre. It is a selection of their most important texts where they develop an inovative aesthetics of the dramatic ballet – ballet en action. An introductory chapter about theatre aesthetics of the first half of the 18th century is included in the beginning of the work where I summarize the most important discussions of the period and topics that inspired the choreographers to their reform in the art of dance. Futhermore, a chapter refering to the sources for this work is attached to each commented translation.

THE BACCHAE, FAUST AND LADYBIRDS

This bachelor thesis focuses on themes like the collapse of the myth of God, crisis of faith and seeking God, as well as on way to stage them in a theatrical performance. The first part of this work tries to depict changes in a relationship between a man and God and their mutual combat. The chapter dealing with the cult of Dionysus shows a clash of the two fanaticisms; the religious and the rational one. The Faust chapter is concerned with the idea of free decision making and the difficulties and the possibility of a personal crisis this freedom might cause. The final chapter The Ladybirds opens the problematic of suffering of the innocent, which is the most common objection against the existence of God. The practical part of this work reflects on the school projects and the process of making. It also asks whether it is possible to stage themes like faith in one of the most atheistic nations in the world.

Family housing decision-making

This thesis is concerned with choosing the best and most real estate mortgage loans for family with children. The family should be chosen property near his residence momentary, then it should be recommended for this property the best mortgage loan. Selecting the property was affected by the demands of all family members and subsequent mortgage loans was selected from the products offered on the Czech market in November 2016. The thesis can be thematically divided into three main parts. The first part includes a literature search, which is divided into two areas. First described methods of multi-criteria decision making, which will be used in the decision making process. Along with these methods includes a literature review and theoretical part of the program area Super Decisions, which will be used in the practical part. Furthermore, theoretically they recognized concepts related to mortgage loans, according to which are then laid down criteria for assessing mortgage loans. The second part contains already a practical perspective on family issues, which therefore includes the selection of the best and most real estate mortgage loan program with the help of Super Decisions. The third part includes a summary of the work and the interpretation of results obtained through the program Super Decisions.

Otokar Březina and Charles Baudelaire: The metaphor of the light and the soul

This Diploma Thesis deals with the topic of the light and the soul in Charles Baudelaire and Otokar Březina in general. Then it concentrates on the particular motifs of the light and the soul and their metaphors. The main point of the Thesis is the poetic texts of both of the writers. The method used in this part is the literary and aesthetic analysis of the texts. Respect to the fact that it is focused on the comparative research, the following method used is the method of comparison which includes the charts with the frequency of the keywords in both of the authors and the enumerations which illustrate the issue of the present chapter. The aim of the Diploma Thesis is not only the comparison in the form and the interpretation but especially the determination of the similarities and the differences of the two poetic types within the framework of the present theme and the literary and historical context. Effect of snowpack on runoff generation during rain on snow event.

During a winter season, when snow covers the watershed, the frequency of rain-on-snow (ROS) events is still raising. ROS can cause severe natural hazards like floods or wet avalanches. Prediction of ROS effects is linked to better understanding of snowpack runoff dynamics and its composition. Deploying rainfall simulation together with hydrological tracers was tested as a convenient tool for this purpose. Overall 18 sprinkling experiments were conducted on snow featuring different initial conditions in mountainous regions over middle and western Europe.
Dye tracer brilliant blue (FCF) was used for flow regime determination, because it enables to visualise preferential paths and layers interface. Snowpack runoff composition was assessed by hydrograph separation method, which provided appropriate results with acceptable uncertainty. It was not possible to use concurrently these two techniques because of technical reasons, however it would extend our gained knowledge. Snowmelt water amount in the snowpack runoff was estimated by energy balance (EB) equation, which is very efficient but quality inputs demanding. This was also the reason, why EB was deployed within only single experiment.
Timing of snowpack runoff onset decrease mainly with the rain intensity. Initial snowpack properties like bulk density or wetness are less important for time of runoff generation compared to the rain intensity. On the other het when same rain intensity was applied, non-ripe snowpack featuring less bulk density created runoff faster than the ripe snowpack featuring higher bulk density. Snowpack runoff magnitude mainly depends on the snowpack initial saturation. Ripe snowpack with higher saturation enabled to generate higher cumulative runoff where contributed by max 50 %. In contrary, rainwater travelled through the non-ripe snowpack relatively fast and contributed runoff by approx. 80 %.
Runoff prediction was tested by deploying Richards equation included in SNOWPACK model. The model was modified using a dual-domain approach to better simulate snowpack runoff under preferential flow conditions. Presented approach demonstrated an improvement in all simulated aspects compared to the more traditional method when only matrix flow is considered.
