The Evolution of the Global Microchip Market
Srba, Lukáš Martin ; Bolotov, Ilya (advisor) ; Čajka, Radek (referee)
This thesis aims to explain the evolution and transformation of the microchip industry. It focuses on the changes and prediction of the future state including its causes and consequences. The analysis starts on the general description of the market and continues through its subjects ending on relationships between them. This serves as a source of information to the prediction in the final part of the thesis. In the beginning the products, which are taken into consideration in this work (namely CPUs, GPUs and APUs), are described. Following this, there is an analysis of the competition environment that defines a structure of the market upon which further work is based. (Three levels; the manufacturer of photolithographic machines, makers of the chips and their designers and OEM and aftermarket subjects.) The penultimate part defines the barriers to entry to this market and three categories are drawn up: economic, technical and geoeconomic, which are applied to every level of the market. Thus all prerequisites to a successful prediction are satisfied. In the last part of the thesis the prognosis is made and defined, along with its assumptions and limitations. In the concluding part of this work the consequences and results are summarized.

Height measurement in the northern area of mining areas Doubrava and Karviná Mines In 2016
Kajzar, Vlastimil ; Waclawik, Petr ; Staš, Lubomír
In the northern area of mining areas Doubrava and Karvina mines on the border RA Detmarovice and Doubrava are implemented, the mining activities. For this reason, in order to detect possible effects of the mine to the surface and surface objects twice a year height focuses, points in this area stable. From 2014 he was a contractor for these works chosen by the Institute of Geonics, v.v.i., Ostrava. In August and November 2016 survey conducted campaigns planned this year, during which it conducted a total of 4 highrise focus of inter-related leveling routes, which are formed by these points. Highrise points are stabilized in the area of interest in several ways - usually in steel design height marks on buildings, then as an iron bolt concreted in the ground or using nails driven into the concrete foundation or other alternative means. Distribution points in the area of interest is indicative captured in the map appendix. Existing trace and focus points are highlighted in green, yellow trace inaccessible points, refocused points in red and violet points that have occurred to their long term disablement or destruction. Each zaměřovaných points in order to trace the terrain carefully documented (GPS coordinates, photos, text description) and registered. These documents are available from the contractor.

The attitudes of christian orthodox traditionalists towards the church calendar and attempts at its reform
Kolář, Vojtěch ; Halík, Tomáš (referee) ; Lyčka, Milan (advisor)
The present thesis deals with the devotion and respect paid by the conservative Orthodox believers towards the Church Calendar which they adhere to. It follows their argumentation on several different levels. The historical exposition begins with the foundation of the Calendar and with the efforts to unite the dates of Pascha celebration. Then it proceeds to the Gregorian Calendar Reform in the 16th century, which broke the liturgical unity of Christendom. It ends with the change of the traditional Church Calendar by some of the local Orthodox churches in 1920s. The thesis focuses mainly on the objections of the traditionalists, who find the "New Style" unsuitable in the relation to the Canons of the Church and opposing the spirit of the Patristic tradition. A special attention is paid to the distortion of the liturgical order because of the new calendar which was introduced due to the ecumenical considerations. The main aim of the thesis is to understand the motivations of those who oppose the change of the Church Calendar - to ask, whether the Calendar requires astronomical accuracy, whether it necessarily expresses the unity of the Church and whether it has a deeper impact on the spiritual life of the Church and its faithful.

Effects of Spirulina platensis on the expression of endothelial NO synthase in apoE-deficient mouse model of atherosclerosis
Pešlová, Monika ; Nachtigal, Petr (advisor) ; Kopecký, Martin (referee)
1. ABSTRACT Spirulina platensis is a blue-green microalga belonging to the cyanobacteria family. Microalga is a large source of proteins and good fatty acid and other nutritional elements, for example iron, calcium, chromium, lithium, selenium. It also contains natural dyes chlorophyll, phycocyanin. Its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory were described. The aim of this thesis was to determine potencial hypolipidemic effects and potential effects on endothelium of Spirulina platensis in apoE-deficient mice. ApoE-deficient mice were fed standard diet for 2 weeks. At the age of 8 weeks the control group of animals were fed with the western type diet, which contained 21% fat and 0,15% cholesterol for 8 weeks. The same atherogenic diet was used in Spirulina platensis group, where Spirulina platensis was added to the atherogenic diet at the dosage of 20 mg per day. The biochemical analysis of lipid spectrum was done, area of atherosclerotic lesions was determined and imunohistochemical and stereological analysis of eNOS expression was performed as well. The results of this thesis showed positive effects of Spirulina platensis on cholesterol levels, VLDL and LDL cholesterol. Moreover stereological analysis of imunohischemical staining revealed that, that endotelial expression eNOS was significantly increased by...

Monitoring the effect of atorvastatin on the expression of endoglin / / and endothelial NO synthase (eNOS) in mouse model of atherosclerosis
Uhlárová, Iva ; Nachtigal, Petr (advisor) ; Štaud, František (referee)
Atherosclerosis, or sclerosis of arteries, is a degenerative disease of arteries. Sometimes it is called "the disease of 20th century". ApoE/LDL - receptor double knockout mice represent a new animal model for study of atherogenesis, which is characterized by severe hyperlipidaemia and atherosclerosis. Statins (or competitive inhibitors 3-hydroxyl-3-methyl-glutaryl-coenzym A-reductase) currently belong to the most efficient and the most useful hypolipidemic drugs for all over the world. They decrease mainly levels of total cholesterol and LDL cholesterol. The aim of this thesis was to describe the expression of endoglin in atherosclerotic plaques in apoE/LDL-receptor deficient mice. Moreover we wanted to determine endoglin colocalization with eNOS and the effect of atorvastatin treatment on the expression of both molecules. ApoE/LDLR-deficient mice on were subdivided into 2 groups. The control group of animals was fed with the western type diet. The same atherogenic diet was used in ATV group, where atorvastatin was added to the atherogenic diet at the dosage of 100 mg/kg per day. The results of this thesis confirmed the expression of endoglin in atherosclerotic lesions in ApoE/LDLR-deficient mice. The expression of endoglin was located on the aortic vascular endothelium and in other smaller...

Nuclear arms control, regulation and nuclear disarmament
Bříza, Vlastislav ; Ondřej, Jan (advisor) ; Šturma, Pavel (referee) ; Kozák, Kryštof (referee)
The dissertation concludes with the main points of the research and analyses in the above mentioned four pillars and also assesses the status of the efforts for nuclear arms control and nuclear disarmament in its whole history. However, the overall picture is a mixture of successes and failures and suggests that the only way to reach nuclear disarmament in a long way through step-by-step process that would also lead to reaching higher level of world peace and stability. However, even the idea of the world without nuclear weapons has its drawbacks as the dissertation tries to show. Especially with respect to change in the US administration in the early 2009 and its approach to nuclear disarmament, there also still remain many unanswered questions that are left for further research.

Analysis of the cytosol of thyroid gland and its contribution in the differential diagnosis of nodular lesions
Pikner, Richard ; Topolčan, Ondřej (advisor) ; Fínek, Jindřich (referee) ; Třeška, Vladislav (referee)
Thyroid nodules represent the most frequent endocrine lession in our population and it is neccessary to differentiate malignant lessions from them. The aim of the study was to validate determination of selected angiogenic, proliferative, and appptotic markers in cytosol tissue extracts. We analysed 166 tissue samples (85 goitres, benign adenomas and 10 malignat tumours in which VEGF, bFGF, Endostatin, Thymidinkinase ans TPS were determined. Main limitation of cytosolic analysis is tissue sample volume, that must be about 1cm3 and interindividual variability caused by tissue sample heterogeneity. Best way is to compare normal with pathological tissue samples from one patient. We fund significant differences amog histological groups in VEGF, bFGF, Endostatin and maily Tymidinkinase and TPS. These differences are not sufficiently huge to distinguish goitres and benign lessions . We also did not find any correlation between cytosolic markers and iminuhistochemistry markers . Cytosol analysis is not able to measure local expression and its differences in anylysed tissue, but it is able to quantitatively determine mean levels of selected markers.

Unsteadiness in sprays of effervescent atomizers
Beinstein, Zbyněk ; Volavý, Jaroslav (referee) ; Jedelský, Jan (advisor)
Master thesis focused on the research of the effervescent atomizers. Effervescent atomizers belong to a group of two-phase atomizers, which are often used in combustion applications. Right there in combustion applications, the degree of the stability sprays has a significant impact on combustion efficiency and exhaust gas emissions. The main aim of this work was to asses the level of spray unsteadiness depending on the atomizer design and its operating mode. The effect of construction was studied on the diameter and length of mixing chamber, and then on the size, number and location of aeration holes. Seventeen specific variants of the atomizer were constructed by different combinations of these design parameters. Each of these variants was measured in three operating modes, which were represented by a liquid pressure at the inlet to the atomizer and gas-to-liquid mass flow ratio (GLR). To evaluate the level of spray unsteadiness was used a methodology, which compares the ideal element´s distribution into the interparticle time bin, defined for the ideal (stable) spray, with the experimentally observed distribution. The laser measurement system P/DPA (Phase Doppler Particle Analyzer) was used to determine the experimental interparticle distribution. The result of the comparison of the ideal and the experimental distribution was the parameter , which expresses the level of spray unsteadiness for a specific atomizer and operating mode. With that parameter it was possible to compare the individual atomizers and determinate to the benefit of various construction´s correction of the atomizer. The results showed the recommendation for the modifications of the atomizer, creating a spray with a minimum level of spray´s unsteadiness. For the surveyed atomizer and his individual costruction´s variations the drawing was made.

Effects of nitrogen supply and drought on wheat grain quality under the ambient and elevated concentrations of carbon dioxide
Moravcová, Gabriela ; Vránová, Dana (referee) ; Hrstka, Miroslav (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with effects of nitrogen supply, drought and UV radiation on wheat grain quality under the ambient and elevated concentrations of carbon dioxide. The theoretical part deals with the global climate changes, greenhouse gases and especially with effects of elevated concentrations of carbon dioxide on plants. Also, it is dealt with effects of elevated concentrations of carbon dioxide on the wheat grain quality. In the experimental part nitrogen content by the Kjeldahl method, contents of dry and wet gluten, Zeleny test, falling number and content of starch in the wheat samples were determined. The results of this study confirmed affecting the quality of the wheat grain from the elevated concentrations of CO2, nitrogen fertilization, drought and UV radiation. The most evident was the influence of nitrogen nutrition, fertilization positively affected the quality of grain, there was an increase in content of crude protein, gluten content, value of Zeleny sedimentation test, and falling number. As a result of the increase in protein content was also a decrease in starch content. Due to increased levels of carbon dioxide protein content and gluten, Zeleny sedimentation test values and falling number decreased and conversely starch content increased. The decrease of Zeleny sedimentation test by the influence of elevated CO2 concentration was fully compensated by nitrogen fertilization.
