Impact on life quality in patients with vitiligo
MALČICOVÁ, Jana
This bachelor thesis focuses on vitiligo and its impact on the life quality of patients suffering the disease. Vitiligo is a relatively frequent acquired disorder which causes depigmentation of parts of the skin. The depigmented spots can be of different shapes and extent. Vitiligo is a chronic disease process and the actual cause of the disease is still unknown. One of the presumable causes is the immune system; this is why it is not easily cured. The treatment is a long-term process and requires great patience from both the patient and the medical team. Vitiligo is a major problem for the patient as it disturbs their physical appearance and thus influences the psychological well being of the patient; so vitiligo can also have a psychosocial impact. In our research we set two main goals. The first of them was to define the role of nurses in the treatment of vitiligo. The other goal was to enquire about the impact of vitiligo on the life quality of the patients. For the research we formulated two questions: 1.What is the role of a nurse in the treatment of a vitiligo patient? 2. What is the impact of vitiligo on the life quality of the patient? For the empirical part of the bachelor thesis we used a qualitative research method based on a semi-structured interview. The first interrogated group consisted of four nurses from the South Bohemian and the South Moravian region; these nurses work in dermatology centres that offer phototherapeutic treatment. The other group comprised patients suffering vitiligo; we interviewed three patients from Austria and one patient from the Czech Republic. The respondents suffering from vitiligo were also to complete a Dermatological Index of Life Quality questionnaire. The questionnaire was then evaluated according to a key and the results were filled into a chart. The interviews consisted of 18 questions for the vitiligo patients and 10 questions for the caring nurses. The interviews were recorded on a dictaphone and later written down and brought into a Word document. For the evaluation of the data we used the open coding method using a pencil and paper. After the data analysis we defined the following categories: The Role of Nurses with the subcategory Alterations to the Role of Nurses, category Psychological Support with subcategories Attitude of Nurses, Psychical Needs of Patients, Alterations in Psychical Condition of the Patient, category Reaction to Detection of Vitiligo with the subcategories Reaction of the Patient, Reaction of Patient´s Environment, category Psychological Problems with the subcategories Patients´ Feelings and Solution to the Problems, category First Visit to the Doctor and category Significance of Vitiligo. The research suggests that the most important aspect of the nurses´ help during the patient´s treatment is the educational aspect. The other aspects are in the opinion of our respondents the health care providing aspect, and the help of a nurse as a manager. The evaluation of the life quality questionnaire brought the following results: two respondents saw only a small impact of the disease on their life quality. One respondent stated a slightly worsened quality of life and in one of the respondents the life quality was worsened significantly. According to the interviews, the vitiligo patients are slightly restrained during activities when exposed to sun due to an easy sunburnt. None of the respondents stated an influence on their relationships or hobbies. Two respondents mentioned worries concerning finding a partner and establishing a family. Our research showed that the greatest impact of vitiligo is on the psyche of the patient. Thus we assume that a psychological support should be an essential component of the treatment. I would like to present the results of this bachelor thesis as a review in some professional magazine. I would also be glad if the thesis could be an inspiration to a quantitative research on the topic.

Kompaktní objekty v kategoriích modulů

Title: Compact objects in categories of modules Author: Peter Kálnai Department: Department of Algebra Supervisor: Mgr. Jan Žemlička, Ph.D., Department of Algebra Abstract: In the thesis we state baic properties of compact objects in various appropriate categories like categories of modules, stable factor category over a perfect ring and Grothendieck categories. We find a ring R such that the class of dually slender R-modules is closed under direct products under some set-theoretic assumption. Finally, we characterize the conditions, when countably generat- ed projective modules are finitely generated, expressed by their Grothendieck monoid. Keywords: compact, dually slender module, stable module category, projective module, self-small

3D FDM printer Rebel II and parameters of print
Pištek, Patrik ; Zouhar, Jan (referee) ; Zemčík, Oskar (advisor)
This work deals with a RepRap 3D printer. The introductory chapter describes rebuilding, the reason of the rebuilding and basic components of a 3D printer. The following is a selection of lesser-used materials PETG and nylon. The individual chapters summarized reviews of experimental studies and the types of samples used in the testing of similar machines. Based on this information the author design size and shape of the sample for the second experiment, chosed relevant technological parameters and proposed plan of the experiments. Investigated parameters are temperature of the nozzle and printing speed. Experimental part of this work includes two experiments. In the first experiment, thin-walled objects by width of a single fiber were printed. The surface quality of the fibers was observed under a microscope. The second experiment evaluated the dimensional variations of the samples in dependence on the aforementioned parameters. Samples were scanned at the office 2D scanner and arithmetic mean of surface roughness Ra was measured by roughness meter on the side and top wall of the samples. The results and recommendations of the author are summarized in separate sections. The temperature and speed affected the quality of the surface of extruded fibers. The effect of temperature on the quality of the bond between the fibers has been significant. Print speed heavily influences the dimensional accuracy and deformation of geometric elements of the sample. The effect of temperature on dimensional accuracy was much less pronounced. In discussion part are expressed some ideas for future experiments. The conclusion summarizes all the gains of this work.

The Thangkas - Tibetian Paintings with a Story
Gyaltso, Lenka ; Czumalo, Vladimír (advisor) ; Bělka, Luboš (referee)
Thangkas are Tibetan paintings which can be explained in many different points of view. Their meaning is different for Buddhist practitioners, painters, collecters, arts historians or researchers. This thesis should introduce the variaty of perspectives. The composition of the painting is given by the patron, artist or follows the Buddhist sacred scripts. Preparing the base, drawing, using colour pigments, outlining and doing final details belong to the process done by the master himself or partially by his students or monk or layman helpers. For impowering the thangka for the Buddhist praxis is necessary to do a sacrification ceremony by an educated monk. It is a religious and also social event connected with the painting. Thangkas are then used for the visualisation of figures of the Tibetan pantheon, mostly peaceful and wrathful deities. They are used in the monasteries, temples, home shrines or altars, are part of Buddhist ceremonies and festivals shown to the audience hung on the terraces or carried by the monks. Their vivid topics and colours encharme not only monks and lamas but also laymen. The expression differs according to local schools influenced by artists of Kashimiri, Bengali, Nepalese or Chinese origin. Tibetan painting style was probably created in the second half of 15th century...

Methodology of digitizing, 3D documentation and 3D visualization of the various types of monuments
Brůna, Vladimír ; Větrovská, Barbora ; Marek, Zdeněk ; Brejcha, Marcel ; Frouz, Martin ; Frouzová, Martina
The objective of the methodology was to cover the field of spatial digitization only partially, and for this reason it was narrowed to the leading method of 3D laser terrestrial scanning, broadly used for large objects such as castles, churches, villas, constructions, stone sculptural objects such as statues, coat of arms, cornice. It is aimed at the researchers and institutions in the field of the cultural heritage protection, the prominent of which is the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic, the National Heritage Institute, bodies of the national heritage care, universities and high schools with accredited subjects in documentation of monuments and museums and art galleries.

Settlement of Žatec in the second half of 9th and on the beginning of the 10th century

Karlín in the Changes of Time
Svobodová, Zuzana ; Dvořáková, Markéta (referee) ; Županič, Jan (advisor)
This work deals with the dynamically developing Prague district Karlín. It is conceived as a tour through this district while stopping at interesting places that come after the general introduction to the history of the district. The first stop is the Museum of Prague capital city. Then, the other steps are heading to other important historical as well as industrial constructions the most important of which are the Negrelli Viaduct, the Music Theatre, St. Charles Boromeus chapel, the St. Cyril and Metoděj church, the former Karlín Town Hall and industrial estates in the Křižíková, Thámová and Sokolovská street, the primary school in the Lyčkovo square, the National house, Invalides house, the new administrative buildings in the Rohan island or the Hilton hotel. While writing this thesis, I was largely inspired by the Czech TV programme "Šumná města" In compliance with the mentionned TV production, this work aims to become something more than a boring list of data. It is in fact a coordinated tour that focus on selected entities confronted with the march of time. Each chapter is prologued by verses that are to represent the real inside of what is going to be described. This work aims to present the Karlín district and its development throughout covering the beginnings and the present time as well. The...

New Synagogue in Brno
Husslíková, Petra ; Velek, Jan (referee) ; Dulenčín, Juraj (advisor)
The presented diploma thesis was elaborated as an architectural study of a new synagogue in Brno according to the assignment. The goal of the thesis was to design the architectural proposal of the synagogue as well as of the new centre for the Jewish community and Jewish museum. The Jewish community in Brno is a closed community. The aim was to create a place for members of the Jewish community which would be separated from the public space. The proposal is divided into two parts, the museum with public space and the buildings of the Jewish community. The Jewish community area consists of the kosher restaurant, offices, library, community hall, mikveh ritual bath, synagogue and garden. The suggested structural organization enabled to separate public space of Jewish museum from the internal private area for the Jewish community while keeping the overall integrity of the venue.
