Level of movement skills of rhytmic and artistic gymnastics competitors
Slováčková, Anna ; Hájková, Jana (advisor) ; Panská, Šárka (referee)
The aim of the bachelor thesis is to determine and compare the level of movement abilities of female athletes in artistic and rhytmic gymnastics. It is divided into two parts, namely the theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part deals with a brief description of gymnastics, focusing on artistic and rhytmic gymnastics, giving an overview of their structure and components of sports performance. It includes a definition of all movement abilities and a description of motor tests. In the practical part, the testing method was used, namely the UNIFITTEST (6-60) together with a holistic motor test (Jacík's test) and then statistical methods. The motor abilities of artistic and rhytmic gymnasts aged 8-11 years were tested. The clubs GYMPRA Gymnastická akademie Praha and SK MG Chodov Praha were approached for the measurement. The measured results show that artistic gymnasts have a better level of movement abilities, because they achieved a better level in the three tests than rhytmic gymnasts. For the all-round development of a child, both are equally suitable choices and the choice of artistic or rhytmic gymnastics depends on the individual's preference.
Level of the condition ability of professional football players.
Kavalová, Natálie ; Pokorný, Ladislav (advisor) ; Chrástková, Martina (referee)
The main aim of this thesis is to determine the level of speed and endurance skills in professional female football players of AC Sparta Praha. The sub-objective is to compare the results obtained in the selected fitness tests in terms of the playing position of the players. For the research we have chosen five field tests suitable for the verification of fitness in the field of speed and endurance abilities in male and female football players. These are the 10-meter sprint test, 20-meter sprint test, K-test, BUMAZA test and YoYo Intermittent Recovery Test 1, in addition to the YoYo test, Brower Timing photocells with an accuracy of 0.01 seconds were used for measurement. The test set consisted of 21 female soccer players of the AC Sparta Praha team without the participation of goalkeepers. The testing took place in an indoor hall with artificial grass surface at TCM Strahov. The results showed very good fitness parameters of all players. In the linear speed tests we found out that it is not always a rule that the best results in the 10m sprint are achieved by the same players as in the 20m sprint. We looked in more detail at the comparison of the fitness level of different playing positions. The results of the BUMAZA test, which focuses exclusively on speed endurance, showed that female players at...
Vliv správného dechového stereotypu na výkon u vytrvalostních běžců
HEJLÍK, Richard
The bachelor thesis provides insight into the issue of breathing stereotype and examines its effect on the performance in endurance runners. The theoretical part of the thesis contains two parts and collects knowledge related to the given issue. The first part focuses on breathing, breathing stereotype, physiology of the respiratory system and breathing control. The second part contains chapters about the history of running, kinesiology of running, running mechanics, running technique and breathing technique during running. The practical part deals with research aimed at improving the breathing stereotype in endurance runners through the intervention of breathing exercises and then determine the change effect of their endurance performance. The research group was consisted of 3 endurance runners aged 19 to 21 years. Their task was to complete training units prepared by me consisting of breathing exercises for 6 to 7 weeks. The evaluation was based on a comparison of the initial and final examination. Initial and final examinations includes kinesiological analysis, spirometric examination, stress spiroergometric examination, Stange´s test and exspiratory apnoeic pause test. The outcome of the research was the detection of positive changes in breathing stereotype in runners. Performance indicators improved in two of the three runners, while ventilation indicators remained without any significant changes. From the results, the effect of changing breathing stereotype on performance in endurance runners cannot be demonstrated. However, it cannot be excluded either. Further research on a larger scale is important to refine the results and identify new findings. It is also necessary to eliminate mistakes and adjust the methodological procedure of the research. If positive results are confirmed, breathing exercises could be incorporated into running training.
Příčiny eliminace koní ve vytrvalostních soutěžích a jejich prevence
ŠVARCOVÁ, Jana
The aim of this work was to acquire, process and evaluate information about the most common reasons for the elimination of horses from endurance competition races in the Czech Republic. Information about the veterinary status of horses was obtained from the main judges of various horse races held in the Czech Republic, from the horses' endurance cards, which record the factors evaluated during the competition itself, and where it is possible to find out what worsens most often, and how the cause manifests itself. Veterinary cards of individual horses and races were chosen randomly. The veterinary cards were evaluated with the aid of a full text commentary, giving detailed descriptions of each worsened factor, including their frequency. It was then suggested how problems could be avoided. Individual data was summarized, and the differences between individual groups of competitions were expressed. Based on the analysis of veterinary cards from participating horses in endurance competitions, recommendations were made on how to prevent problems, and what specific problems the riders should consider during the race. The most serious and common problems of horses in terms of endurance are described. It was found that the most common reason for the worsening of horses in endurance races is the factor known in Czech as "Chody", or Lameness. The most frequent deteriorating factor in veterinary controls was with the Mucous Membrane. In more than 80% of horses, more than two factors worsened during the race, which did not improve during the race in any way, but often even worsened. Many factors affect deterioration, from training and preparation of the horse, to the knowledge of the horse itself. The results show that most riders in the Czech Republic are not sufficiently informed. There is insufficient care for horses during endurance races. The riders are not experienced enough to prevent injuries or deterioration of the horse's health resulting in exclusion from races.
Analysis of several-year preparation of endurance runner
ŠTEFAN, Rostislav
The aim of our bachelor thesis is to analyze multi-year annual cycles of endurance runner at the level of the best Czech runners. Specifically, we analyzed the competitor's diaries from the 2012/2013 season to the 2016/2017 season. Based on the evaluation of the training diaries and the results of the competitor, we had a task to identify the causes of the performance improvement and then find possible reserves in the training, we also had to suggest changes in the training plan leading to an increase of performance. To evaluate the data we used content analysis. We also used the comparative method for data processing. In the analytical part, we were examining individual training indicators and performance curves of the athlete. The most important endpoints were the training indicators, the runner's resulting times, and the VO2max values, which increased from a baseline of 65 ml?min-1?kg-1 to a maximum value of 85 ml?min-1?kg-1. In most cases, our results show an increase in performance associated with an increase in training load during tracking.
Effect of menstrual cycle on performance of women in sport
Růžičková, Kristýna ; Vojtíková, Lenka (advisor) ; Panská, Šárka (referee)
The diploma thesis discusses the possibilities of negative and positive influences on women's menstrual cycle concerning women's performance in sports. The aim of the thesis is to help spread awareness about the mentioned issue and also inspire coaches to be more cautious about this topic while training women. The theoretical part describes the physiological processes of a women's menstrual cycle, hormonal system, and the impact of the menstrual cycle's phases on women's performance in sports. The thesis further analyses the difference between the two menstrual cycle phases in particular endurance performance. The results were completed by adding a poll that focused on personal feelings during testing and in general, the impact of the menstrual cycle regarding sports activities.

Title: Effect of caffeine on finger flexor performance in sport climbers. Objectives: The goal of this work was to assess the effect of caffeine on the performance of the finger flexors during the all-out test in sports climbers. Another goal was to determine maximal strength in measured participants. Methods: 8 climbers (7 in the age 20-25 and one 34 years old) completed 3 experimental conditions during three laboratory visits to evaluate the effect of caffeine on finger flexor performance. The first was a control measurement and then, in random order, caffeine in the amount of 5mg/kg and placebo. Participants did a maximal strength test, a force gradient test and a 4-minute all-out test. Results: The maximum force reached an average of 49,0 kg during the control measurement, the total force impulse was 3889.6 kg.s, the critical force was 16,6 kg and the fatigue index was 68 %. After caffeine supplementation, the maximum strength values changed to 50,6 kg on average, for the force impulse to 3898,5 kg.s, the critical strength reached 15,7 kg and the fatigue index 69,1 %. The standard deviation of maximal strength shifted from 9,4 kg to 9,5 kg, the total force impulse from 684,4 kg.s to 717,5 kg.s, the critical force from 4,0 kg to 5,1 kg and the index fatigue from 6,2 % to 7,4 %. Matoušek, Ondřej ; Maleček, Jan (advisor) ; Vágner, Michal (referee)
Title: Endurance skills and their testing in a military: a systematic review Aim: This thesis aims to create an overview of the frequency of tests used to test long-term, total and dynamic endurance in military personnel based on a systematic search of scientific publications. Methods: A systematic search method was used to create this bachelor thesis, based on a referred selection of items according to PRISMA recommendations. After defining the research question and objectives of the thesis, a search script was constructed through predefined keywords in the bibliographic and citation databases Web of Science, Scopus and PubMed. Studies that met the predefined criteria were used for data processing and subsequent synthesis. Lastly, studies underwent a methodological quality assessment. Results: The most commonly used test evaluated was the 3.2 km run, which included 44 of the 131 studies included in this systematic review. This is primarily due to the numerous representation of studies from the USA and their Army APFT test. The next most frequently used test evaluated was loaded marching, which may have a more significant transfer to the military context. The most common distance was also 3.2 km, found in 19 of 131 sources, with a relatively diverse range of loads (15 - 44.7 kg), with the most...
