In this thesis are presented available solutions for reducing energy losses and the cost of heating a detached house. Theoretical calculations according to EN 12831 covered heat loss and consequently proposed a number of possible solutions to save costs of heating a detached house and their economical evaluation and return on investment.

In the first part there is the characteristic of natural gas used as a fuel, dividing of gas boilers, description of gas boilers an description of the main parts of gas boilers. In the second part there are compared two different houses with different gas boilers from the economic point of view.
Energy assessment - switching to a renewable energy source

The objective of the master's thesis was to assess the replacement of a heat source with an alternative source using renewable energy. The subject of the energy assess-ment was an apartment building, where gas condensing boilers were replaced with a heat pump. The theoretical part dealt with legislation on energy management. It thor-oughly discusses the law of energy management and its means for reducing intensity and increasing the efficiency of resource utilization. It separately addresses legal regu-lation for energy performance certification and energy assessment. Computational part is focused of defining boundary conditions and calculating the energy intensity of build-ing. Further, it proposes measures for technical-energy, economic and ecological per-spective. In the last part, there is a processed energy assessment, according to the rele-vant legal regulations. The energy assessment evaluates the suitability of implementing the proposed cost-saving measures. In the appendices of the thesis, there are graphical models of technical room before and after the implementation of the measures.
Reconstruction of a School building heating system

This master's thesis pertains to designing a new heating system in secondary grammar school's building in the city of Vlašim. The old heating system is going to be replaced completely for a new system consisting of panel radiators and distribution piping network made of copper. Thesis includes technical description of old heating system and building itself, calculating of suggested heat efficiency using calculation software TechCON, selection of new panel radiators and appropriate dimensions of piping network , calculation and regulation of pressure losses, description of heat source and inspection of its safety components - expansion vessel and safety valve, determination of system for measurement and regulation as well as calculation of equithermal curves of this system. Last but not least total usage of heat is calculated. Blueprints of heating system are included as well.
Heating of low-energy houses

Low-energy houses are becoming more common and requested. This work describes possibilities and various ways of space heating in such houses. It also analyses specific energy sources, their availability as well as an environmental impact. The work includes a design of heating for a display low-energy house.
Design of heating system of office building

This master’s thesis deals with the design of the heating system and hot water heating for the office building of the office of the Brno-Líšeň Municipality. It is divided into three parts. The first theoretical part deals with a brief division and analysis of heat sources for buildings from economic side. The second calculation part deals with the design of the heating system in 2 variants. These consist of the design and calculations of heat losses, dimensioning of the heating system, preparation of hot water, design of the heat source and other components. In the first variant, the design of central heating is solved using the most commonly used panel heating elements. In the second variant, the design is solved using design tube radiators. The last part of the diploma thesis is devoted to the design and analysis of heat sources for heating, using the Energetika software. Their comparison from an economic point of view as well as from an ecological point of view.
Design of heating system of office building

The diploma thesis aims to design a heating system in an administrative building and also to create a simulation for this building. The theoretical part describes simulation programs dealing with energy demand and monitoring the internal parameters of the inner climate. The calculation part solves the heating system's design in two heat source variants – a heat pump and a gas condensing boiler. In the last part, there is a model of the building created in WUFI Plus and the simulations are described under different input condition boundaries.
