The main goal of my bachelor thesis is to examine the economic and investment situation of the Russian Federation and to analyze mutual cooperation with its main trade partners. The first chapter of the thesis provides general information on Russian economic situation nowadays in order to show the level of economic development of the country. The second chapter describes Russian trade structure with the principal partners, describing mutual cooperation, agreements, and issues.The third chapter presents the foreign direct investment flows and stocks of the Russian Federation.

International trade of the Czech Republic with the Russian Federation

The aim of this thesis is to analyse international trade of the Czech Republic with the Russian Federation. There were important trade and historical connections between those two countries in the past. Since the new century, the trade balance of the Czech Republic and Russia had been growing and the breaking point came in 2008, when the economic crisis stroke and continued with the imposition of sanctions on the international trade of the Russian Federation. The evolution of both countries till 1990s is characterized in the introductory part. The next part describes the evolution of the last ten years. The third chapter concentrates specifically on sanctions, their cause and their impact on the Russian economy. The last chapter contains the prediction of future economic progress and the impact on the progress not only of those two nations.

The role of enlargement in the relations between the Russian Federation and NATO

This particular work deals with the process of expansion by the North Atlantic Alliance in view of the theory of balance of power and the relationship between Russia and NATO. The author of the work draws on assumption that NATO's expansions, that have followed the end of the cold war, strengthen NATO's might, to which Russia must react to counter the growing power of the potential adversary. This work is divided into two main thematic parts. The first part regards the three waves of the expansion which followed the breakup of the Soviet Union (1999, 2004, and 2009); therein, the author analyzes NATO's strengthening on the military, political and geopolitical levels. The second part of the work is devoted to unveiling of Russia's potential counterbalancing steps. The Russian attempt to counterbalance the NATO's moves, of course, has also been analyzed within three frames - military, political and geopolitical. The analysis of the counterbalancing by Russia, as well as the strengthening of NATO is presented within the frame defined by five year periods. Human Rights Commissioner of the Russian Federation (Ombudsman)

The aim of this diploma thesis called The Human Rights Commissioner of the Russian Federation is to provide a comprehensive insight into the formation and development process of the institute of the human rights commissioner by means of description and analysis. At the same time, it attempts to facilitate a better understanding of this institute inside the Russian social system. The opening section defines the institute of ombudsman from the historical and theoretical point of view and puts it in the post-Soviet context. The following section touches on the key legislation related to this institute in the Russian Federation and on the way it was formed and embedded in Russia. A separate chapter addresses the competences and specific tasks of the public defender of rights. This chapter is supported by annual reports issued by the Russian ombudsman's office. The last section of the thesis deals with the relationship between the ombudsman, the Russian establishment and non-governmental human rights organizations. The relationship is defined theoretically and illustrated by practical examples and specific cases. The main objective of this bachelor thesis entitled 'The Level of the Protection of Human Rights in the Russian Federation' is to describe and analyse the current situation of the protection of human rights and freedoms in the Russian Federation. At the same time, it tries to find answers to the question, what is the level of the protection of human rights in this country? After the more general interpretation of the concept of human rights and an overview of the development of human rights in the Russian Federation, the thesis concentrates on the issue of the Russian substantive and procedural law of human rights. The following is a list of state, non-governmental and international organizations, centers, and clubs dealing with the protection of human rights. In the final chapter are pointed out flagrant violations of human rights. To illustrate human rights abuses, specific cases are also documented. The aim of the master's thesis is to find out the position of the Russsian Federation in the Eurasian Economic Union. The first chapter focuses on theoretical definition of the integration process, history of the Eurasian Economic Union, and theoretical definition of analysis which is used in the second part of the thesis. The second chapter researches the position of the Russian Federation in the Eurasian Economic Union. The objective of the third chapter is point out chosen characteristics of the Russian economy.

Tato diplomová práce pojednává o politických, ekonomických a především sociálně-kulturních aspektech, které mají vliv na mezinárodní obchod, organizace a marketing týkající se Ruské federace, jež jsou dány do kontextu zejména s Českou republikou (eventuálně jinými relevantními státy). Cílem mé práce je nalézt překážky v obchodu s Ruskou federací a způsob jakým je možné je překonat. Důraz primárního výzkumu mé práce bude kladen na interkulturní složku, konkrétně na rozdíly v organizačním chování a chování spotřebitele. Zaměřím se na specifický profil potenciálních účastníků v oblastech marketingu a obchodu. Zohledním také znalosti z nashromážděných dat o politicko-ekonomickém prostředí zemí. Použitím vybrané metodologie rozšířím teoretické podklady a sekundární výzkum o nové poznatky a v širším kontextu vyvodím závěry a návrhy pro optimalizaci bariér, kterým firmy jsou rozšiřující pole působnosti do Ruska vystaveny a jimž mohou čelit.

Pharmaceutical Market in the Russian Federation and Investment Possibilities of Block, Inc.

The aim of this thesis is to describe the present situation on the Russian pharmaceutical market under the influence of the sanctions. The bachelor thesis is divided into three main chapters. The first chapter is dedicated to distribution of drugs according to the international health standards. Furthermore, there is comparison between the Russian pharmaceutical market and other markets and at the end of the chapter the structure of the market is analysed. The second chapter compares global and Russian producers, analysing five key manufacturers acting on the Russian market. State regulation is an integral part of the pharmaceutical market of every country, which is the last subchapter of this thesis. In the final chapter company Block, Inc., which produces clean rooms, especially for the pharmaceutical industry and the health sector, is introduced. At the end Block competitors are unveiled and opportunities and threats on the Russian pharmaceutical market and influence of the sanctions to the all industry are described.
