TITLE: Influence of swimming on increasing flexibility as a component of the desterity of primary school pupils in the Louny region. AUTHOR: Bc. Veronika Benková DEPARTMENT: Department of physical education SUPERVISOR: PaedDr. Irena Svobodová ABSTRACT The aim of this thesis is to find out how basic swimming training taking place in Louny region affects joint mobility in children of younger school age and at the same time, compare the results of the measured group with similar, already conducted research from 2015 and 2018. In order to get results, proven joint mobility tests are used. Testing will take place twice in total; before the beginning and at the end of the swimming training, e. g. after the end of the ten two-hour lessons period. This research will be conducted for about ten weeks. Testing will take place at two primary schools. The test persons were divided according to gender into boys and girls, as well as whether they are non-swimmers and swimmers. The theoretical part deals with the characteristics of younger school age, motor skills - especially joint mobility, swimming training and swimming. In the practical part, I describe individual flexibility tests and the results gained from these tests. The work showed that swimming helps to develop flexibility, but in comparison with previous...

TITLE Influence of the obligatory swimming course on flexibility of children in younger school age at Hostýnská Primary School AUTHOR Kate ina Merrelová DEPARTMENT Department of physical education SUPERVISOR PaedDr. Irena Svobodová ABSTRACT This Master thesis aims at flexibility of children in younger school age. Specifically, to determine the effect of basic swimming course on the joint mobility of younger school age. We will use verified tests for joint mobility for this detection. The testing will take place twice. The first time it will be at the beginning of the swimming course and the second time it will be after two months of ongoing swimming course. The tested group will consist of pupils from the Hostýnská Primary School who have participated in the swimming course. Boys and girls will be represented equally. The theoretical part will focus on the characteristics of younger school age, the characteristics of motor skills, especially on flexibility and swimming and swimming training. The practical part will be devoted to the description of research and analysis of the results of individual tests. Comparison of functions of sporttesters designed to guide and control parameters of movement in water
Hájková, Anna ; Jurák, Daniel (advisor) ; Peslová, Eva (referee)
Title: Comparison of functions of sports testers designed for control and monitoring of parameters of movement in water Objectives: Comparison and evaluation of individual functions of selected sport-testers in different types of swimming training. Methods: The research group consisted of one probande, a student of Charles University FTVS. In the research, we chose a controlled observation method to detect and compare the individual functions of selected sports testers over three types of swimming training. Results: Based on an analysis of the accuracy of the recording of observed quantities for individual sporttesters, we found that the sporttesters Polar and Garmin can be used both to manage and guide and control swimming training. However, the final record needs to be supplemented by the exact sum of the swimming metres, which in turn refines the results of the average swimming speed. The Swimmo sports tester was rated the worst, based on inaccurate measurements of individual quantities and instrument control. In an overall assessment of all devices and their parameters, the Sporttester Polar was the best. Keywords: heart rate, swimming training, Garmin, Polar, Swimmo
Changes of vital capacity of lungs in swimmers with Cerebral palsy after different types of swimming training
Koroleva, Alena ; Daďová, Klára (advisor) ; Šteffl, Michal (referee)
Title: Chages of FVC among cerebral-palsy-diagnosed para swimmers in various types of training Objectives : The aim of the thesis was to find out how significant is the VC value's change after various types of training among six para swimmers diagnosed with cerebral palsy. Methods: Six PARA PLAVÁNÍ PRAHA swimmers participated in the study with the age ranging from 22 to 37 years old. The personal spirometer was used to obtain all the data during athlete's training. We measured the data in three different training types' subgroups. Each swimmer was measured six times, two times during each phase of the training which in total lasted 30 minutes. Results: We measured the values of FVC and FEV1 of all the probands during different types of training. The values in technical training ranged from 3,13 to 7,51 litres in the FVC and 3,13 to 4,68 litres in FEV1. Furthermore we can clearly see the increase of the average FVC value by 16,1% and decrease of the FEV1 value by 3,4%. During the aerobic training the values of 2,66 to 6,11 litres FVC and 2.63 to 4,6 litres FEV1 were achieved. After the training the decrease by 1,1 % and the increase by 3,7 % in average can be seen respectively. During anaerobic training we measured the FVC values from 3,04 to 7,25 litres and only the 0,02 % increase and the FEV1...

Title: Swimming training of U11 - U15 categories in modern pentathlon clubs in the Czech Republic. Aims: The aim of this thesis was to find out what does the swimming training in U11 - U15 categories look like in major and the most successful modern penatathlon clubs in the Czech Republic. By the means of evaluation of training data from these clubs and their comparison to the competition results a conclusion was drawn about which method is the most effective in the training of swimming discipline. This thesis should confirm or disprove the assumption, the higher is the rating of the training process, the better competiton results are achieved. Not only for the training of swimming discipline, the same research is also made for the whole training in modern pentathlon with the same assumptions. Methods: The data from selected pentathlon clubs about their training process were obtained by the method of questioning. The competition results were obtained through public access on the official website of the Czech Union of Modern Pentathlon. The training data was processed and evaluated by converting them to a comparable quantitative level using scoring, weighting factors, or averaging. The competition data were processed by analyzing the competition results. The method of data comparing was used to draw...

The aim of the diploma thesis is to observe the influence of articular mobility through swimming lessons in younger school age children. Verified articulated mobility tests are used for these findings. Testing will take place twice, at the beginning and at the end of the swimming training over the course of one half-year. Testing will be done in two groups of children. The first group consists of students who participate in compulsory swimming lessons. The second group consists of children regularly taking part in swimming training in the swimming section in Brandýs nad Labem. In addition, people divided into swimmers and non-swimmers, and into boys and girls, were tested. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with the characteristics of motor abilities with focus on flexibility, characteristics of younger school age children and swimming training and swimming. The practical part consists of a description of the experiment and analysis of the results of the individual flexibility tests. The results of the work have shown that swimming is an appropriate means of developing flexibility. Improvements in all the groups studied were confirmed. Title: Inclusion in Swimming Objectives: The aim of the bachelor thesis is to identify the conditions and success of inclusion of disabled people in the swimming training of healthy athletes. The sub-objective was to collect information on specifications of training of disabled swimmers; coaches' preparation; and advantages and disadvantages of inclusive training. Seven research questions had been identified. Methods: Questionnaire survey method was used to collect information about the process of inclusion, and selected swimming coaches with experience with inclusion were asked to fill it out. Answers were analyzed and interpreted in the results section of the thesis and supported with graphs and tables. Results: Research has shown that inclusion is possible in most cases immediately or within one to four weeks; that there is a lack of barrier-free space for quality training; that clients are able to adapt to a group training of non-disabled and do not require a special training for themselves; that trainers are not actively seeking for a cooperation with clients-athletes, and that the first impulse usually arises from the athlete or a person close to the athlete; that the disabled athletes are often competing in races with healthy swimmers; and, finally, that the trainers are encouraged for...
