Mentally challenging moments of intensive care's nurse

The profession of general intensive care nurse is specific in its high demands on physical, technical, ethical and mental abilities of each individual. The thesis focusses on the mental stress of the nurse, analyses potentially high-risk professional situations the nurse encounters and proposes methods for their management. The topic of mental stress and its handling has, and will, have important impact on the field. The goal of the thesis is to map the psychologically challenging situations that all of the 129 nurses approached in a smaller local medical facility considered as difficult to handle and thus have impact on their ability to cope with a demanding job. The situations are defined and evaluated using predefined hypotheses. The results of an anonymous quantitative questionnaire clearly show that the largest levels of stress and discomfort are caused by situations which are "directly connected to medical care provided by the general intensive care and accident and emergency nurse". The least discomfort is perceived in situations described as "indirectly connected to intensive care / A&E nurse duties", such as irregular working patterns and work during public holidays. Stress as an adaptive mechanism and a cultural construct

This Bachelor's dissertation concerns a stress issue. There is a big effort to create a complete insight into this phenomenon from many points of view, which consider natural and social sciences. This thesis is structurally divided into four parts, rather four points of view, where each part contains a small conclusion. The first part concerns biological perspective. Definition of stress, its history, also types and division of stress can be found there. Furthermore, there is a description of a physiological reaction and illnesses coming from stress. The second part is about a perspective of evolution and evolutionary psychology. The origin and function of adaptive mechanisms are concluded in this part as well as some of the essential adaptive problems. The next part searches for the cultural roles emphasizing some of the stressors. This chapter contains a list of the important phenomenons of the western culture and dealing with stress in a positive way. The final section of this bachelor's dissertation concerns stress as a cultural construct. The essence of that part is a description of a cultural position in the researches on stress. the burnout syndrome

The aim of this thesis is to map the occurrence and magnitude of the burnout syndrome of social workers of Labour Office in Český Krumlov, department of noninsurance social benefits. It shows the most serious stressors and evaluates if the workers are aware of relaxation techniques preventing the burnout syndrome or if the employer is offering any compensations, considering the psychical demands of the occupation. This bachelor thesis is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical, which is formed by a quantitative research of the issue. The theoretical part is based on available literature and partially on my own knowledge gained in a burnout syndrome course in an education centre, where I have obtained the certificate of completion. Another source is my seven-year long experience in the field. The methodological part contains reasons for choosing the quantitative research strategy. It also includes a description of the realization of the research inquiry. The practical part of the thesis presents the results of findings from five interviews with social workers paying out social benefits. These findings are answering the given hypotheses concerned by perception of delimitation on 1st January 2012 by social workers.

The diploma thesis concentrates on the stress that the vast majority of employees face today. The thesis analyzes the various types of stress, its indication and manifestation. Furthemore, the factors that contribute to stress, their identification and elimination are also discussed. The focus of the thesis is on the theoretical analyzis of the problems. Moreover, it measures the stressors on the workplace, too. Specifically, it evaluates the level of stress in P&L spol. s.r.o. In the conclusion, the recommendations that decrease the detected stress factors are given.

The Master´s thesis “Stress evaluation, coping and reduction” is dealing with a topic of work-related stress, which is very common at working places of many companies nowadays. The theoretical part is focused on definition of basic concepts of stress and common techniques of coping and reduction of stress. The practical part provides a measurement of certain level of work-related stress in Henkel Slovensko, spol. s r.o. company based on questionnaire survey. The conclusion of the thesis contains the recommendations focused on reduction of certain stress factors´ impact and precaution of formation of work-related stress.

The Master´s Thesis „Stress evaluation, coping and reduction” deals with analyzing stress in students, ordinary workers and top managers. The theoretical part analyzes stress, effects of stress, its impact on human health, his work / study results and overall his life. The practical part is concerned with the influence of stress on students, ordinary workers and top managers, using a questionnaire. On the basis of the analysis is specified what causes stress for the various groups, how most respondents solve the stress. The conclusion of the work includes the proposal of effective coping and stress reduction for each group of respondents.

The master´s thesis on the theme "Stress evaluation, coping and reduction" focuses on the analysis of stress load on students, future managers, entrepreneurs and other professionals. The work explains what stress is, which are the causes of its emergence, how increased stress load can influence us and how to manage stress. In the practical part I will compare the scale of stress load between different groups of students and on the basis of this analysis I will specify the most frequent factors that stress students the most. In conclusion, I will formulate specific recommendations, how stress can be reduced.
