Poverty and its solution within the social security system

The focus of this bachelor's thesis is the problem of poverty and historical development of its solution in the area of today's Czech Republic. The thesis is divided into four chapters. The first part of thesis defines the term "poverty" and describes its types and also the most frequent causations. The second chapter intercepts gradual evolution of the solution to poverty in the Czech area and defines the most important instruments in particular eras. The third part provides a description of the current applicable legislation. The last chapter evaluates this applicable legislation and outlines potential effective changes and amendments. The aim of this thesis is to evaluate the applicable legislation and to make an attempt to find and recommend useful changes in current system, taking into consideration the potential use of a former "hometown law".
State social policies on material need in Czech republic and United Kingdom

(in English): The theme of this thesis is State social policy on material need in the Czech republic and the United Kingdom. The historical part describes the main trends in state social policies on material need in both countries and their development since 1945 with focus on benefit systems. The second part describes in comparative perspective benefit systems and recent reforms of means - tested minimum income benefits, support benefits for households on low income like housing benefits and basic conditions their claimants (especially those "out of work") have to meet. In both countries, governments who started their terms in office in 2010, initiated reforms with intentions to simplify the systems, intesify the work incentives and to reduce the spendings on means- tested benefits. The reader is introduced to basic concepts and main aspects of these reforms and critical views and comments, expressed about their implementation.
The Concept of Worker in the European Law

The author in its Dissertation thesis deals with the concept of worker under the free movement rights in EU law. Following the introduction, the thesis itself focuses on the positive and negative delimitation of the concept. One of the core chapters of the "positive part" tries to find an answer on the research question whether any "Keck-like" principle exists as a criterion for defining obstacles to the free movement of workers. The aim of the chapter is to find an answer what shall be subsumed under the obstacles to free movement of workers and what are Member States left with to regulate freely on their territories. In regard with the negative delimitation of the concept, the author deals with the diversion between workers and non-economically active citizens of the EU. The core chapter deals with the growing tendency of Union citizens to move to the host Member States to study while retaining the status of a worker.
Form of social assistance in a shelter for mothers with children

Bachelor thesis is devoted to social assistance to mothers in a shelter for mothers with children. The main research question is: What was the life story of a mother before coming to the shelter? The theoretical part of this thesis contains a description of family in today's society, its possible problems, social services and shelters for mothers with children. This section describes the definition, objectives, mission and types of shelters, as well as the methods used here and emergency assistance. The practical part consists of methodical part, where qualitative research was used. This part presents the research sample and the results obtained from the interviews.
Phenomenon of homelessness in context of welfare services offer in Benešov city.

The aim of this diploma thesis is to familiarize with offer of welfare services for homeless people in Benešov City on the basis of theoretical knowledge and information about phenomenon of homelessness. Also to show the influence of social services offer on the life of homeless person, to call attention to other connections and importance of a form of social service help in a role of low-cost daily centre, doss-houses and field services for people without shelter. For research part of the thesis was chosen a qualitative research for its possibilities to examine some specific broadly defined phenomenon and to bring sufficient amount of information about it. Case study method was used. Results of the research part are summarized in the end. The effect of use of social services offer for homeless people in Benešov city on the quality of their lives is exposed. Discovered conclusions point out to importance of help and support which is offered through social services.
Mapping the supply of social assistance to prostitutes in Dubí

This work maps the supply of social assistance to prostitutes in Dubí. Its aim is to determine which organizations are active in this direction and what is their job. For this detection was used a method called "snowball", followed by an analysis of written documents of these organizations and data collection through interviews with their staff. It was found that five oraganizations were here. Of these are currently only three aktive: Rozkoš bez rizika, Diecézní charita i Litoměřice and WHITE LIGHT I. I managed to create an overview of the activities of all the identified entities. Some information about conditions that they have in Dubí were found at the same time. The results of my work can be used by organisations themself for their better work coordination, as well as for city hall, which could be able to gain a better view of services, which have been afforded in its scope.
Social security in the Russian Federation

The bachelor thesis deals with social security in the Russian Federation. The thesis is divided into three chapters. The first chapter is an introduction to social security, including an explanation of the main key terms and terms related. The second chapter provides a description of social security in Russia in the areas of pension and health insurance and social assistance. Chapter number three provides an assessment of the social security in the Russian Federation, definition of the main problems and formulation of proposals for possible suggestions for changes to the legislation.
Analysis of expenses on social security

This diploma thesis analyzes the social security system in the Czech Republic. From 1995 to 2014 are gradually being analyzed spending on these benefits stemming from the state budget. Besides the analysis itself is partial goal to familiarize readers with the structure and construction of the social security system in the Czech Republic. In the thesis there is also made a comparison with selected countries based on at-poverty risk rate. This indicator is compared before and after the payment of social benefits in those states. At the end of the thesis there is created a regression model to predict spending on unemployment benefits untill year 2018.
