The Doctrine of Creation and Theology of the Neglected World: A Conversation with O. Clément, R. Rohr, N. T. Wright and the Pope Francis
Paluchníková, Štěpánka ; Noble, Ivana (advisor) ; Kočandrle Bauer, Kateřina (referee)
This diploma thesis entitled The Doctrine of Creation and Theology of the Neglected World: A Conversation with O. Clément, R. Rohr, N. T. Wright and the Pope Francis aims to interpret the doctrine of creation and theology of the world as helping to rediscover the significance of today's neglected world as an inhabited and habitable place created by a good Creator who gave the world its eschatological orientation, which is renewed through Christ and in the Spirit. In this study I have a conversation with French Orthodox theologian Olivier Clément, the American Franciscan Richard Rohr, the British Anglican theologian and Bishop N. T. Wright and the Latin American Pope Francis. Each of them helps me, in a specific way, to understand in what sense the neglected world, together with man, can and does undergo transformations so that 'the world for death becomes the world for glory.' This perspective of creation which is eucharistic, universal, continuous and good shows how to achieve this goal.
Healing interventions of Jesus
Abstract This paper attempts to map topic of illness and healing in ancient Israel from a biblical perspective. It focuses first on the Old Testament stories of healing by prophets and then on the New Testament stories when Jesus and his...

Meaning of the Sin Offering
Ciprová, Marie ; Beneš, Jiří (advisor) ; Holubová, Markéta (referee)
The intention of this thesis is to try to uncover the meaning of the sin offering once again. To get to this new point of view, it uses synchronic methods and thorough analysis of defined texts of Leviticus (from the first, the fourth and the sixth chapter) and it even uses analysis of single words in a wider context. First it is concerned about getting deeply into the understanding of what sin is, then that the sacrificial animal probably becomes the sin and the sin is killed. Also there is a priest, who makes rites with the blood and the fat. It is likely that both of these rites have very deep sense. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

This bachelor thesis deals with St. Augustine and his theology of grace. It first analyses the thoughts and ideas of Saint Paul, the Apostle, which are relevant to the subject. Then it moves on to explaining the continuous development of Augustine's study of grace: how it is portrayed in his early works, the way in which it developed in his argument with Pelagius, and finally it introduces Augustine's most radical idea - the concept of predestination from his work To Simplician. Michálek, Ondřej ; Outrata, Filip (advisor) ; Hošek, Pavel (referee)
In this work I explore the subject of theological motives in the worlds of John Ronald Reuel Tolkien - Middle-earth, Clive Staples Lewis - Narnia and George Lucas - Star Wars. In the world of the Middle-earth, it will be the whole canon, which contains stories from the Middle- earth focusing on The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit. I will use all seven books from the world of Narnia. In George Lucas's world, I'm mainly using the so-called G-canon. If there's a topic that's not covered by this canon, I'll look into the so-called T-canon, or the C-canon. I will compare the different theological questions in the approaches of an author influenced by Anglicism, Catholicism and Methodism with Buddhism. The most important questions for me will be creation, sin, grace, hope, forgiveness and redemption. For each topic, I compare the approaches and compare them to the biblical narrative. The aim of the work is if and howt extent these stories reflect a biblical view of man and of history.
