Vrána, Adam ; ing.arch. Lukáš Ležatka, Ph.D (referee) ; Pavlovský, Tomáš (advisor)
The aim of the assignment was to rehabilitate the area of the Brno embankment of the river Svitava and the nearby surroundings of the river. This is the modification of the river's seashore, the modification of public spaces and the completion of individual objects. The solved territory is defined in the east and north of Cejl streets, on the east of the Svitava river and on the south by Tkalcovska street. The principles of the proposal are based on the necessary changes to the territory. The biggest problem of the area is the area backups for the hypermarket parking lot and the urbanistically incoherent structure of the courtyards and the poorly functioning waterfront. The proposal focuses on making the river accessible and bringing water closer to people. On the waterfront the bicycle path is used not only by cyclists. The former hypermarket is converted into a shopping mall and the ground floor of the seafront is made up of shops, services, cafes and restaurants. For humans, a river was available that could touch water. For relaxation and recreation, the terraces are provided. Better permeability also offers the river itself. By modifying the footbridge and delivering a new footbridge in the middle part, pedicists and cyclists can better cross the river. The park and the reclamation of planted trees have been modified. The Svitavy Drive in the section of the park was also accessible by foot. The siding was preserved to a certain extent in order to be able to prepare a wagon with a café or other possibilities of the Svitava festival under the steam. The construction of new houses increases the attractiveness of the area itself and offers both flats overlooking the river with the dominant of the church as well as services in the workshops of the individual houses. Cejl street has a green and a plumbing and a missing pit. Transparency for people is from the weft loom on the waterfront through the park, business or residential street.Residential homes have ma

Varga, Peter ; Mikeš, Stanislav (referee) ; Guzdek, Adam (advisor) ; Šuhajda, Karel (advisor)
The topic of the bachelor thesis is the restoration of former limestone in the village of Grygov. The document is based on an architectural study prepared within the subject AG034 Studio of Architectural Creation – Restoration of Monuments. The limestone building is located southeast of the built-up part of the village Grygov in connection with a significant landscape phenomenon of limestone quarries. Restoration is solved as a conversion, when the building is changed its original function. At the same time, it is a modernization of the building with an emphasis on preserving its original character. The intention was to convert the industrial building and industrial spaces into a multi-purpose cultural centre. The concept of restoration is to preserve the unique areas of the limestone factory, searching for a connection between the industrial character of the limestone factory from the 19th century and new, modern constructions. The object was approached by the principle of preserving what is valuable and replaceable or cancelling non-renewable parts. The proposed changes do not disturb the overall architectural character and appearance of the existing building. Dispositional changes are proposed by resolving the disposition of the limestone factory to the multifunctional centre. Unique spaces and structures will be preserved, namely an oval furnace, a walkway, a wooden ceiling, a perimeter wall made of quarry stone, a chimney and the eastern part of the roof. The building on the northwest side is in a demolished condition due to a collapsed roof structure. The spaces on the 1st floor are functionally divided into three parts. Exhibition, multifunctional spaces, sanitary and technical equipment, small restaurant with bar. The spaces on the 2nd floor are divided into two parts. A large hall, which is connected by a staircase to the ground floor. The attic space of the 2nd floor is divided by the chimney.

The bachelor's thesis follows up on the architectural study created by me in the third year of the academic year 2019/2020 within the subject AG035 - Studio of Architectural Creation V - Restoration of Monuments. The content of this bachelor's thesis is the elaboration of a study to the level of documentation for a building permit and part of the documentation for the construction. The solved building was built in the first half of the 18th century. In 1930, a fire broke out in the village, including the town spa. The whole truss burned down, leaving only the perimeter walls. After 6 years of reconstruction, the building reopened to the public. There was a spa, hotel and inn. At present, there are doctors' surgeries, social flats, the Čapek Brothers Museum, public toilets, and a ceremonial hall. The main intention was to restore the late Baroque appearance of the building. The biggest construction intervention will be the removal of the third floor and the removal of the false mansard roof. It will be replaced by a hipped roof with a residential attic, as it was originally. Removing the existing roof structure will reduce the number of storyes, but the height of the building will remain almost the same. The new roof shape is hipped with a purlin truss system. All the original brickwork of the load-bearing interior and perimeter walls will be preserved. More modern extensions from the rear of the building and the internal partition will also be removed. The layout will be adjusted according to the function of the part of the building. Division of functional parts into city spas and short-term accommodation, Museum of the Čapek Brothers, ceremonial hall and part reserved for doctors. The external expression of the building dates back to the late Baroque period, according to historical photographs and postcards. The subject of the bachelor's thesis is the renovation of a rural house in Prasklice. The project is based on the subject AG033 - Studio of Architectural Creation - Restoration of Monuments. Returning to the original appearance and character of the second half of the 19th century are a priority for design and restoration. The building was built after 1850 and served as a country estate. The object from the beginning of its creation served as a background with an agriculturally economical character. The object changed over time, each time it was a functional adjustment, so that the object could better serve its economical lot. Early additions and necessary renovations have affected the current appearance of the building. Viewed from the main street, the right part of the building serves as a museum and is in the spirit of village housing from the second half of the 19th century.century. Additional functions are the storage of old finds, teaching pupils and the population in the economy and its structure. The right part has 6 key rooms, each of which will have its purpose, which will repeat the previous way of living (kitchen, living room, bedroom, hallway, pigsty and barn). The pigsty will be returned to its original state, and the next barn will be returned to its former period by offering various things from the past. The left part of the building has a rather commercial character. It includes a room for rent for any activity, a waiting room, a nurse's office and a doctor's office. This solution will serve both for visits of ordinary villagers, and for the elderly of the newly built object of the nursing home, which needs its doctor. Behind the office there is a restaurant, which has its own food preparation room and can accept 20 visitors. In the core of the left part there is a sanitary facility, which can serve both for offices and for visitors to the restaurant, and is created in accordance with the standards for barrier-free use of structure
