Nožičková, Barbora ; Koldinská, Kristina (advisor) ; Munková, Gabriela (referee)
The theses is referring to The Comparison of Health Insurance Systems in the Czech Republic, Germany, Switzerland and the Neetherlands. It is focusing on three main components of the medical insurance system, the insurance companies, the healthcare providers and the insured parties. Each of these components has a significant role within the medical system and as their representation in distinct areas is quite broad, I prefered to choose the key areas where the medical insurance figures the most. Each chapter characterises one of the main components of the medical insurance system. First two chapters are the introduction and the models of financing of different medical systems. Third chapter depicts the main characteristics of the insurance system in each country. Fourth chapter names the rights and the duties of the insured person. Fifth chapter is acknowledged to the insurance companies and their role in the financement of the medical system. The last component of the medical system, the health care providers, are defined in the sixth chapter. The conclusion is attributed to the comparisson between the countries regarding the components listed above. The comparation of the health public systems in the Czech republic and Austria
Contracts between health insurance companies and regional hospitals
Rezek, Štěpán ; Dobiášová, Karolína (advisor) ; Angelovská, Olga (referee)
The main focus of the thesis is the multilayered view of regional hospitals on their contractual relationship with health insurance companies. The thesis draws information from two case studies of regional hospitals in Central Bohemia. These case studies have allowed me to map the whole process of establishing a contractual relationship with health insurance companies from the first contact to the final conclusion of the contract for a particular year. Through mapping the process I have identified a number of problematic areas that are encountered when concluding contracts. Thesis has also concentrated on the establishment and content of the payment regulation which, to a large extent, determines the final form of the contractual relationship. One of the goals of the thesis is the identification of key problems stemming from the parameters of the contractual relationship and payment mechanism. These problems are analyzed on the level of hospitals, individual specialized units, and in relation to the provision of health care to patients.
Constitutional limits of the statutory regulation of the provision of health care
Soukup, Ondřej ; Gerloch, Aleš (advisor) ; Suchánek, Radovan (referee)
and key words ! Thesis: Constitutional limits of statutory regulation of the provision of health care ! Abstract ! The main goal of this thesis is to characterize and analyse the legal regulation concerning the provision and payment of health care under Czech law. This analysis is based mainly on the Charter of Fundamental Rights and Basic Freedoms as the foundation for the constitutional perspective. The thesis therefore begins with the constitutional limits of the provision and payment of health care. The right to health care is provided by Article 31 of the Charter of Fundamental Rights and Basic Freedoms, which is the basis for its constitutional provision. As the Charter is a complex document, Article 31 must therefore not be seen as isolated, which is why other Articles are taken under consideration. This provides a complex view of the right to health care in the Czech constitution. The thesis then focuses on the characterization of statutes and executive regulations, which provide the basic right to health care. This part of the thesis is focused mainly on the Public Health Insurance Act, as the most important statue in this area and also on executive regulations based on the Act, which imminently regulate the right to health care. Both of these parts of the thesis serve as a precise...

The first practical part examines the Czech market in public health insurance in 2014 and describes the products and benefits offered by selected health insurance companies valid until 23rd March 2014. The second practical part provides a comparison of selected health insurance companies and their products, followed by a suggestion of the most beneficial insurance company for a model client.
The legal position of the private healthcare providers in the Czech healthcare system
Dobiáš, Michal ; Tröster, Petr (advisor) ; Koldinská, Kristina (referee)
The purpose of my Master's thesis in law is to analyse the legal position which the private healthcare providers (i.e. operators of private healthcare facilities) occupy in the Czech healthcare system, particularly in the system of public health insurance. Since the private providers emerged in the Czech Republic only after the Velvet Revolution in 1989, the development of their position within the system is relatively short and unsettled. The legal regulation of the field is quite complicated, yet is the subject of strong political controversies, partly due to the generous but vaguely formulated constitutional right to free healthcare. Currently, the Parliament is in the middle of adoption of the healthcare reform of larger scale which would make changes that deserve to be examined. The thesis is composed of Introduction, three chapters and Conclusion. Each of the chapters aims on different aspect of the topic; however, they are interlinked by common legal institutes which play role in the whole thesis. First two subchapters of Chapter I are most general and introduce the possible ways of financing healthcare (public and private insurers, direct payment) and its specifics. The options of foreign citizens are also clarified. After the conclusion that the most important system in the Czech context...
