The design consists of 13 main arc lattice girders in the transverse direction for a distance of 7.5 m in the longitudinal direction of the structure consisting of planar lattice strips (girders) and purlins. All this is complemented by a reinforced system. Two dimensions are retained.
Multipurpose Sport Hall
Jakubíček, Tomáš ; Barnat, Jan (referee) ; Buchta, Stanislav (advisor)
I designed supporting structure of roofing for multipurpose sports hall located in Pardubice. Building height is 15 meters and the other two dimensions are 50x80 meters. It is an arched truss construction, which is located above the roof deck. The arch is asymmetrically supported with a height difference of supports 6.5 m. The actual frame is made out of steel S355 and is formed by circular profiles. The solution chosen offers free ceiling inside the hall and shows the supporting structures. Part of my bachelor thesis was to made static calculations and drawings.

The subject of the thesis is the design and assessment of the roof storage shed. The work addresses four different types of roof structures for hall´s ground plan in size of 12 x 24 m. For each structure is defined geometry, loads, internal forces and drawing up of the opinion of selected elements. The thesis also concerns some important structural details and their solutions. Location of the hall: Brno.
Stress-strain analysis of the bar system
Pop, Miroslav ; Profant, Tomáš (referee) ; Houfek, Martin (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with the issue of rod systems, which represent a special type of construction widely used in the building and mechanical industry. In the introductory part is presented a theoretical basis and methods of static solution of rod systems are described, then it is described stress of rod systems and are derived relations that were subsequently used for the calculation of the specific example. In the practical part, the thesis deals with the analytical calculation of the planar rod system in shape of a power line pylon, for which the cross-sections of the members are designed and the magnitude of the stresses and deformation displacements are calculated. For the calculation, the general method of joints was used and cross sections were designed with respect to the elastic limit state and the buckling stability limit state. At the end of the work, the results of the analytical calculation were verified with numerical solution in software ANSYS Workbench.
The roof construction of an ice-hockey field
Pauer, Jan ; Bukovská, Pavla (referee) ; Štrba, Michal (advisor)
The Bachelor´s thesis deals with supproting steel structure roof of ice rink for sport and recreation use in Kyjov. As the main material of bearing elements was designed steel S355. The building has a rectangular shape with dimensions of 30 x 60 m, clear hight at the highest point is 8 m. The supporting structure consist of columns and arched truss girder. The distance of each cross links is 5 m. In the structure design is deal with two variants of supporting system. For the chosen variant is further processed a static calculation of the main structural elements including selected details and drawing documentation.
Steel Structure of Industry Hall
Kačírek, Michal ; Balázs, Ivan (referee) ; Horáček, Martin (advisor)
The aim of the bachelor thesis is to design a one-nave steel structure industrial hall in Jablonne nad Orlici with dimensions 63x30m and 15.0 m in height of the structure. In the hall, two overhead cranes with lifting capacity 32/8 tons and 20/5 tons are installed. The roof structure is designed in a variant of saddle roof with truss girder and truss purling with the function of the longitudinal roof bracing. The columns are solid panel fixed to the foundation pad. The main construction material is steel classed as S355. Spatial rigidity of the structure is provided by sway bracing and longitudinal bracing. Roofing is made of sandwich panels with polyurethane foam and trapezoidal sheet thickness of 0.9 mm. It is designed in accordance with the ČSN EN 1993.
Favorit Brno / cycling stadium - bicross track / architectural study - design / stage 2021/22
Nováková, Lucie ; Žalmanová, Petra (referee) ; Šindlar, Jiljí (advisor)
The assignment of the diploma thesis is an architectural study of a cycling stadium - velodrome in the Pisárky district in Brno for TJ Favorit Brno. The existing velodrome is located southwest on the edge of the Brno Exhibition Center on Křížovského Street. The Velodrome no longer meets the current requirements of track cycling, but it is historically valuable and has its genius loci. The new 250 m long wooden bike track (together with other parameters of the International Cycling Union) and its associated sports grounds are "inserted" into the existing velodrome, which is modified and reconstructed according to requirements. The grandstands have been preserved. The built-in building with a new track is then completely roofed, creating an enclosed space. As part of the stadium reconstruction, a new facility was also created for TJ Favorit Brno from a modular container system; These are changing rooms for athletes, administrative areas, and facilities for visiting clubs and athletes and IP areas. The container construction system for sports facilities is very practical, economical, fast, environmentally friendly, variable, and flexible to the current requirements of a constantly evolving sport. The Anteroom and ground floor in the southern part of the existing velodrome is equipped with services for the public: a cafe, souvenir shop, cash register, information center, service, and a bicycle and sports equipment store. The new track with grandstands is covered with ETFE foil anchored to new lattice trusses, which are connected to the existing roof.
Connecting Footbridge
Sláma, Jakub ; Štrba, Michal (referee) ; Brosch, Petr (advisor)
The subject of this master’s thesis was desingn and assessments the connection of two buildings by footbridge corridor. The structure was designed as a lattice structure without verticals. Construction is stored on two pillars lattice design. Cladding footbridge was cosidered by glazing. Construction is freestanding and doesn’t load bordering adjacent buildings.
Brno New Train Station and its Public Spaces
Sedláček, Jakub ; Hybská, Bohumila (referee) ; Sedláček, Michal (advisor)
The topic of the Diploma thesis is a design of the New train station in Brno. The plot is located on the boundary of three city districts – Komárov, Štýřice and Trnitá. This area includes the railway structure for the new train station and also its public spaces, which are very close to the river Svratka. The railway structure is designed as bridge construction, that rises all platforms and rail tracks to 7,65 metres above the ground level. So all of the railways do not become a barrier in the city. The main concept extends a longitudinal axis of the city boulevard through the train station, which creates a high-rise building in the southern part of the plot. This axis is written not only to the layout but also to the roof design. The train station includes two underground levels, ground floor and first floor. Underground levels consist of P+R parking, deliveries only area, technical facilities and subway terminal. The ground floor is the main traffic centre. There is an entrance hall, shopping area, bus terminal and public corridors. The first floor includes platforms for train departures and arrivals. There are also public spaces in the entrance hall. The basic structural system consists of two parts. The first part is a massive reinforced concrete structure of the railway bridge deck and all underground levels. This structure is based on reinforced concrete foundation pads with drilled piles. The second part is a steel frame structure of the roof. That includes steel columns and truss girders for the structure of the lower area. The higher part of the roof is designed as a steel-truss bridge with the characteristic profile. The new train station supposes to create a new gate to the city of Brno, that connects contemporary districts with the historical city center.
