Transformations Capacity in selected Social Services for Seniors in the Pilsen Region
KUČERA, Vít
The demographic changes of society affect its structure, which is the subject of many disciplines and experts working in them. In the introductory part of this work we draw on knowledge from demographic prognoses, followed by data on the legal definition, planning and importance of selected social services of homes for dementia and Alzheimer's special care and respite. The aim of this work is to show the perspective of social service providers, namely how they perceive the increase in service capacities. The main objective was to map out the process of accessing homes for dementia and Alzheimer's special care and respites in residential form. In the research, two sub-objectives were defined, namely the identification of limits for capacity building of homes for dementia and Alzheimer's special care and relief services. Using the questioning method and semi-structured interview techniques, are the limits identified, which social services providers must face today and, on the other hand, the limits that appear to be restrictive in the future horizon, according to social service providers. Based on the research has been found that the most problematic factors concern personnel and financial services. In addition, limits were identified in cooperation with the Pilsen region. The results of this work are evidence of individual systemic discrepancies, which are evident both at national and regional level. That is why they pay attention to work about possible solutions that reflect the very importance of this topic. The results obtained can serve as a reflection in the planning of social services at the regional level, the professional and lay public, or as a proof of the status of social services in this territory.

Sustainability of the pension reform in Slovakia
Lišková, Martina ; Janotík, Tomáš (advisor) ; Dózsa, Martin (referee)
This paper explores the sustainability of pension system in Slovakia on the local institutional, socio- economic and political background, analyzing the past and current reforms and their impact on public finance. In the first, theoretical part of the paper, the World Bank strategy is sketched out to provide general framework for sustainability of reforms and their goals, and actual past reforms that took place in Slovakia from 2004 until present are dissected. These reforms are most notable for their reorientation from pure pay-as-you-go system to combined PAYG and fully funded system. While this step alleviates the crushing implicit social security debt to some extent, it is shown that not even the latest reforms alone will suffice to cover the increasing burden of the pension system on public spending. Therefore, in the empirical part of the paper, several parametric reforms are proposed and are analyzed from long term perspective (until 2100) using the World Bank PROST economic model. These scenarios approximately represent some of the reforms currently on the table that could be carried out in the near future. The varying inputs are retirement age, the contribution rate for the fully funded system, the replacement rate, the affiliation rate and the type of valorization, with the output being...

There are measures relating to the education, working conditions, flexible employment as well as safety and health care at work. According to the measurement results LEA, interest in the problems of elderly people and their position in the labor market has recently increased and the concept of the age management has became familiar in companies, but still it is not sufficient part of the HR strategies within an organization.

The structure of the population is in detail described in terms of demography and economy in the thesis. To achieve all marked out objectives is made a graphic analysis of the unemployment rate of three specified age groups of the population in 2005 to 2014 up to the region level, which are divided into four groups according to economic prosperity and lagging regions. It is becoming more and more likely that we can expect increased numbers of employees 50+, and therefore government policy should pay sufficient attention to this group. The Crisis Of The Welfare State And Perspectives
Duranová, Marie ; Krebs, Vojtěch (advisor) ; Loužek, Marek (referee)
The thesis deals with the problem of welfare state. It focuses on a comprehensive analysis of the causes of the welfare state's problems, and, furthermore it outlines the risks that these problems bring. In the analytical part, these risks are calculated in three areas, which are financing system, family policy and population aging. The Czech Republic is compared in these indicators with countries that have been selected based on Esping-Andersen typology of welfare state: the UK, Germany, Denmark and the United States of America. The results of the analysis are evaluated in conclusion of the thesis. On this basis, ther are formulated recommendations for the Czech Republic, which has the biggest deficiencies in family policy in comparison with other selected countries. Denmark, a representative of the Scandinavian welfare state model, has relatively best results; on the other hand, the United States, with its emphasis on free market, individual freedom and own responsibility principles, face the challenge. The crisis of the welfare state does not have to necessarily result into the end; however, it is inevitable to imply certain unavoidable steps. These measures do not hold for the Czech Republic.
